Objective
To determine the general anthropological and moral reference framework of the physiotherapy students of a Spanish university. Based on the results obtained, it is aimed to find the keys to modify/strengthen the teaching content of the student's curricula.
Method
Using a reliable and already validated questionnaire on values and ethics, a survey was made of 124 Spanish physiotherapy students.
Results
Means comparison were made with the contrast of hypothesis, using the t test with a 95% (p<0.05) reliability in order to find the significant differences between the answers of the men and women. The physiotherapy students have a moral value system focused on the religious factor. They share the idea that the individual has an intrinsic dignity and most of them are believers while they tend to give priority to helping and providing well-being to the patients over their autonomy and equal rights in health care. A total of 81% of the students usually pose existential type questions.
Conclusions
Although paradoxically in Spain, all the education of the health professional has been traditionally based on the biomedical frame of reference and the Spanish physiotherapy student's ethics view is clearly humanistic.

Objective
To attempt to establish a relationship among combined actions of several assessment scales of risk of falls related to previous reports of involuntary falls by elderly institutionalized subjects in a day care service during the last year.
Patients and methods
Evaluations of day care center users were carried out with the Tinetti test, Timed up and Go, Functional Reach test and JH Dowton fall risk scale. In addition to age, the Barthel index of functional capacity and existence or not of falls during the last year was recorded.
Results
38 people (25 women and 13 men) were studied. Mean age was 81.5 (SD: 5.4) and the Barthel index 84.1(17.2). Individual tests showed a similar proportion of falls among users at risk (approx. 55 %) and a greater difference among users without risks. In an isolated way, the greatest predictive effectiveness on falls followed the next sequence: Tinetti, JH Dowton, Timed Up and Go and Functional Reach. Nevertheless, when the four trials are combined, it can be observed that 63.6% of the elderly have had 3 or 4 positive trials have suffered at least one fall during the last year, while this percentage is reduced to 25 % among those with 2 or less positives on the risk assessment scales.
Conclusions
The combined use of the four assessment scales used in this study shows better sensitivity to the risk of fall than evaluation with individual use of the above-mentioned tests.
目的探讨近一年来住院老人非自愿跌倒相关的跌倒风险评估量表组合行为之间的关系。采用Tinetti测试、Timed up and Go测试、Functional Reach测试和JH Dowton跌倒风险量表对日托中心使用者进行评估。

The objective of this study is to examine the effect physical therapy on patients with Parkinson's Disease (PD).
Nineteen patients were evaluated with the Unified Parkinson's Disease Rating Scale (UPDRS). UPDRS is a multidimensional scale composed of four sections: 1) mental state, behavior and attitude; 2) daily activities; 3) motor examination; 4) therapeutic complications and modified Hoehn-Yahr scale. The motor complications caused by the PD have an important effect on physical and functional capacity.
The results relative to motor examination in the stage pre-intervention and post-intervention are shown with the linear regression, using SPSS software version 14.0®.
Measurements of central trend of the global punctuation reached in the pre-intervention and post-intervention stages are: in the on stage, the average goes from 64.22 ± 16.383 before physical therapy intervention to 50.89 ± 19.499 after the intervention; in the off stage, the value of the average goes from 85.78 ± 12.549 to 75.78 ± 17.745.
Quantitative reduction of muscular strength in the back, hips, ankles, with damage in propioception, visual sense and the lowest support base, are the main causes of instability in patients with Parkinson's Disease.
If the number of sessions (groups 3 and 4) are increased to a range of 7-12, the scores on the motor examination are higher. This indicates that neck stiffness, body posture, balance and gait improve, and this improvement is longer-lasting.

Objectives
To describe and compare how frequently patients with neck pain perceive different aspects related with the quality of physical therapy care of several health care centers.
Material and Methods
A descriptive, cross-sectional and analytic study was conducted. Patients with mechanical and non-traumatic neck pain were included. Information was collected using a self-report and previously validated questionnaire. Rate of answer and non- answer bias were analyzed. An adjusted descriptive analysis was performed, using indicators and the perceived quality was compared among centers based on indicators in each center, and the value average and percentiles of all centers.
Results
A total of 111 out of 162 questionnaires were collected. No significant differences were detected among those who responded and those who did respond to the questionnaire in relationship to gender and study level, but there were significant differences for age and previous physical therapy use. The dimensions of Waiting Time and Professional Competence are those that present the higher percentage of problems of perceived quality, 61.4% (52.4-70.4) and 51.7% (42.4-61.0), respectively. The dimension Organization has the lowest percentage of problems, 24.4 % (16.4-32.4). There are differences in the levels of quality perceived between most of the centers regarding the dimensions of Information and Professional Competence, and only between some centers regarding Time of wait and Organization.
Conclusions
The areas of Information and Professional Competence are those that accumulate the most problems of perceived quality. There is variability in the levels of perceived quality among the participant centers of health care.
