Channel Ranking Based Joint Symbols Detection for MQRD-PCM/MIMO-OFDM 基于信道排序的MQRD-PCM/MIMO-OFDM联合符号检测

MIMO-OFDM is considered a key technology in emerging high-data rate systems. With MIMO techniques, the transmission quality deteriorates due to co-channel interference (CCI). Several signal detection schemes have been proposed to mitigate this problem. However, it is impractical to use the conventional methods without reducing theirs computational complexity. Previously, we have proposed a parallel detection algorithm using multiple QR decompositions with permuted channel matrix (MQRD-PCM) for MIMO-OFDM to reduce the system complexity. This method achieves a good BER performance with low system complexity. However, since MQRD-PCM is a kind of parallel detection method, the wrong detection probability is increased due to the bad channel SINR of the transmitted signals. As a result, the average BER performance is influenced by the wrong detection probability of the bad channel SINR. To overcome this problem, in this paper, we propose the channel ranking based joint symbols detection for MQRD-PCM/MIMO-OFDM.

Interference-Aware Channel Assignment with Seamless Multi-Channel Monitoring on Wireless Mesh Network 无线Mesh网络中无缝多通道监控的干扰感知信道分配

The wireless mesh networks (WMNs) are statically deployed on heterogeneous areas and are operating in open wireless media, and thus it coexists with other networks operating on the same frequency with the same or different radio access technology (RAT). The WMNs experience two types of interferences according to the source of interference. Coexisted networks with WMN induce the interference called external interference and nodes in WMN experience interference each other, which is called internal interference. The increased interferences can degrade the performance significantly. To resolve this coexistence problem, we propose three channel assignment schemes for hybrid multi-channel protocol (HMCP) by recognizing the states of each channel and selecting its operating channel.

Evaluation of QoS in internet accesses for multimedia applications (EQoSIM) 面向多媒体应用的互联网接入QoS评价

This paper presents a Java-based on-line Quality of Service (QoS) estimation system for Internet accesses specially aimed at real-time multimedia applications. The system is capable of estimating access capacity, available bandwidth and delay as the critical QoS parameters for this kind of applications, and to do it from the point of view of the final user. The algorithm selected for QoS estimations is one-way, and is based on the packet train technique. The system has been developed following the client-server model, where a central web server contains, among other things, the Java applet that implements the client side of the system, and has been validated using several commercial Internet accesses with different technologies: analog modem, Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Loop (ADSL), cable modem and Universal Mobile Telecommunications System (UMTS).

Personal home server: a software infrastructure for supporting spontaneous and personalized interaction in home computing environments 个人家庭服务器:用于支持家庭计算环境中自发和个性化交互的软件基础结构

In this paper, we propose a personal home sewer that makes it possible to coordinate a variety of home appliances. Since each person has a different personal home server, it allows him/her to personalize how to use the appliances according to his preferences. Also, a personal home server can discover and configure appliances at any places, such as railroad stations, cars, and streets as well as houses in a seamless way. We show the design and implementation of a personal home server, and present its current status.

From the TV to the VCR to the DVD, it has been the role of the consumer electronics industry to package sophisticated technology in a form that brings value and enjoyment to the mass of consumers. The next generations of consumer devices will be formed by the melding of the sophistication of network technology with the ease of use of today's consumer electronics. To create this new world of Networked Consumer Electronics, a whole host of technology problems need to be solved. In this talk, some of these problems are outlined, the state of art in solving them is discussed, and some specific requirements for future technological development are exposed.
