Background: Multiple sclerosis represents a debilitating disease. It has many different forms and warrants further investigation. Recent evidence has linked the importance of RNA sequencing to disease progression.

Aim: The purpose of this research paper is to look at the available RNA sequencing for white matter lesion disorders in the brain and correlate to outcomes and treatment.

Methods: we performed a comprehensive systematic review to correlate RNA sequence to white matter lesion accuracy. This was done in accordance with PRISMA guidelines. We looked at ligand receptor scoring.

Results: The results are highlighted in a series of tables showing key significant findings. These findings were grouped to outcomes and treatment.

Conclusion: The paper will serve as a catalyst for further scientific development.

This study aimed to examine the effect of self-image and self-esteem on selfie addiction among fresh female students at Ahfad University (Sudan), as well as to investigate the correlation between body image and self-esteem. To achieve those objectives, the researcher adopted the descriptive research method. The sample included (400) female students whose average age was (22.5) years, selected by using a simple random sample. The study was conducted by administering three scales. The results of the study indicated that (50%) of the sample suffered from the selfie addiction between moderate to severe levels. There was a significant correlation between selfie addiction, self-esteem and body image. Moreover, it was found that both body image and self-esteem had a predictive ability to increase likelihood of selfie addiction among females. The study recommended that professionals should consider preparing prevention programs for those who have traits of a selfie addiction behavior.

Crisis management simulation is important in training the next generation of surgeons. In this review, we highlight our experiences with the cavernous carotid injury model. We then delve into other crisis simulation models available for the neurosurgical specialty. The discussion focuses upon how these trainings can continue to evolve. Much work is yet to be done in this exciting arena and we present several avenues for future discovery. Simulation continues to be an important training tool for the surgical learner.

Introduction: POEMS syndrome is a rare disease characterized by polyneuropathy, organomegaly, endocrinopathy, “M-protein” disorder and skin changes. The purpose of this article is to report a case of a patient with progressive polyneuropathy without M protein and plasma cells disorder, one of the mandatory criteria diagnosis. Case: A 43 year-old man of Japanese origin with three months of weight loss, painful feet paresthesias and reduction of muscle strength in the lower limbs. At physical examination he presented distal motor deficit in legs, global absence of profound reflexes, feet amyotrophy, hepatosplenomegaly, gynecomastia, papilledema, axilar lymph node enlargement and a cyanosis of extremities. Myelogram and bone marrow biopsy discarded myeloma or plasma cell neoplasy. Protein electrophoresis and immunofixation electrophoresis not detected “M-spike”. After a clinical worsening, new diagnosis investigation was made and a vascular endothelial growth factor dosage was available (2812 pg/ml –normal range: 31-86pg/ml). Discussion: Polyneuropathy and plasma cells disorder are both mandatory diagnosis criteria for POEMS syndrome. However, we present a case without plasma cells disorder and “M-protein spike”, with the diagnosis confirmed with the combination of characteristic clinical manifestations and elevated vascular endothelial growth factor. We highlight that in some situations the diagnose can be made with auxiliaries exams to avoid delay in starting treatment.

The brain of an infant may be the blank tablet envisaged by Locke,[1] but as it is shaped by both experience and language it develops into the mind of an adult. As the character of the maturing individual becomes defined, the mind shapes experiences decreasingly according to immediate stimuli themselves and increasingly according to linguistic interpretations of and emotional reactions to perceptions. Thus, the environment does not dictate human behavior but provides a context for its expression.
