Energy detection of primary signals over η - μ fading channels η - μ衰落信道上初级信号的能量检测

In this paper1, the performance analysis of an energy detector is exploited under the η-μ fading channel model. The received unknown signal at the energy detector is considered as the primary signal transmitted by a primary network user (e.g. cognitive radio network). This research is focused on derivation of the closed-form average detection probability over the η - μ fading channel model. Further, results are extended to two diversity reception cases such as maximal ratio combining (MRC) and square-law combining (SLC) techniques with independent fading channels. Detection performance is discussed with receiver operating characteristics (ROC) curves. Our analysis is validated by numerical and simulation results.

Theoretical based approach to English to Sinhala machine translation 基于理论的英语到僧伽罗语机器翻译方法

Machine translation is a log felt need of the countries those who use English as a second language. Due to inherent complexity of natural languages, most of machine translation systems adopt rather ad-hoc strategies such as word level translation without concerning a proper theoretical basis. This has been a major reason for why the developments in natural language processing could not achieve as expected. This paper presents a theoretical-based approach to English-Sinhala machine translation through the concept of Varanagema (conjugation) in Sinhala Language. The theory of Varanagema in Sinhala language handles major language primitives including noun, verbs and prepositions. The concept of Varanagema also drastically reduces the number of word forms to be stored in the dictionaries of the machine translation system. The design, implementation and results of test versions of English-Sinhala machine translation system has been presented in the paper.

An efficient 2D image registration algorithm 一种高效的二维图像配准算法

In this paper an efficient algorithm is presented for registering the images based on pixel similarity. The proposed algorithm is based on concept of calculating number of points in the reference image and same sized target image which satisfy the defined similarity criterion. The algorithm uses a counter to count the number of the similar intensity valued points (as per similarity criterion) in both images. The window corresponding to maximum value of counter indicates the best match. The performance of proposed algorithm is studied by registering a set of occluded and noisy images. It is observed through experimental results on different type of real world images that the proposed algorithm efficiently registers the images with very low computation time.

Automatic facial landmark detection in a video sequences of non-manual sign languages 非手动手语视频序列中人脸标记的自动检测

Detection of landmarks in a face is very crucial in facial expression recognition system. It is an easy task for a human being to identify the expression of a person in a particular video sequence but not many efficient fully automated systems are available to perform this task. Face recognition requires the detection of face followed by landmarks identification that serves as a basis in facial expression recognition in a video sequence. Many methods have been given to detect a face in an image efficiently and accurately. But automatic detection of landmarks in each frame of a video sequence is still a difficult task. Most of the system which works on the recognition of facial expression finds the landmarks manually. In this paper a fully automated landmark detection method for the frames in a video sequence is introduced.

A study on a poly-bag manufacturing system preliminary analysis and simulation 一种塑料袋制造系统的初步分析与仿真研究

The material prices of poly bags increase with high degree of fluctuation and forecasters see no end to this trend. Further, legal restrictions imposed on certain types of polythene products adversely affect the demand. In the light of the above, entrepreneurs of the poly bag manufacturing face many challenges. In this study, an analysis and a simulation of a poly bag manufacturing system were carried out to improve the productivity to face the underlying challenges. This paper presents analysis, modeling and simulation methods of the system. In addition, a risk prioritization method was proposed at the preliminary analysis and also a simulation tool was developed.

Present day power networks have become very complex with integration of various kinds of loads and distributed generations such as wind power, mini hydro, dendro and solar. Hence, research activities in the area of control strategies on sophisticated operation of complex power systems are abundant. These studies require sound mathematical and theoretical analysis, advanced simulation packages and sophisticated test rigs. The simulation packages and carefully designed test rigs are important to verify the control strategies before implementing. Although there are number of simulation packages, available at affordable prices, high tech test rigs are very expensive. This paper discusses the design and implementation of a low voltage, converter controller for a Voltage Source Converter that can be used in a test rig to inject commanded P, Q.

Analysis on four legged multipurpose rope climbing robot 四足多用途爬绳机器人分析

This paper discusses the steady state dynamic behavior of a four legged multipurpose rope climbing robot. The kinematic structure of the robot has been designed to maximize the stability in the rope climbing application while depending on a minimum number of actuators. The paper presents the derivation of kinematics and dynamics of the robot. Detailed simulations carried out based on the dynamics of the robot demonstrate that state trajectories of the center of mass of the robot stays within dynamically stable bounds for bounded control inputs.

Development of an automated testing software for real time systems 实时系统自动化测试软件的开发

An automated software testing tool was built on PERL to test the eVC++ software running on WinCE platform on the embedded devices. An explicit model was built of the core functions of the software on the device. Test sequences were then generated that could call on these core functions. The PERL software received the input of the test sequence(s) to be run and the device(s) on which it was to be run. It would then retrieve the corresponding test sequence and expand the functions called from the core function set. Each of the instructions was converted into the format recognized by the device and sent over the network. The architecture displayed scalability by being extended to test the software on an enhanced device.

ECG delineation techniques and applications in Cobra venom interacted patients 心电描画技术及其在眼镜蛇毒液相互作用患者中的应用

ECG signal provides a dynamic assessment of the cardiac activities. To analyze the ECG signal, some innovative ECG delineation techniques alongwith a few known techniques were used to provide the optimum strategy for marking of events. The techniques were applied on 125 records of CSE DS-3 database for calibration and subsequently, on the data acquired from no known-cardiac Cobra bitten patients under strict ethical protocol and medical supervision.
