Background: Road traffic crashes pose a significant risk to public safety and health, leading to around 1.3 million fatalities and causing disabilities annually. Yet, there is a paucity of data on emergency response in Nigeria. This study aimed at assessing the awareness and utilization of emergency response service to road traffic crashes among the Nigerian populace.

Background: During the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, nurses struggle to balance emotional and psychological well-being with their professional duties and the risk of contracting COVID-19, this situation requires nurses to use coping strategies in. The objective of this review was to explore and describe the psychological impact that occurs on nurses and the types of coping strategies used by nurses in dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic.

Background: Anxiety of pregnant women has increased during the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic so that it can affect their quality of life. Anxiety that cannot be overcome will result in stress and depression. The aim of this study was to determine the factors related to the behavior of reducing anxiety in pregnant women during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Background and Objective: While the most notable impacts of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic have arguably been felt in the healthcare industry, there have been repercussions across virtually every vertical, including animal agriculture. Disruptions caused by the pandemic, including those related to regulatory responses, led to significant shortages in animal protein. Industry professionals are exploring environmental disinfection technologies that can reduce the presence of pathogens in food production plants. A fundamental point of differentiation among the options is their ability to be operated continuously in occupied settings, such as livestock/poultry production facilities. This review examines Dry Hydrogen Peroxide (DHP), a continuously operating technology, and its efficacy against pathogens in the context of suitability for optimizing food safety and processing in animal agriculture.

Background and Objective: The human microbiome is recognized as essential for the maintenance of human health, but research suggests that chemical and biological [e.g., viruses, such as severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus-2 (SARS-CoV-2)] exposures can elicit perturbations in the human microbiome communities. As demonstrated with the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, the occupational environment impacts worker health in numerous ways, one of which may be through changes to the worker microbiome. Particularly, the agricultural environment presents both chemical and biological hazards (i.e., workplace environmental microbiome or envirobiome) that may affect the worker microbiome and ultimately worker health. The state of the science regarding the potential for the agricultural environment to impact worker microbiomes is presented herein.
