We aim to verify the effectiveness of microcurrents in pain, specifically in cervical pain. A total of 20 patients with acute or chronic neck pain have been treated in the out-patient clinic with microcurrent technology exclusively. Pain assessment was performed using the visual analogue scale (VAS) for self-assessment before and after the full treatment. The mean VAS before treatment was 65.45 and the average post-treatment was 21.90. Mean treatment duration was 3.5 weeks. The results of this study are consistent with the studies published in other countries on applications of microcurrents in this condition. There are few publications on applications of microcurrents. The benefits observed in the study with this technology are rapid functional recovery of the patient, no side effects or contraindications, ease of application and good feeling for the patient as well as a very good cost/benefit ratio. The set of observations supports carrying out more rigorous studies with this technology.

Multiple sclerosis in bud stage presents as an inflammatory process that requires steroid treatment. Few studies have been performed in which the patient is doing physical therapy during a disease outbreak. We report 2 cases of patients treated during the acute outbreak, in whom personalized physiotherapy techniques and physiotherapy concepts were applied. We have used using internationally recognized evaluation measures and obtained results of improvement in several parameters without detriment to any aspect of the clinical picture. This suggests that medical treatment and physiotherapy are complementary. Therefore, performing studies with a significant sample of the population affected by this disease would make it possible to verify if the intervention of physiotherapy during the outbreak could be beneficial in patient outcome.

Aim
To study the relationship existing between pennation angle, muscle thickness and moment of force in the erector spinae (ES) muscle during maximal isometric extension.
Material and methods
A cross-sectional study was conducted in 46 healthy participants (25 women and 21 men) without musculoskeletal disorders. They performed 3 5-second long maximum isometric contractions in lumbar extension at 45° from vertical. During the test, moment of force and the 2 muscle architectural variables of the ES muscle were recorded. The variables obtained through ultrasound imaging (architectural variables) were considered as independent variables and torque as dependent variable in linear regression and bivariate correlation made between the variables studied.
Results
An R2 value of 0.805 was obtained in the linear regression between variables. In the bivariate correlation, all the architectural variables were statistically significant between them.
Conclusion
During a lumbar extension at 45° from the vertical, the 2 independent variables (angle of pennation and muscle thickness) obtained of the ES muscle achieved an R2 value higher than 0.8 on the linear regression analysis. This would explain the very high relationship between these and the dependent variable (torque).

Objective
To describe the quality of information found on exercises on the websites for breast cancer survivors.
Methods
The study has a descriptive and exploratory design. A total of 40 websites on quality of information on exercises were evaluated. Three evaluation tools were used to analyze the quality of information on the websites: Discern, InEje (quality of exercise information), and FRES/Huertas.
Results
The percentages of the means for the maximum score for each evaluation tool were: Discern 62.67%, InEje 15.23% and FRES/Huertas 56.51%.
Conclusion
The evidence suggests that the quality of the information found on exercises on websites in English and Spanish for breast cancer survivors needs to be improved.

The movement analysis laboratory has become the standard to analyze gait disorders of the patient.
This study has aimed to evaluate the intra-test variability of the spatiotemporal and kinematic parameters that make up the Gillette gait endex (GGI) and the Gait deviation index (GDI) in normal patients. We have also investigated the consistency of the GDI in different measurements to analyze gait in normal patients.
Materials and methods
A sample of 20 healthy subjects was used to evaluate our hypothesis. Each subject underwent two gait analysis with an interval of two weeks between each analysis. The intraclass correlation coefficient (ICC) was used to evaluate the reproducibility of the tests.
Results
Good agreement was found in most of the variables used with the exception of the transverse parameters for the hip and sagittal parameters for the ankle in which the ICC was 0.49 and 0.53, respectively.
Conclusion
In conclusion, we found that the gait analysis procedure carried out using the motion analysis laboratory has good reproducibility and agreement among tests conducted on different days in normal subjects. This allows us to recommend this procedure as a reliable method to objectively evaluate gait alterations.

Objectives
With this work, we are aiming to improve the efficacy and coordination of referral mechanisms between primary care physicians and the primary care physiotherapy team, to increase the number of correct referrals (including in the protocols) performed by former to physiotherapy and to reduce the incorrect referrals as well as to reduce waiting times for treatment.
Material and methods
A quasi-quantitative, prospective study was performed using a non-randomized, sequential sample of 198 patients referred by primary and specialized care. Delay (measured in days) and number of correct and incorrect referrals (guideline-based intervention) before and after the clinical session carried out by the primary care physicians of the Basic health care area of Nijar were evaluated.
Results
In regards to number of incorrect referrals (those not fulfilling the specified protocols in the guideline), P=0.0127 was obtained when using the Chi-square test with Yates correction Pearson. In regards to the number of referrals from primary care, a P=0.0015 was obtained when using the Z test for comparison of proportions, with a 95% confidence level. For delay time, the using the Student's T test with a confidence level of 95%, a P<0.001 was obtained.
Conclusions
Direct referrals from primary care are increasing and waiting times for physiotherapy treatment are decreasing, with improved integration of the work of the physiotherapist within the Primary Care Team, thus benefiting the user.
