Employees are considered as the most valuable assets of an organization. Employee turnover is an important factor in all organization including the institutions. Replacing employees can affect an institution’s productivity, expenses, and overall performance. Turnover is the process through which staff leaves a business or organization and that business or organization replaces them. The objective of the study is to determine the turnover intention of the teaching and non-teaching personnel in private institutions. It aims to answer specific objectives such as the profile of the respondents, the turnover intention of the personnel, the difference between the level of the intention of academic and non-academic personnel. In this study, the researchers will be used the quantitative study. The questionnaire was used as a data-gathering instrument, to determine the turnover intentions of the personnel. The descriptive survey method will be used to gather the data and to know the status to help to address effectively the research objectives. Based on the result of the study, most of the non-teaching personnel have lower turnover intentions compared to the teaching personnel of the private institutions. The result also shows that the teaching personnel has higher turnover intentions than non-academic employees. It is recommended that human resource management and the top management of the private institution should develop an intervention in order to maintain the manpower in the organization.

This paper used the descriptive and inferential quantitative method in investigating the relationship of the professional profile of the teachers of Surigao del Sur State University (SDSSU) with their level of propensity on the five classic teaching styles introduced by Anthony Grasha (1994, 2002) namely: (a) expert; (b) authority; (c) personal; (d) facilitator; and, (e) delegator. A bout 82 college teachers were the respondents of this study. The data revealed that the teachers have a high level of the propensity for the five classic styles. Meaning, they have the inclination to be using different teaching styles in their classes. The overall results disclosed that there is a significant relationship between the respondents’ educational attainment, teaching length of service, the field of specialization and attendance at seminars and training with respect to their teaching styles. Only the authority and delegator teaching styles yield no significant relationship with the most of the professional profile variables.

The Department of Education embrace technology as the kto12 implementation arrived. The agency also devised a computerization program for all public schools as part of the program. The purpose of this needs assessment is in order to determine the level of competency of primary and secondary school teachers in Lingayen, Pangasinan as a basis for an extension program. Advanced training in installing computer systems and networks, diagnose and troubleshoot computer system, configure computer systems and networks and maintain computer systems and networks which are the four core competency of TESDA’s NC2 Computer Systems Servicing Course will be an extension program if there is a need for training. Based on the result of the study, the majority of the ICT coordinator of the primary and secondary schools are competent and expert in the field of Computer Systems Servicing, because high school ICT coordinators are the holder of National Certificate Level 2 in the field of computer systems servicing. Initially this study is a basis of a proposed training program, but due to the positive result, this paper also investigate the contribution of TESDA in the Department of Education. It is concluded that teachers holding computer laboratory are able to sustain the need if the problems arise. It is recommended that no training needed for the teachers.

This paper examines the initial study on teachers perception on the usability of computer-aided reading and pronunciation practice system and system development for elementary level in a rural area. The sample of this study consists of twelve (12) teacher, who teaches in an elementary level in the southern part of Antique, Philippines. The usability and user satisfaction questionnaire, which was adapted from Post-Study System Usability Questionnaire (PSSUQ), divided into seven categories namely design/layout, functionality, ease of use, learnability, satisfaction, outcome/future use and errors/system reliability was utilized. Prototyping model was used in the development of the system. The internal consistency of the subscale was tested using Cronbach’s and the results are satisfactory.

Poverty has been an issue of extreme vetting since the dawn of humanity and is currently battering the Muslim World severely with stats indicating that Muslims are only 23% of world’s population but have a share of 50% in global poverty. This is quite baffling and perplexing fact as Muslims have been bestowed with an economic system designed by Almighty ALLAH which surely is good enough to eradicate poverty but improper implementation has hurt Muslim World direly. Zakat is an essential component of Islamic Economic System which bounds rich people to transfer 2.5% of their wealth to poor people of society and through proper implementation of Zakat system poverty got completely eradicated during era of Hazrat Umer e Farooq (R.A.). Zakat system has been subject to several modifications as a result of prolonged western domination and rise of secularist views, recent studies have suggested several models of zakat implementation that can rejuvenate the past success but have failed to do so, due to lack of clear path and refusal to build a zakat system on the basis of fundamental principles taught by Holy Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) considering them obsolete. This study intends to systematically identify the root causes behind the faltering performance of zakat system and try to eliminate them by designing a system that is based upon the fundamental principles as guided by Holy Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) as well as in line with current economic dynamics. Another important objective of this study is to have a uniform zakat system throughout the Muslim World so that real benefits of zakat can be enjoyed and whole Muslim World may prosper.

In this present study, an attempt has been made to find out the career aspirations of girl students studying in the girls’ colleges of Upper Assam in relation to their socio-economic background. The data required for the study have been collected from the higher secondary first-year students of the girls’ colleges of Upper Assam. The respondents have been interviewed with the help of an interview schedule in order to collect the required information. In this study, both primary and secondary sources of data have been utilized. The findings of the study reveal that on the basis of their different socio-economic backgrounds, the career aspirations of the respondents also differ. Factors like caste, religion, place of origin, etc. also significant impact in this regard. Key words: Career, Career Aspiration, Socio-economic background, girl students, etc.

3-nitrosalicylaldehyde thiosemicarbazone (3-NSTS) is proposed as a new photometric reagent for the extractive spectrophotometric determination of Cu (II). (3-NSTS) reacts with Cu (II) and form a stable coloured complex in the pH range 4.2 to 5.2. This was well extracted in n-butanol. The absorption spectrum of Cu (II) (3-NSTS) complex in n-butanol shows maximum absorbance at 420 nm. The system obeyed Beer’s law up to 2-8 µg / cm 3 . The molar extinction coefficient was found to be 1.9841 x 10 3 lit mol -1 cm -1 and the sensitivity of the method as defined by Sandell’s sensitivity was 3.2 x 10 -2 μg/cm 2 . The composition of the extracted species was determined by Job’s Continuous variation method, Mole ratio method and slope ratio method and it was found to be 1:1. The proposed reagent is satisfactorily applied for the determination of trace amount of Cu (II) from industrial waste water as well as synthetic and commercial samples.

It is widely believed that a truly “whole” person is one who’s intellectual and emotional responses are normally developed; yet, our patterns in education tend to stress the intellectual and ignore the emotional. The arts, because of their emotional demands, make for a stronger bond between persons who can share in the art experience. This is especially so of music which has long been termed the universal tongue. It is a form of communication in which every human being can participate. Many studies have shown that it is not by accident that we find minimal behavior problems amongst the students who are involved with music study. It is now believed that the child who becomes involved in expressing himself/herself through the media of music takes in new dimensions in his or her psychological, behavioral and sociological relationships. In this paper, we shall draw upon the experiences of music educationists from various countries, and as a consequence, it is reaffirmed that for a holistic and balanced development of students’ personalities music study should be mandatory in school curriculum.
