The pandemic has been a catalyst for both negative and positive developments in public transport fares. In the field of public transport, total automation of all segments of passenger public transport is required. The purpose of the study is to substantiate the problems of innovating payment services in public transport as part of the overall ecosystem of the payment business and to find directions for the innovative development of payment services and train payment systems in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. The study uses a systematic approach and theoretical methods for generalizing and comparing data, a structured description of the characteristics of the Russian payment services market. The proposed directions of innovative development of payment services and train payment systems in public transport are proposed to be implemented in the general system of digital innovation of the economy (integration of automated fare payment systems into a unified system of state and municipal services, inclusion of all intracity and intercity carriers of all types of transport into the automated payment system for passenger transport services, transport roaming / mutual integration of systems, introduction of differentiated fare payment by zones, expansion of the range of payment instruments, fiscalization of the services of transport companies, the transition to a fully automated system of payment for the train with a complete rejection of the physical presence of conductors).

The optimization of public toilet maintenance in Covid-19 pandemic era

In the Covid-19 pandemic situation, various diseases generate society's anxiety. Covid-19 is transmitted through nose or mouth droplets and faeces of humans infected with the virus. Such condition requires people to keep both private and public toilets clean to avoid the risk of Covid-19 transmission. In Indonesia, many people still defecate haphazardly (open defecation), resulting in environmental pollution and disease spread. For that reason, a policy is required to appeal to the people to plan public toilet construction as ruled and to maintain it routinely. This research studies the social reality of many people still having open defecation behaviour in Surakarta, Indonesia, which requires environmental management. This case study was conducted through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation related to the phenomenon. The research shows some factors causing many people to still defecate haphazardly in Surakarta: firstly, no toilet or no funds to construct it;secondly, limited access to clean water;and thirdly, population-dense urban settlement. The community-Based Total Sanitation Approach (CBTSA) appears as the government's response to optimize the cleanliness of toilets by the community. © 2023 Author(s).

The use of gadgets to support the learning process during this pandemic has become necessary, such as cellphones, tablets, laptops, and various other gadgets. The blue light on the gadget is one of the causes of asthenopia: tired eyes, symptoms of blurred vision, difficulty focusing, dry eyes, watery irritation, headaches, neck or back tension, and makes the mind tired quickly. This study aims to determine the impact of using gadgets on eye health and how to control it. The research design was cross-sectional in a purposive sample with a survey on 48 students of Universitas Widya Husada Semarang (UWHS) Semarang City Indonesia. Data was taken by surveying a sample of students who took part in online learning using gadgets in smartphones, laptops, and desktop computers. The greatest effect occurred in decreased visual acuity (76.7%) and the smallest on perceptual speed (37.5%). Negative effects were felt by students in the range of close to 50%, but a small number of students only felt effects with high severity. Measures to control the dangers of using gadgets are carried out by arranging gadget duration for learning purposes. © 2023 Author(s).
