Immunoglobulin and haematocrit values of dental pulp showing hyperaemia and acute serious pulpitis. 牙髓的免疫球蛋白和红细胞压积值显示充血和急性严重牙髓炎。

In this study, we examined how the pulpal immune systems differ in children who suffer from hyperaemia and acute serous pulpitis. The Radial Immune Diffusion (RID) method was used to measure the IgA, IgG and IgM levels in pulpal blood in hyperaemia and acute serous pulpitis cases. The patient's own peripheral blood was used as the control group. The peripheral blood was taken with a capillary tube from the finger tip. The immunoglobulins and the Htc values of the blood were measured by the radial immune diffusion method. In our research, the immunoglobulin and hematocrit values of the blood (pulpal and peripheral) of 39 patients between the ages 6 to 13 years were measured. No significant difference was found between the IgA, IgG and IgM levels of pulpal and peripheral blood in hyperaemia and acute serous pulpitis cases. In the same patients, a significant difference was noted between the Htc values of the pulpal and peripheral blood.

Comparison of microleakage between direct placement technics and direct inlay technics. 直接贴装工艺与直接镶嵌工艺的微泄漏比较。

Laboratory studies have indicated that improvements in the physical properties of composite restorations, especially for posterior teeth, may be obtained if these materials underwent heat treatment prior to insertion. The purpose of this study was to compare the microleakage in Class II restorations ending on cementum/dentine when these preparations were restored by a direct placement composite resin as opposed to a direct inlay composite resin. Thirty-six human posterior mandibular teeth were used in this study and randomly divided into three equal groups; Group I was prepared and restored with the composite Ful-fil in a direct placement technique. Groups II and III were prepared and restored using a direct composite resin inlay technique. The material used in Group II was Brillant D.I.; that of Group III, Ful-ful. All preparations terminated 1.0 mm apical to the CEJ. The composite resin patterns of Groups II and III were oven-tempered before cementing with D.I. Duo Cement. Specimens were thermocycled 125 times between 5-55 C. Microleakage was noted cervically on a scale of 0 to 5. The composite Ful-fil, used as a direct placement material, exhibited less leakage (P less than 0.05) than either the Brillant D.I. composite or Ful-fil composite when these materials were placed as direct composite inlays.

Non-enzymatic glycosylation of collagen and its relation to glycosylated haemoglobin in acute short-term diabetes. 急性短期糖尿病患者胶原蛋白非酶糖基化及其与糖化血红蛋白的关系。

Non-enzymatic glycosylation of collagen from rat-tail tendon was measured using the thiobarbitüric acid method in both normal and diabetic rats. Results were correlated with the glycosylated haemoglobin values. The non-enzymatic glycosylation of collagen increased in diabetics and showed a weak correlation with glycosylated haemoglobin (r = 0.735). Our findings showed that acute short-term diabetes can also cause an increase in non-enzymatic glycosylation of collagen and haemoglobin.
