Train Management Platform for advanced maintenance of Passenger Information Systems 列车管理平台的乘客信息系统的先进维护

A Passenger Information System provides information about the train's running to the passengers on-board. Many nodes are present in this system, located all along the train. To guarantee that the information provided is correct and to perform predictive maintenance on this system in order to reduce costs, an intelligent distributed software application is presented in this paper. This proposed application eases the tasks of fault detection and correlation and can lead to an improvement in performance by aiding in the task of preventive maintenance.

The Utilisation of Multi-Antenna Enhanced Mobile Broadband Communications in Intelligent Transportation Systems 多天线增强移动宽带通信在智能交通系统中的应用

Car connectivity with road infrastructure is a hot topic in the field of intelligent transportation systems. Safety and mobility applications require effective and reliable transmissions while vehicles are on the move. Different transmission-technologies (DAB, DSRC, 3G, WiMAX) are currently studied in various projects and standardization initiatives. Mobile broadband wireless access (MBWA) also helps meet these needs by providing internet-based networking. One technology that helps MBWA systems further meet the needs of future ITS systems is multi-antenna signal (MAS) processing software. This technology uses a small cluster of antennas in base stations and/or user terminals to expand network capacity, spectral efficiency, user-data rates, and range, helping to deliver the operational needs of ITS communication systems. This paper discusses how MAS-enabled systems enhance MBWA networks in such systems, and focuses on the technologies and standards that support this role.

Intelligent Fleet Management System with Concurrent GPS & GSM Real-Time Positioning Technology 基于GPS和GSM实时定位技术的智能车队管理系统

Fleet management system is a rapid growing industry. This system helps institutions to manage vehicle fleet efficiently and effectively through smart allocation of resources. In this project, an intelligent fleet management system which incorporates the power of concurrent Global Positioning System (GPS) and Global System for Mobile Communications (GSM) real-time positioning, front-end intelligent and web-based management software is proposed. In contrast to systems which depend solely on GPS positioning, the proposed system provides higher positioning accuracy and is capable to track the target at areas where GPS signals are weak or unavailable. The terminal is powered by Front-End Intelligent Technology (FEI), a comprehensive embedded technology that is equipped with necessary artificial intelligence to mimic human intelligence in decision-making for quicker response, better accuracy and less dependence on a backend server. With less dependency on the backend, large scale fleet management system can be implemented more effectively. The proposed system is successfully implemented and evaluated on twenty vehicles including buses and cars in Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). Results from the test-bed shown that user can monitor and track the real-time physical location and conditions of their vehicles via Internet or Short Message Service (SMS). The web-based fleet management software also helped the user to manage fleets more effectively.

The Usage of Turbo Code in the Signal of Galileo System Turbo码在伽利略系统信号中的应用

This paper is used to simulate and realize the CDMA code -turbo code in the Galileo System. In Galileo system the signal is very complex which autocorrelation function needs very good property. How to use the code efficiency to improve the channel performance is a significant problem especially in the Galileo system. There are five parts in the paper. We show the general meaning of signal of Galileo system in the part I, part II is the general ides about Galileo frequency signals, part III is the principle of the turbo code and the BOC modulation, part IV is the simulation about turbo code in the Galileo system, and part V is the conclusion in the paper. It firstly gives the idea of turbo code which used in the signal of Galileo system. We use the complexity of the method of code to compensate for the reliability of information. The results of simulation realize the rate of 1/2, 1/3 and 1/4 spread code which efficiency is near to the theoretical values.

Short range automotive radar based on UWB pseudo-random coding 基于超宽带伪随机编码的近程汽车雷达

In this paper, a radar system for short range automotive application based on ultra-wideband (UWB) technology is studied. UWB uses very short pulses, so that the spectrum of the transmitted signals may spread over several Gigahertzes. In order to increase, from one part, the resolution in distance of this radar system and to avoid, from another part, multi-users interferences for an optimal detectability, we propose to improve the radar performances by using coding techniques. It consists on spreading out UWB signals by pseudo-noise codes in the transmitter unit. So the transmitted UWB signal is coded by pseudo-random sequences, such as Maximum Length Feedback Shift Register (MLFSR) or Gold codes. The receiver is based on numerical correlation. Many simulations, using different codes lengths, are realised in order to compare different UWB waveforms and to determine the convenient one according to the radar application. It is shown that Gaussian pulse associated to MLFSR code, offers better performance than other pseudo-noise codes, for UWB radar.

