: The use of a venoclysis in hospitalized pediatric patients is a necessity, a procedure perceived by children as painful, so that distraction techniques have been suggested to attenuate this suffering. Evaluating the implementation of a distraction method with an uncontrolled trial with pre and post maneuver evaluation without control group.

The Internet of Things (IoT) created opportunities for enhancing human lives. A recent undergraduate nursing disaster simulation experience prompted a thought as to whether IoT technologies could further enhance the educational experience of undergraduate nursing students in future disaster simulations.

In an exploratory quantitative study, information literacy was analyzed in first-year students of the nursing program at the Facultad de Estudios superiores Zaragoza UNAM. A sample of 150 students completed, a validated scale that consisted of 8 categories and a total of 110 items. The average score obtained was 2.11, which places them in a 'low knowledge' category of information literacy.

(ICT) is a vehicle to enhance the quality of the education. As the world is moving rapidly into digital media and information, the role of ICT in education is becoming more important in the 21st century. ICT helps to share availability of best practices and best course material in education. ICT based education causes changes in the educational objectives in the conception of the teaching and learning process. ICT allows the academic Institutions to reach disadvantaged groups and new international educational markets. Within the past decade, the new ICT tools have fundamentally produced significant transformations in industry, agriculture, medicine, business, engineering and other fields. The new teaching methodologies involve the use of audiovisual, computer and telematic tools on the part of lecturers.

Infectious diseases have been re-emerging in developed and underdeveloped countries. In Brazil, the increasing incidence of communicable diseases is ongoing. This new reality generates the need to update the professionals of the sector, in order to make them capable of dealing with such important problem of public health. Educational actions through the usage of the learning objects can contribute to a review and an adoption of effective and safer public health practices. Thus, this scenario leads to the proposal to disseminate knowledge based on the development of learning objects concerning surveillance and prevention of communicable diseases to primary care providers, specifically community health agents. Learning Objects are interactive tools based on web which support specific learning conceptions enhancing, expanding and guiding the learners cognitive process, and when they are combined with other objects may create an efficient and flexible learning environment.
