During the winter season of 2021-2022 at Giza Agricultural Research Station, ARC, Egypt, a field factorial experiment on wheat was conducted to identify the growth stages affected by irrigation water scheduling and silicate application. In addition to an untreated control, wheat plants were subjected to six irrigation regimes paired with three rates of foliar nano and ordinary silicate. Plants sprayed with either ordinary or nano-silicate produced more grain than untreated plants. This fact has been proven to be true for all irrigation water treatments. Regardless of silicate source or dose, the grand mean grain yield of silicate-treated plants was enhanced by roughly 24.7, 29.6, 30.3, 20.1, 19.2 and 28.1% over the untreated plants for I 0 , I 1 , I 2 , I 3 , I 4 , I 5 , and I6 i.e. withholding irrigation at none, tillering , flowering , milk and dough stage , respectively . The irrigation treatments I 2 , I 1 , and I 6 produced the greatest increase in grain. Regarding silicate dose and fraction, spraying nano-silicate at D3 (6mLSiL -1 ) yielded the highest grain output. Plants treated with K silicate produced grain yields ranging from 6.116 Mg ha -1 obtained by S 1 D 1 I 1 to 8.615 Mg ha -1 obtained by S 2 D 3 I 0 , showing relative increases of around 3.6 to 45.9%, 18.9%, and 32.9%, respectively, over the same non-Si treatments. To achieve the highest values of nutrient uptake and yield, wheat plants should be treated with 6 mLSiL -1 nano silica while withholding irrigation. According to, employing nano silica can boost wheat grain production in arid regions and can be utilized as a beneficial fertilizer for foliar application.

This work aims to produce, identify, and characterize the bioactive surfactant from Enterococcus faecium NM113, previously isolated as probiotic from the feces of breast-fed infants according to its immunomodulatory properties. The yield of the biosurfactant (BS) production was as 0.2 g L -1 . Functional and structural characterizations of the produced biosurfactant were achieved by TLC followed by post chromatographic detection. Silica plate or replica plate was sprayed with anthrone produced gives a yellow spot indicated the presence of sugar moieties. Lipopeptide residues were detected while stained with Ninhydrin reagent. According to FTIR spectrum obtained, the extracted BS is composed of carbohydrates and lipid. The hydrophobic chain of the BS is composed of lipid and hydrophilic part is mainly composed of sugar. Furthermore, Identification of BS features was done by 1 H NMR and 13 C NMR and confirmed as glycolipid. The evaluation of the antimicrobial activity of BS produced from E. faecium NM113 was done against five pathogens. The biosurfactants have a great opportunity to be novel agents to compete the antimicrobial-resistance microorganisms

Two field experiments were conducted at the Experiment and Research Center, Fac. Agric., Moshtohor, Benha Univ., Qalubia Governorate, Egypt, in the summer seasons 2021 and 2022 to study the performance of seven genotypes of rice under three levels of nano-N spraying on growth, yield and its attributes. The most important results obtained from this study can be summarized as follows: The results of the study revealed that the maximum highest No. tillers plant -1 (23.26 tiller), No. spikes plant -1 (19.98 panicle), panicle length (25.41 cm), panicle weight (4.39 g), 1000-grain weight (29.11 g) and grain yield plant -1 (59.48 g) obtained by spraying with 800 ml fed -1 concentration treatment, while, spraying with zero and 400 ml fed -1 concentration treatments were decreased No. days to 50% flowering in the combined analyses. The main objective of this work focused on choosing the most suitable conditions to leachuranium out from its mineral oresin G. Gattar Area, Northern Eastern Desert, Egypt. A sequence of primary experiments was conducted to select the most effective conditions for U extraction. The results showed that these conditions were usage of sulfuric acid at a concentration of 6molar, pH value of 2, contact time of 60 minutes, temperature of 100 ֩ C. Aspergillus clavatus fungi were tried as a new bio-sorbent of uranium ions. The appropriate factors to achieve the highest sorption efficiency of U by these fungi were studied and found to be 1 hour contact at pH 4, centrifugation speed of 300 rpm, and temperature of100 ֩ C.The aforementioned indicate that the combination between leaching uranium by sulfuric acid and its bio-sorption by Aspergillus clavatus can be considered as a promising technique for removal or ,at least, reduction of uranium concentration in uranium-contaminated regions such as G, Gattar ,Northern Eastern Desert, Egypt.

In this study, a medium scale biogas digester has been operated to treat the cattle manure of 50 animals producing about 1000 kg of manure per day. The volume of digester is 200 m 3 and was designed to produce biogas for a 50 kWh/day electric generator and 28 day the hydraulic retention time (HRT) with daily feeding rate 6 m 3 of substrate. From the evaluation results, the daily feeding rate is 5 m 3 and HRT of 40 day. The biogas yield reached 11.51 m 3 /day and the CH 4 and CO 2 concentration ranged from 37 % to 61 % and from 13.3 % to 37.8 %, respectively. On the other hand, a reduction in the organic contents of substrates is explored because of the anaerobic digestion process. These contents are volatile fatty acids (VFAS), carbon to nitrogen ratio (C/N), volatile solids (VS), and chemical oxygen demand (COD), where the maximum reduction percentages of VFAS, C/N ratio, VS, and COD are 78.2 %, 76.7 %, 76.5 %, and 87.0 %, respectively. Furthermore, the concentration of total nitrogen (TN), total phosphorus (TP), total potassium (TK), NO 3 -N, and NH 4 +N achieved an increase in the digestate compared with their corresponding values in substrates, especially TP and TK. From the evaluation results, we can put and illustrate some important issues that may increase the biogas digester efficiency; (1) the biogas purification unit should be fixed and operated to reduce the CO 2 , H 2 S and O 2 contents, (2) The substrate pH, and total solid should be more controllable, (3) The digestates should be treated before use for further benefits and more stable with environment, and (4) a periodically maintenance plan should be followed for improving biogas production and increase the life time of the digester components.
