Anti-competitive agreements are a form of collaboration between companies, aiming to reduce existing competitive pressures on the market that lead economic operators to innovate and improve their offers in terms of asking price and quality of offered goods and services that result in harming the consumers’ interests. This practice can take various forms and effects as alliances, anti-competitive arrangements, monopolistic agreements, cartel, and others. The paper contains an analysis of the forms of anti-competitive agreements, their impact on the market relations and the form of their regulation. The article 101 TFEU contains the main regulation providing for the interdiction and sanctioning of anti-competitive agreements at the European level.

This article examines the effects of remittances on the economic growth of the Republic of Moldova, determined by private consumption. To verify the link between remittances and development in the Republic of Moldova, the study uses a VECM approach. The result of the research is that, for the Republic of Moldova, remittances are an important source for private consumption, which in turn fuels the economic evolution of the country. In order to redirect remittances to investments, the government is implementing various strategies, which do not yet have the expected support of remittance holders.

This paper presents the transfer prices in the context of an enhanced and intensified control of the tax authorities, analyzing them both from an economic and fiscal perspective. Theoretically speaking, the economic approach is different from the fiscal one. There are arguments sustaining the disconnection between the economic and fiscal aspects of the transfer prices. We assist at a stronger regulation associated to the fiscal point of view and at an improvement of the resulted finance taxation. Realizing a detailed and deep documentation of the existing scientific literature in this field, processing and interpreting statistical data and using a comparative data analysis, this study arrives at the conclusion that transfer prices should be considered by taking into account all the economic, taxation and custom implications. Only such a complete and integrated approach may offer safety to companies when they are confronted with custom or fiscal inspections.

The paper analyses the Romanians’ attitude regarding the impact of cell phones on human health and on the environment. We conclude how dependent Romanians’ are on mobile phones, they willing to buy the latest technical innovations, very few being those who prefer classic phones. It is surprising that in a civilized society there are still consumers who throw used mobile phones in the trash, without being aware of the danger of this gesture on the environment. It is needed the involvement of the government and of various civic organizations to increase the education level of the population, to have a more sustainable environmental behavior.

Tourism is a complex economic and social phenomenon, that has an impact on several sectors, such as culture, education and the national economy. Travel restrictions implemented in all countries of the world due to the Covid-19 pandemic have made the tourism industry one of the most affected since the very start of the virus spread. Therefore, in 2020 there was a 73% decrease in the number of tourists, representing a loss of 1.3 trillion dollars recorded by the tourism industry. In this context, the paper aims to analyse the impact of Covid-19 pandemic on the tourism industry, as well as the measures adopted to mitigate the effects of the virus on this economic sector.

This study discusses the quality of online communication services from the perspective of public administration. Earlier studies show that provision of electronic services has been highly successful in the public sector, where tasks generally have a lower degree of complexity. Most public administration bodies have been committed to providing high quality customer-oriented e-services. Now, the quality in public administration services is highly demanded by citizens, and mainly by users of online communication services, which requires transparency, efficiency and efficacy of these services.

Environmental challenges are increasing the pressure on governments to find ways to reduce environmental damage. In Romania, all these challenges are faced by managing the Environment Fund and by using public expenditures for environmental protection as a key tool. The present paper presents a brief analysis of some on-going programs funded by Romanian public authorities in 2020. Specifically, the paper presents how public money is used to make waste management more efficient, to expand the national water and sewerage network, but also to improve the environmental knowledge of the population.

The need to strengthen control/audit on the field of public procurement was imposed after the enactment in 2016 of the new legislative package on the field. Starting from the legislation in the field of public procurement, from the practice in the field and the current economic context, this paper presents the procedures for assessing fraud, as well as concrete examples of indications of fraud specific to the field of public procurement. Some examples of indications of fraud identified and presented in the paper refer to: the possibility of taking bribes for the award of certain contracts, links between the persons involved in the award procedures and members of their families, disclosure of certain information concerning the offer, coercion/exclusion, dubious evaluation of bidders, procurement procedures in complicity.

The economic theories are considered desideratum in identifying the main problems of ensuring fiscal sustainability. The present study is a theoretical one and its purpose is to make an in-depth analysis of the economic theories that were imposed in determining the instruments for applying fiscal policies, focusing in particular on the implications brought by government expenditures. Thus, results revealed that the economic theories will remain only a foundation in the application of fiscal policies, and the most important aspect regarding the identification of the economic reality is given by its in-depth study.
