Approaches to tilted hard disk magnetic recording for extremely high areal density 用于极高面密度的倾斜硬盘磁记录方法

In principle there are a few possible configurations for tilted magnetic recording including the usage of tilted media in a longitudinal recording system, the usage of tilted media in a perpendicular recording system using single pole head, and the usage of the tilted single pole head with a perpendicular medium. We will discuss the advantages and disadvantages of those configurations for tilted hard disk recording based on theoretical analysis and micromagnetic simulation.

Novel FePt:C double-layered media for high density perpendicular magnetic recording were obtained. The preparation, magnetic properties, orientation mechanism, and read/write drag-testing are discussed.
