Recently a lot of medical tablets with special packets in the global market are available. For the safety and purity of the tablet, we need to scan it by developed scanner technology, which should be not more expensive and easily available in the market. The THz technology is one of them. In the proposed work, we have tasted tablet images with the help of the THz super-resolution scanner, which is already available in our lab. The AI machine learning data concept has been investigated. Good resolution of images has been obtained. Furthermore, the challenging research problems are discussed. Finally, it summarizes the recent updates in terahertz technology for drug inspection and medical applications with potential research challenges.

The simulation of the electromagnetic wave propagation plays an important role in predicting the performance of wireless transmission and communication systems. This research paper performs a numerical simulation using the finite element method (FEM) to study electromagnetic propagation through both conductive and dielectric media. The simulations are made using the COMSOL Multiphysics software which notably implements the finite element method. The microwave is produced by a Vivaldi antenna at the respective frequencies of 2.6 and 5 GHz and the propagation equation is formulated from Maxwell’s equations. The results obtained show that in the air, strong electric fields are observed in the slot and the micro-strip line for the two frequencies, they are even greater when the wave propagates in the glass and very weak for the copper. The 3D evolutions of the wave in air and glass present comparable values at equal frequencies, the curves being more regular in air (dielectric). The radiation patterns produced for air and glass are directional, with a large main lobe, which is narrower at 5 GHz. For copper, the wave propagation is quite uniform in space, and the radiation patterns show two main lobes with a much larger size at 2.6 GHz than at 5 GHz. The propagation medium would therefore influence the range of values of the gain of the antenna.

We have designed a Metamaterial unit-cell for 9 GHz frequency. Periodic structure was used at 4.25 × 4.25 mm with a thickness of 0.35 mm and giving us the 99.99% of absorbance at 9 GHz in simulated results. We have implemented a rectangular microstrip antenna and loaded it with Metamaterial unit-cells which provided improved results. There were results available for reflection coefficient (s11 parameter) at 9 GHz and also helping for the reduction of the Radar Cross Section of an antenna, which reduced more than 20 dB and not affected its directivity and gain.

This paper presents an application of stitched ground plane for microstrip patch antenna design. In this work Matlab interface to computer embroidery techniques were used to implement the felt and denim substrates on microstrip patch antenna. These antennas were simulated using a commercial full 3D electromagnetic CST Microwave Studio 2019. A method to optimize the stitch patterns with conductive thread for antenna ground plane for 2.45 GHz industrial, scientific, and medical (ISM) band and 5 GHz wearable wireless local area networks (WLAN) frequencies was achieved. Rigid and flexible wearable antennas (microstrip patch antennas) were fabricated using the stitched ground plane. The electrical resistance was reduced between the meshes during the stitching design process. Results in terms of bandwidth, radiation patterns and reflection coefficients (S 11 ) are presented.

In this paper, new values of efficiency for coated and non-coated carbon nanotube dipole antennas are found at different ranges of length and constant radius to have an effective model in wireless communication technology, biomedical engineering, sensors and solar cells. The main issue is to get matching between the antenna and the feeding source (discreet port). To have the best value of matching impedance by optimization method through entering trials of impedance value the aim of this paper is to have the best result of efficiency in each length. A new value of efficiency is shown for coated carbon nanotube dipole antennas, it is about 59%.
