An initial treatment was given with silver nitrate, followed by the main treatment with homeopathy. Tabacum at different dilutions was complemented with acupuncture (auriculopuncture). The technique of the great delta 1 of the French school was also used, and finally at discharge, Caladium Seguinum 5 CH was given for 3 months.

Distress, anxiety, and the fear arising from these disorders are the most common psychic changes that pets (cats and dogs) suffer. Homeopathic medications are shown to be highly effective for treating these disorders, for restoring psychic normality of the animal. We usually do not observe more than one or two symptoms; however they must be sufficient in order to be able to propose a symptomatic treatment combined with an aetiological treatment. The different most used medications are proposed in each case, as well as the symptoms and circumstances for their prescription.

Homeopathy is an alternative medical system proposed by Samuel Hahnemann in the 18th century. It is based on the “similarity principle”, which establishes that “like cures like”, and uses very dilute and well mixed substances derived from plants, minerals, or animals. Homeopathy is used for the treatment of ailments in humans, but it is also applied in the agronomy and veterinary field. The use of homeopathic medicines during the rearing of production animals has developed rapidly in the last few years, largely motivated by the inadequate use of powerful drugs (hormones, antibiotics and others), which on solving one problem cause diverse collateral effects. Some of these agents bio-accumulative, and they induce or favour a greater resistance to antibiotics in pathogenic strains that ideally should be eliminated. They also have environmental repercussions when they are finally incorporated into the effluents of the production units. Faced with this growing and irreversible problem, it is assumed that homeopathy has a great potential in aquaculture. Some scientific articles have been published over the last 10 years on its application in freshwater fish, natives of Brazil, obtaining benefits in survival, muscle fibre development of muscle fibres, reduction in the inclusion of hepatic lipids, in the hepatosomatic index, and in the total lipid content in muscle tissue. New studies currently developed in the CIBNOR-México, to experimentally determine the effect of homeopathic medicines in the cultivation of species of economic importance such as, the white shrimp, the Catarina clam, and marine fish. The aim of this work is to give a general presentation on the scope of research associated with the application of homeopathy in the aquiculture sector, and propose it as an alternative therapy to the aquiculture industry.

The use of agrochemicals has demonstrated, over time, to be inadequate as they contribute to the contamination of the soil, foods, and up to the farmworkers, as well as affecting the ecologiacl balance. As a result of using agrochemicals, there have been more reports of diseases, including, among others, leukaemia, cancer, births with malformations, and abortions. For these reasons, there has been an increase in the number of producers and researchers searching for natural and ecological alternatives to be used in agriculture, with the aim of obtaining healthy and toxin free foods and eliminating the use of agrochemicals. One of the alternatives that the farmers and researchers are applying, and is becoming increasingly popular, consists of applying Homeopathy in agriculture (Agro-homeopathy). Several countries are currently applying this new option in the search for solutions to combat and control diseases in crops of economic importance, caused by bacteria, fungi, viruses and plagues, as well as boosting seed germination and the vigour of the plants. This also includes decontamination of the soils that have been exposed to agro-toxic treatments. In this work, as study is presented on the main results obtained up until now by the researchers and producers in Agro-Homeopathy, as well as the importance of botanical models in the search to find the mechanism of action in homeopathy in humans. A comparison is also made between the results obtained and with the application of agrochemicals.

In the realm of the great remedies for injuries and rheumatic joint pain, Rhus Toxicodendron, Bryonia and Rhododendron stand out over others. How many times have you given Rhus Toxicodendron to a patient with a polyarthralgia syndrome that, in principle, meets all or most of the requirements to be effective, and does not work? We then say: “My patient has the most characteristic, improves with movement, is worse at rest, is restless, with a feeling of tension and stiffness in tendons and joints, worse in cold, wet weather, painful contraction...” Ah, very well, but it does not work! We asked if it improves with hot water, with local heat, and tells us, to our surprise: “Ah, it is not improved by placing them in cold water, and I like being in the pool doing aquagym, I feel so well!” And delving into the history, and mental attitude, we discovered very particular aspects that will be pointed out later on. Therein lays the greatness and the great difficulty of homeopathy: the remedy is extremely demanding in its need to be resonant with the patient. If it lacks an important detail, and above all, its essence background, even if it satisfies many characteristic symptoms, the remedy will fail.

A 74 year-old woman who was seen, on her daughter's advice (a physician), in an attempt to improve a chronic interstitial cystitis with urinary frequency and urgency (27 times per day) that made her unable to lead a minimal normal life. She was unable to leave home due to the urinary incontinence and the bouts of severe pain in connection with urination. This situation has led the patient to be in very low spirits. She has been treated by different specialists, with no improvement. Treatment began in February 2011 and the patient is currently asymptomatic, having experienced a very important and progressive improvement since the second month of treatment, coinciding with the change of the dynamisation from LM to 100 CH. She only took a homeopathic medicine and the dynamisation that has resolved the case has been 100 CH. Brief comments will be made on the experience of its use, its indications and benefits.

Introduction

A 57 year-old male patient with renal cancer and lung metastases. He chose homeopathy against pulmonary lobectomy and subsequent treatment with chemotherapy and radiation therapy proposed by his oncologist. A report is presented on the clinical follow-up and outcome with homeopathy for 3 years and a half.

Objectives

To present the clinical progress of a patient treated only with homeopathy with LM potencies in ascending scale, similar to other patients with different diseases but with the same positive treatment results.

Methods

The presentation consists of 3 part. In the first part, the method of applying the LM potencies in ascending scale is explained. This has so far been applied in 8,500 patients and supports our clinical experience.

Conclusion

With this method, we also explain the practical application of water memory. The second section focuses on the significance of numerology in the method, depending on odd numbers. But this part will be presented in another issue of the journal as it cannot be presented in this one due to its length, being important to develop a better understanding of the method that we applied in all cases. The third part will be the presentation of the case referred to and its outcome after 3 years, providing additional tests, such as blood tests, chest X-rays, and chest computed tomography scans requested by the oncologist in follow up, knowing that the patient is being treated with homeopathy only.
