Multi-Thematic Earth Monitoring Capabilities Using Venµs Optical Time Series 利用微米光学时间序列的多主题地球监测能力

VENμS (Vegetation and Environment New Micro Satellite) is an Israeli-French micro-satellite which provides optical time series of Level-1 and Level-2 products over various sites on Earth. After a brief description of the mission and its specificities, the last results of radiometric and geometric performances are introduced, giving an overview of the good health of the mission. After that, different remote sensing applications are highlighted showing the capabilities of VENμS mission for land observation and monitoring. In this frame, the differences with other sensors are underlined, as well as VENμS stereoscopic capabilities for Digital Elevation Model (DEM) generation. Finally, the perspectives of this mission in the future are addressed, and a specific focus is made on the 1-day revisit objective.
