Introduction: The 5S methodology is a quality improvement tool comprising five “S” components in successive steps: sort, simplify or set-in-order, sweep or shine, standardize, and selfâ?discipline or sustain. We utilized the 5S methodology as a quality improvement tool in medication storage at a primary health care centre in a remote community in Canada. Method: Unrequired items were cleaned out of the entire pharmacy room – sort. Medications were set- in-order by identifying their class and grouping them according to medication classes – simplify. Missing essential medicines were ordered and replaced - sweep or shine. According to the medication classes, the remaining (unmoved) essential medications were arranged on the drug cabinet – standardize Usage instructions were shared with all clinical staff via email - self-discipline. Results: The 5S methodology was impactful as the new medication storage method improved storage quality, limited medication spoilage and ensured appropriate tracking of medications’ expiration dates. Conclusion: Our intervention has employed the use of Lean methodologies toward the goal of quality improvement. This project illustrates how applying these principles offers opportunities for simplification, efficiency, and substantial waste reduction in remote health care settings.

Conducive work environment is one of the fundamental elements of work effectiveness. Therefore, the study aimed to explore the relation among employs job satisfactions and turnover intentions on academic staff employees of Woldia University. A total of 206 (male=187 and female=19) academic staff employees were taken by stratified sampling from the university and the researcher also used semistructured interview by selecting long experienced participants purposively to cross check the quantitative result by following qualitative approaches . Using pilot tested standardized scales data were collected. After cleaning the data, analysis were conducted using t-test, one way ANOVA along with descriptive statistical techniques. Results of the study disclosed, the workers job satisfaction has statistically negative correlation (r=-.366, p<0.05. According to the results, there is no statistically difference (t (204) = 9.89979,p<0.05) in the reported levels of turnover intention among male and female academic employees. In the study the finding show that there were no statistically significant difference (t (204) =-1.010, p<0.05)in the reported levels of turnover intention between ages of academic employees. Finding disclosed that there is significance difference in the levels of turnover intention by educational levels. Large scale investigation is recommended for the University to give emphasis in designing long term institutional strategies in order to create work stability.

Objective: Influenza is a preventable communicable illness that has a significant impact on people of all ages. In 2018 it was estimated that 80,000 people died of influenza-related illnesses. Infants and elderly people are among the most vulnerable populations. In the 2018-2019 flu season, only 34.9% of individuals in these age groups received the influenza vaccine [1]. Studies indicate that 7.52 million illnesses, 105,000 hospitalizations, and 6,300 deaths due to influenza were avoided by the vaccine, during the 2019-2020 season [2]. However, national vaccination coverage is consistently lower than 50 percent in adults, despite the widespread availability of multiple influenza vaccines [3,4]. Moreover, a new study by the National Infectious Diseases Foundation showed that over 40% of U.S. Adults do not plan to get the flu shot during the 2020- 2021 season [5]. Vaccine hesitancy is linked, along with safety issues, to public perceptions of low efficacy [6]. During the 2019-2020 influenza season, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reported that 38 million infections, 405,000 hospitalizations, and 22,000 deaths were associated with influenza. Older adults ≥65 years, alone, accounted for 43% of hospitalizations and 62% of deaths [2]. More recently the COVID-19 virus has quickly become a major global threat infecting more than 92 million people worldwide and causing almost 2 million deaths [7]. Facing these facts, and as an effective COVID-19 vaccine is unlikely to be widely implemented until mid or late 2021, the CDC stressed on the importance to be vaccinated for seasonal influenza and prioritized the health care workers and older adults, to help reduce the strain on healthcare systems responding to the COVID-19 pandemic. Two newly experimented COVID-19 vaccines were just proven to be more than 90% effective [8,9]. Compared to influenza, the severity of COVID-19 infection indicates that the public health benefit of corona virus vaccination may be much greater. However, despite the need of an urgent vaccine, many people seem to be hesitant about receiving it because of the perceived rush in development and the undisclosed demographics of the trial subjects, mainly elderly and people with co-morbidities. Surveys of 493 and 2200 individuals showed that only 30% would agree to be vaccinated against COVID-19 after availability [10]. In order to align with these efforts, the WHO had developed a detailed framework for vaccine distribution and prioritization to ensure equity and safety [11]. However, it remains unclear if vaccine resistance can be surpassed by the unexpected and drastic effects of COVID-19 in the United States. More specifically, this season, the decision of getting the flu shot might be affected by the coexistence of COVID 19 virus. Therefore, it is necessary to foresee and minimize obstacles to COVID-19 and flu vaccines widesprea

The aim of the interrelationships among opportunity, personality type and environmental factors in preparatory school students career choice in the case of North Wollo Zone. The sample consists of 214 males and 206 females. A questionnaire designed on the basis of likert-type scale on the factors determining the choice of career based on environment, personality influence and opportunity of the students was administered. Their responses were analyzed using frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation and T-test at p.05. No significant difference was found on the environmental factor (tcal at 05=0.8593, tcrit=1.960), However, the significant difference was found on the personality (tcal at p.05=0.0001; tcrit1.960) and the significant difference of the opportunity the students see(tcal at p.05=0.000; tcrit1.960). The percentage on male and female was also carried out. 58.4% of male and 69.9% of female agreed that opportunity do affect career while 41.6% and 30.1% disagreed for both male & female respectively, 59.4% of male and 72.8 of female agreed that personality do affect career choice while 40.7% and 27.2% of both male and female disagreed, 64% of male and 67% of female agreed that environment do affect career choice but 36% and 33% of male& female does not agree. Conclusively, all the factors affect the students in determining their career.

After cleaning the data, analysis was conducted using Pearson correlation and Multiple Regressions along with descriptive statistical techniques. Results: Workers commitment has been found to have statistically significant negative association with turnover intentions (r=-.516, p<0.05). Moreover, organizational commitment has better predictive power to level of turnover intention among academic staff employees. The interview result also shows that the overall commitment of academic staff was normative rather than affective and Continuance level of commitment and high level of turnover intentions.
