[Cellular immunity and enzyme activity of xenobiotic metabolism in the lymphocytes of normal minipigs and in alcohol and anabol exposures]. [正常小型猪淋巴细胞的细胞免疫和外源代谢酶活性以及酒精和合成代谢暴露]。

Immunological indices and activity of xenobiotic metabolism enzymes in lymphocytes were studied on minipigs under normal conditions, under conditions of chronic alcoholic intoxication and after administration of anabol (an immunomodulator) to normal healthy animals and to animals with alcohol intoxication. Age-related differences with respect to the number of T-lymphocytes and activity of lymphocyte glutathione S-transferase were observed in the normal animals, the other indices such as activity of natural killer cells, K-cells, blast cell transformation with concanavalin A and activity of cytochrome c-reductase being independent of the age. Administration of anabol to healthy animals did not alter their immunoenzymatic status. Chronic alcohol intoxication was accompanied by development of secondary immune deficiency characterized by lower immunological indices and lower activity of xenobiotic metabolism enzymes in lymphocytes. Daily exposure to 0.8 g of anabol for 12 days at this background resulted in normalization of the above indices.

[Low-molecular immunomodulators of natural origin]. 天然来源的低分子免疫调节剂。

It was shown that low molecular peptides Nos. 1 and 2 produced by soil bacteria had a pronounced immunostimulating effect. When the preparations were administered at various periods with respect to immunization the number of AFC in the spleen of immunized animals increased 2-4 times. Preparation No. 2 in a dose of 0.5-25 mg/kg increased delayed type hypersensitivity and hemagglutinin levels in blood serum. The maximum effect was observed when the preparation was administered 24 or 48 hours after immunization. The ability to stimulate immunological processes in animals may probably be attributed to the fact that preparations Nos. 1 and 2 are efficient against carcinoma 755 and not toxic in vitro.

[Antibiotic properties of cultures of the Streptomyces coelicolor group that suppress the growth of strains of the same species]. [抑制同种菌株生长的彩色链霉菌群培养物的抗生素特性]。

Antimicrobial spectrum of 45 cultures of the S. coelicolor group with respect to closely related strains and other streptomycete species was studied. The spectrum of 7 cultures was narrow and they inhibited closely related strains and certain streptomycete species. These cultures produced antibiotic substances of bacteriocin-like nature. The bacteriocin-like substances of the cultures differed in sensitivity to temperature and proteolytic enzymes and capacity for dialysis through cellophane membranes. Biosynthesis of the antibiotic substances increased after exposure to UV light.

[Biopharmaceutical aspects of the medicinal forms of cephalexin]. [头孢氨苄药用形式的生物制药方面]。

The rate of cephalexin release from various dosage forms such as tablets, capsules and suspensions manufactured by several firms was studied. In vivo studies showed that pharmacokinetic indices of the absorption depended on the rate of cephalexin release from the dosage forms. The proposed procedure for in vitro estimation of the cephalexin release rate reflects bioavailability of the antibiotic dosage forms and may be used in quality control of finished dosage forms.

[Anaerobic microflora of patients with suppurative and septic complications after non-hospital abortions]. 非医院流产后化脓性和败血性并发症患者的厌氧菌群。

Microflora of pathological biosubstrates from 25 patients aged from 18 to 41 years with criminal abortion complications such as sepsis, septic shock, septicemia, and septic pyemia, peritonitis and endometritis of various severity was studied. Obligate anaerobic organisms in association with facultative anaerobes were detected in 84 per cent of the patients. Bacteroids were isolated from operation materials of 36 per cent of the patients. Bacteroids in association with Staphylococcus aureus, peptostreptococci and enterococci were recorded in 16, 8 and 24 per cent of the patients, respectively. Composition of the anaerobic and facultative anaerobic microflora was analyzed in the patients with local and general infections. Antibiotic sensitivity assay of the bacteroids showed that rifampicin, metronidazole, levomycetin (chloramphenicol) and clindamycin were the most active drugs. The use of anaerobic techniques enabled to demonstrate that in patients with purulent septic complications of criminal abortion there prevailed anaerobic-aerobic associations. The results should be considered in treatment of gynecological patients with purulent septic infections.

Certain catalytic and immunological properties of L-asparaginase modified by polyglucin were studied. It was shown that the modified forms of L-asparaginase maintained high catalytic activity (Km 0.80.10(-5)-1.89.10(-5) M) and at the same time appeared to be more resistant to inactivation under the effect of antibodies.

[The treatment of wastes from antibiotic manufacture by using pyrolusite]. [利用软锰矿处理抗生素生产中产生的废物]。

Data on laboratory studies with real liquid sewage from antibiotic manufacture are presented. Two schemes are discussed: treatment of the sewage in an electrolysis plant followed by its afterpurification either in a column with pyrolusite or during a joint process of electrochemical purification with catalyst location on the plant bottom under the electrodes. The afterpurification of electrochemically treated liquid sewage on waste pyrolusite can provide and additional effect i.e. lower consumption of oxygen and decoloration at average by 15 and 25 per cent respectively.

[Kafamycin--a new pyrrol ether antibiotic]. [卡帕霉素——一种新的吡咯醚抗生素]。

Cafamycin is a novel polyether antibiotic active against gram-positive bacteria. It was isolated from the culture fluid of Streptomyces sp., an organism producing the anthracycline antibiotic galtamycin. The structure of cafamycin was assessed by spectral analysis: UV, PMR, mass spectroscopy and CD. Physico-chemical and biological properties of the antibiotic are described. Cafamycin was shown to be an analog of indanomycin (X-14547A), a pyrrol ether antibiotic.

The structure of cafamycin was assessed by spectral analysis: UV, PMR, mass spectroscopy and CD. Physico-chemical and biological properties of the antibiotic are described.
