Alternate :Digital society is evolving from the surveillance society to the hypersurveillance society in three aspects. First, as the value of security has become more important than the value of freedom due to the COVID-19 pandemic, individuals tend to readily accept state surveillance rather than criticize it. Moreover, especially in Korean society, as social justice is in crisis, citizens are demanding more surveillance over people whose conduct endangers them. Secondly, as many surveillance devices and applications are embedded in smartphones, the number of "Small Brothers" watching other people is increasing rapidly, and, as a result, we live in a society where everyone can watch everyone else. Finally, with the tastes, interests, and behaviors of consumers all being digitalized and watched by digital companies that use this personal data to drive continuous consumption, we live under a form of surveillance capitalism.
