[The "Limophōros": Polybius III, 87, 2]. [“Limophōros”：Polybius III，87，2]。

The word "limophōros", a hapax legomenon appearing in Polybius' Histories, does not mean scurvy, but rather scabies. Polybius created the word to describe an illness he believed was derived from a nutritional deficit, but can really only be seen as an attempt to describe an illness the etiology of which he was wholly unfamiliar.

[Wine and women: an overlooked passage in the Hippocratic corpus]. [酒和女人:希波克拉底语料库中被忽视的一段]。

A passage taken from the Hippocratic Corpus states that at the beginning of pregnancy women say that they do not like the taste of wine. This passage should be added to evidence about wine drinking by women in Classical Greece. It shows that, contrary to previous opinion, women drank wine when they were in good health and corresponds with the notion that it was often prescribed by physicians in order to cure illness.

希波克拉底语料库中的一段话说，怀孕初期的妇女说她们不喜欢酒的味道。这段话应该添加到古典希腊妇女饮酒的证据中。它表明，与以往的看法相反，妇女在身体健康时喝酒，这与医生经常开处方治病的观念相一致。

D'Homere au debut de l'epoque hellenistique, hyakinthos correspond a des plantes determinees, la jacinthe d'Orient, introduite de bonne heure en Grece, et la scille a deux feuilles. C'est ensuite essentiellement le nom de fleurs rappelant par leur forme (jacinthe) ou par leurs taches colorees (glaieul des moissons et pied-d'alouette) le nom de heros morts prematurement (Hyacinthe, Ajax), et enfin celui d'une fleur de deuil sans identite precise. Dans le mythe d'Hyacinthe, la plante symbolise globalement la vegetation printaniere, tot developpee et tot detruite par l'action du soleil.
