Alexandre Galí i Coll (1886-1969) is a key figure in Catalan pedagogical thought, a pioneer in the work on indicators and a reference point in the currents of pedagogical innovation in our country. In this article we set out to establish the relationship in his thinking between pedagogy and philosophy. In two different places in his work, the author defends two theories: 1/ Without technique there is no pedagogy; and 2/ Without philosophy there is no pedagogy. But what exactly does this second statement mean? The present study aims to answer this question. We aim to how, for Galí, the mission of pedagogy – in a sense that we must clarify – is to “save humankind” and, for that reason, for him (like Hannah Arendt) there can be no pedagogy without a philosophical clarification of the human condition.

: This article studies the elements that make group work beneficial for university student learning. It reviews the literature on the subject and presents the results of quantitative research based on survey data obtained in 2010 from approximately 1000 students of four public universities in the Barcelona Metropolitan Area. An analysis is made to show how group work is affected by each of the indicators that make up Maslow's hierarchy of needs pyramid, adapted to the university world by Prescott and Simpson (2004). The results demonstrate that for this methodology to be beneficial, its application needs to reach certain quality thresholds. The article also concludes that, in some degree courses, the Bologna Reform (1999) has failed to enable these thresholds.

L'enfocament AICLE (Aprenentatge Integrat de Continguts i Llengua) en l’educacio primaria exigeix professionals formats per actuar com a docents en aquest tipus de contexts. Sensible a aquesta questio, la UAB va posar en marxa al 2012 un programa pilot d'internacionalitzacio a casa denominat «Grau d’Educacio Primaria – Docencia Universitaria en Angles» (GEP-DUA), amb un 65-80% dels credits en angles i amb un sistema d’acces propi. L’article situa el programa pilot en el context catala i europeu d’internacionalitzacio de l’educacio superior, analitza el proces de presa de decisions que van confluir en les etapes de genesi i disseny del GEP-DUA, i presenta un resum de les conclusions preliminars dels estudis realitzats sobre el GEP-DUA.
