Effect of Convective Mixing Process on Storage of CO2 in Saline Aquifers with Layered Permeability 对流混合过程对层状渗盐含水层CO2储存的影响

Convective mixing of free-phase CO2 and brine in saline aquifers is an established technique to accelerate the CO2 dissolution process. Correct estimation of the convection onset time and rate of CO2 dissolution into brine are two crucial parameters regarding safety issues, as the timescale for dissolution corresponds to the same time over which the free-phase CO2 has a chance to leak out from the storage site. In real practice, underground formations are heterogeneous with a layered structure, but the convective mixing in heterogeneous porous media has received less attention than the homogeneous one. This study aims to develop a basic understanding of the role of layered permeability media (layered structure with variation in permeability vertically) on the behavior of convective mixing via well-controlled laboratory experiments. The effects of layering and layer properties on the rate of dissolution of CO2 in water and geometries of the formed convection fingers are studied using a precise experimental set-up with layered-permeability Hele-Shaw cell geometry. Qualitative (snapshots of convection fingers) and quantitative data (amount of the dissolved CO2 into water) are collected simultaneously for a better understanding of the process. The behavior of convection fingers (after the onset of convection) and the effects of model properties on this mixing process are also discussed.

Synthesis of Tris(arylphosphite)-ligated Cobalt(0) Complexes [Co2(CO)6{P(OAr)3}2], and their Reactivity towards Phenylacetylene and Diphenylacetylene 三芳基亚磷酸酯-连接钴(0)配合物[Co2(CO)6{P(OAr)3}2]的合成及其对苯乙炔和二苯乙炔的反应性

The dinuclear complexes [Co2(CO)6{P(OAr)3}2] (1a, Ar = Ph; 1b, Ar = o-Tol) were prepared and reacted with PhC≡CH and PhC≡CPh to yield dimetallatetrahedranes [{(ArO)3P}(OC)2Co-Co(μ-RC≡CPh)(CO)2{P(OAr)3}] (3a, Ar = Ph, R = H; 3b, Ar = o-Tol, R = H; 3c, Ar = Ph, R = Ph; 3d, Ar = o-Tol, R = Ph). The main reaction of diphenylacetylene was accompanied by a side reaction, leading to the dissociation of a P(OAr)3 ligand for the formation of mono(phosphite) complexes [{(ArO)3P}(OC)2Co-Co(μ-PhC≡CPh)(CO)3] (2b, R = Ph; 2d, R = o-Tol). The crystal structures of 1b, 3a, and 3d were determined along with that of the mono(phosphite) complex [{(PhO)3P}(OC)2Co-Co(μ-PhC≡CPh)(CO)3] 2b.

A Concomitant Allergic Fungal Otomastoiditis with an Allergic Fungal Rhinosinusitis 过敏性真菌耳乳突炎伴发过敏性真菌鼻鼻窦炎

Background: Allergic fungal otomastoiditis is a rare ear condition characterized by the presence of a specific middle ear mucus usually found in allergic bronchopulmonary aspergillosis. Methods: We report a case of concomitant allergic fungal otomastoiditis and rhinosinusitis in an immunocompetent 27-year-old man complaining of right otorrhea and nasal discharge for 6 months resistant to any medical treatment. Examination revealed a sticky mucus arising from a polypoid middle ear associated with a right middle meatus purulent discharge. Surgical treatment revealed no cholesteatoma but thick yellowish mucus and a fungal ball, as targeted by imaging, both of which containing Aspergillus species. Result: The patient received short postoperative systemic corticotherapy and showed no recurrence 6 months after. Discussion: Allergic fungal otomastoidis should be considered in the face of a sticky mucus arising from perforated chronic otitis, especially when associated with allergic fungal rhinosinusitis. Autoimmune Ganglionic Enteropathy Associated with Myasthenia Gravis and Thymoma 重症肌无力和胸腺瘤相关的自身免疫性神经节性肠病

Background: Autonomic neuropathies causing gastrointestinal complications are uncommon. Case Presentation: We report a case in which autoimmune autonomic enteric neuropathy was associated with myasthenia gravis and thymoma. Conclusion: Autoimmune autonomic enteric neuropathies are exceedingly rare, with only 10 cases reported in the literature to date. All have been associated with thymoma. We describe the prevalence of associated antibodies, summarise the previous cases and treatment received.

Review of Anaesthesia and Analgesia in Patients with COVID-19 in Brazil 巴西COVID-19患者麻醉和镇痛研究综述

Severe acute respiratory syndrome (COVID-19), produced by SARS-CoV-2, remains a challenge for modern medicine and a global health problem. For every 100 patients with COVID-19, about 20 need hospital care. In addition, some patients will be intubated and others under mechanical ventilation. Therefore, it is necessary to use drugs as a sedative and analgesic purpose, mainly. Thus, this study brings a survey on the drugs that can be used for the management of patients with COVID-19 in cases of intubation and mechanical ventilation in Brazil. In this paper, we will report the classes of anaesthetic and analgesic drugs. Highlighting the clinical indications for use, pharmacological characteristics of each drug in terms of doses, pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics and possible side effects and, in addition, peculiarities of drugs related to use in patients with COVID-19, when possible.
