The aim of biometrics is to identify humans from their personal traits more efficiently using devices, algorithms and procedures for applications that require security and authentication. Multispectral image analysis has gained importance due to its potential for accurate and faster recognition performance. In this paper, Multispectral palmprint biometric system is proposed which uses the fusion of both MS and visible image to acquire more discriminative palm print information. The proposed system collects palm print images in visible and NIR bands. PCA based Fusion algorithm has been used to obtain more informative palmprint. First, Region of Interest (ROI) is extracted from the acquired palm print images. Then, features are extracted using phase congruency, histogram of gradient, Gabor filter and adaptive thresholding based algorithms. Simple distortion based measures are used for recognition. The proposed system is tested on a palmprint data collected using 080GE multispectral camera. Simulation results show high recognition performance using Gabor features obtained by fusion of visible and NIR palm print image.

The Internet Protocol Version 6 was designed to efficiently improve on the existing functionalities of Internet Protocol Version 4 and to introduce new constructs that it lacks. Though IPv6 is not an extension of IPv4, as the two protocols have different specifications. Both the new and the formal protocol use multicast routing for many of their operations; this implies multicast routing is core in the protocols. This experiment became imperative especially in this era everyone is looking forward to using IPv6 as the default network. This paper tested the performance of IPv6 multicast routing over a virtual local area network. Graphical Network Simulator 3 was used to configure the network and Microsoft Hyper-V was used as the hypervisor on which the six virtual machines (hosts) reside. Parameters such as throughput, latency variations, data loss and the network over heads were examined. The experiment has shown that, IPv6 multicast routing over a virtual network has 100% throughput, the jitter (variations in latency) varies among the hosts in all the running scenarios, but low and stabled jitters were noticed as the running duration increases and the number of streaming increase from one multicast stream to running two multicast streams simultaneously. There was no data loss.

A common term heart disease is nothing but a cardiovascular disease or a Coronary heart disease which reduces the efficiency and proper functioning of heart by blocking veins, artery or blood vessels around it. Coronary heart disease causes disability such as damage to the brain resulting in death. Based on Statistics [10] it indicates that range of age group from 25 to 69 have 25% risk of having heart diseases. Some vital causes for cardiovascular disease are, physical inactivity, smoking, consuming more junk food and addiction of alcohol which are major causes for stroke, chest pain, and heart attack. However because of the awareness about factors and symptoms that are responsible for heart problem, it is possible to predict any heart problem based on statistical analysis of medical records. However Data mining, a modern technique has provided an automatic way of analyzing data using standard classification methods. Though many classifiers are available in data mining that can be used to predict the heart problems, this paper emphasizes on finding the appropriate classifier that has the potential to give better accuracy by applying data mining techniques viz. Naive Bayes , Support Vector machine and Logistic Regression.

Reverberation chambers are cost-effective tools for evaluating Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) Over-The-Air (OTA) communication devices performance in both indoor and outdoor urban channel models. Their performance is typically assessed by using several figures-of-merit (FOM), such as MIMO Capacity, which evaluates the amount of information that can be reliably transmitted over a communications channel. Nevertheless, scarce publications about the effect of the environment characteristics, such as delay spread, on this figure-of-merit can be found in the literature. In this contribution, we analyze the dependence of MIMO Capacity on channel delay spread, by means of a multi-antenna OTA communication system using a QPSK modulation. For that purpose, channel RMS delay spread has been varied inside the reverberation chamber loading it with different quantities of absorbing material.

In this paper genetic algorithm based energy efficient data gathering approach is proposed to maximize the network lifetime in terms of rounds. The proposed approach has two phases, namely a setup phase and steady state phase. In the setup phase, the cluster formation is done based on the query sent by the base station in a dynamic fashion. The nodes, which satisfy the query are only allowed to participate in the clustering process others go to the sleep mode immediately. In which relay nodes are used as routing element, it collects the aggregated information from the cluster head and transmits to the base station via other relay node in a multihop fashion. It balances the network load among the relay nodes. It also reduces the packet loss because of data traffic. From the simulation results, we show that the proposed approach outperforms than the existing protocol in terms of increased network lifetime and decreased energy consumption.

In this study a back-propagation neural network model is designed and its parameters are optimized for prediction of horoscope to identify a person type. Person type is a dynamic system based on the planet system. It is found that the backpropagation neural network is capable to predict the person type by learning planet dataset. The model is trained up to model error (i.e., mean square error) 1.2864E-04 and performs excellent during training and testing process.

The number of defects has often been considered a vital indicator of quality of software. It is well known that we cannot go back and add quality. Software Quality and reliability are considered to be one of the most important concerns of software product. In this paper, we give a brief overview of an Aspect-Oriented Programming (AOP) and a model is proposed to predict defects. The model is empirically validated on the PROMISE Software Engineering Repository dataset with three different types of methods. One is Fuzzy CMeans Clustering (FCM) approach and another is K-Nearest Neighbors (KNN) classifier technique, have been performed in real data. Third is a hybrid approach (i.e. combination of fuzzy c-means and genetic algorithms) have been performed. The performance of data is evaluated in terms of Reliability, Accuracy, Mean Absolute Error (MAE), and Root Mean Square Error (RMSE). General Terms AOP, AOSD

This study investigates the effects of pharmaceutical industry sewage on effluent chemical characteristics of surrounding surface water in Tehran. The study was conducted using two in vitro methods and a method of environmental assessment. In vitro assessment and spatial analysis were conducted on inlet and outlet sewage of six pharmaceutical companies in different regions of Tehran. The results showed surveyed companies often use anaerobic treatment process method that reduces the environmental pollution, especially the reduction of negative effects on surface water around them.