A Time-Frequency Excisor for GNSS Interference GNSS干扰的时频剔除器

In this paper the use of time-frequency representations for interference mitigation is discussed. In particular an excision algorithm is proposed and applied to the context of GNSS receivers. The algorithm is tested under different working conditions and its performances are assessed by means of the Receiver Operative Characteristics (ROC). The method is effective for interference removal and outperforms past algorithms already present in the literature.

Secure AAA and Mobility for Nested Mobile Networks 嵌套移动网络的安全AAA和移动性

Network mobility (NEMO) allows an entire network to change its point of attachment to Internet. The NEMO basic support protocol has been specified recently, however Authentication Authorization and Accounting (AAA) issues have not been covered. Moreover the use of IPsec to secure NEMO procedures does not provide robustness against leakage of stored secrets. To address this security issue and to achieve AAA with mobility, we propose a new handover mechanism to be performed by Visiting Mobile Routers attached to a Mobile Router that serves as the gateway to the Internet (i.e. nested NEMO). This new AAA and handover procedure is based on Leakage Resilient-Authenticated Key Establishment (LR-AKE) protocol but new features are added to provide robustness against leakage of stored secrets at the server side.

Vision Based Platform Monitoring System for Railway Station Safety 基于视觉的火车站站台安全监控系统

Passenger safety is a primary concern of railway system but, it has been urgent issue that dozens of people are killed every year when they are fallen from train platforms. In this paper, we propose a vision based monitoring system for railway station platform. The system immediately perceives dangerous factors of passengers on the platform by using image processing technology. To monitor almost entire length of the track line in the platform, we use several video cameras. Each camera conducts surveillance its own preset monitoring area whether human or dangerous object was fallen in the area. Moreover, to deal with the accident immediately, the system provides local station, central control room employees and train driver with the video information about the accident situation including alarm message. This paper introduces the system overview and detection process with experimental results. According to the results, we expect the proposed system will play a key role for establishing highly intelligent monitoring system in railway.

In this paper, we propose a vision based monitoring system for railway station platform. The system immediately perceives dangerous factors of passengers on the platform by using image processing technology. To monitor almost entire length of the track line in the platform, we use several video cameras. Each camera conducts surveillance its own preset monitoring area whether human or dangerous object was fallen in the area. Moreover, to deal with the accident immediately, the system provides local station, central control room employees and train driver with the video information about the accident situation including alarm message. This paper introduces the system overview and detection process with experimental results. An intelligent transport organization and its knowledge networks: Understanding tacit knowledge networks through knowledge transfers within and beyond the organization 智能交通组织及其知识网络:通过组织内外的知识转移了解隐性知识网络

This paper examines the interaction and development of tacit (informal) knowledge networks and how knowledge transfers occur within an intelligent transport organization (ITS Australia). The work is informed on a biological theory of organization combining Maturana and Varela 's concept of autopoiesis and Karl Popper's evolutionary epistemology. This claims many economic organizations are dynamic, evolving, hierarchically complex adaptive (i.e., biological) entities in their own rights. Understanding the impact of tacit knowledge networks is important for two reasons. First, a true intelligent, adaptive system is one which is self sustaining, and second, tacit knowledge networks can support the sustainability of any organization and its networks in both social and physical senses. Organizational policy documentation needs to, at the very least, reflect concepts of sustainability through understanding the holistic influences of socially intelligent networks.

Throughput Comparison of CSMA and CDMA slotted ALOHA in Inter-Vehicle Communication CSMA与CDMA开槽ALOHA在车际通信中的吞吐量比较

This paper compare the throughput performance of a carrier-sense multiple access (CSMA) scheme that uses an orthogonal frequency division multiple access (OFDM) physical layer and a CDMA slotted ALOHA scheme based on multicarrier CDMA (MC-CDMA) in inter-vehicle communication (IVC). In particular, we compare the throughputs in a situation where a hidden terminal is no longer negligible. We encounter such a situation in an intersection where two or more cars are crossing by. In a hidden terminal situation, the CSMA scheme may degrade throughput. On the other hand, CDMA slotted ALOHA has a resistance to the hidden terminal situation as it can support simultaneous packets. However, the transmission data rate is much slow because of the spreading. Thus the total throughput may not be as high as the CSMA based OFDM even in a hidden terminal situation. As a result, we show that the CSMA based OFDM system shows better total throughput than CDMA slotted ALOHA in all region. But, only the signal from the nearest car can be received. On the contrary, CDMA slotted ALOHA can be received many packets simultaneously. This is much preferable feature for safety driving.
