Based on the adaptive control technique, the problem of fault-tolerant tracking control for a class of T-S fuzzy systems with actuator failures is investigated in this study. The considered actuator failure is the loss of effectiveness, an adaptive fault-tolerant control law is proposed based on the online estimation of the actuator failures. For reducing the failure effect on the dynamic system, an adaptive compensation control input is added to the normal control law without fault detection and isolation (FDI) mechanism. According to Lyapunov approach, the dynamic tracking performance of the closed-loop system is optimized and the output responses of the dynamics asymptotically track that in fault case. Finally, simulation results are given to illustrate the effectiveness and potential of our approach.

Lots of researchers have been studying on how to construct radial basis function neural networks. To determine the number and location of hidden neurons, a recursive procedure is adopted with a new evaluation criterion based on localized generalization error model (L-GEM). We derive a new sensitivity expression for Gaussian radial basis function neural network based on L-GEM, and get a new localized generalization error bound. The RBF that yields the minimal localized generalization error bound is selected. We compare our approach with minimization of cross validation, and minimization of training mean square error (MSE) methods. The experimental results show that our approach performs much better than the other two methods with reasonable number of centers.

In this paper, we propose a novel method to weight features for their relevance to the given classification problem. The weight of a feature is computed by its Localized Generalization Error model (L-GEM). Then, a Radial Basis Function Neural Network (RBFNN) is trained by those weighted features. Experimental results on image classification problem show that the proposed method is efficient and effective in comparison to current methods.

Liu's generalized intuitionistic fuzzy number (L-GIFN) was proposed by author's previous work, in which, we know that if the value of extension index L equals zero, then L-GIFN is just Atanassov's intuitionistic fuzzy number (A-IFN). However, both of Atanassov's addition operation and scalar multiplication operation can only be used for the set of all L-GIFNs with the value of extension index zero or one, but not for other sets of all L-GIFNs with different values of extension index L. In this paper, a generalized addition operation and a scalar multiplication operation are proposed. Both of them can be used for all kinds of set of L-GIFNs with different values of extension index L. On the other hand, it is proved that Liu's partial order is order-preserving not only for Atanassov's addition operation and scalar multiplication operation but also for these two new operations, which can be used for constructing an ordered poset of Liu's generalized intuitionistic fuzzy numbers to handle intuitionistic fuzzy multi-criteria fuzzy decision making problems.

Image degradation is associated with many factors. We first give a brief introduction for the optical theory of defocused image, and then discuss the models of defocusing and introduce an effective way to calculate the PSF (Point Spread Function) of defocus. With the Gaussian model and degradation of defocus in parameter estimation, we propose a new method to reconstruct defocused image, which is based on Lucy-Richardson Algorithm combined with Wiener Adaptive filtering removing the noise. The simulation results show that the new method can achieve good recovery results.

In this paper, the technology of ZigBee based on wireless sensor network was adopted to carry out the real-time oxyhemoglobin saturation monitoring. C8051F340 was used to control UZ2400 as MCU(Micro Control Unit). Electricity was consumed less than 2mA when it worked and electricity was consumed less than 1µA when it slept. This system can prolong the life time of battery effectively. And the system avoided tedious A/D conversion which the traditional sensor needs and its measure precision is good.

In this paper, we propose a new approach to improve the translation quality by adding the Key-Words of a sentence to the parallel corpus. The main idea of the approach is to find the key-words of sentences that cannot be properly translated by the model, and then put it or them in the training corpus in a separated line as a sentence. During our experiment, we use two statistical machine translation (SMT) systems, word-based SMT (ISI-rewrite) and phrase-based SMT (Moses), and a small parallel corpus (4,000 sentences) to check our assumption. To our glad, we get a better BLEU score than the original parallel text. It can improve about 6% in word-based SMT (isi-rewrite) and 4% in phrased-based SMT (Moses). At last we build a 120,000 English-Chinese parallel corpus in this way.

The shadows are regarded as obstacles in remote sensing image analysis. With high-resolution remote sensing images developed, especially in urban area, shadow detection plays a much more important role in many applications. This paper presents a novel vision-based shadow detection method. The shadow areas are usually much darker than non-shadow areas visually in high resolution images. In our method, we extracted MSER (Maximally Stable Extremal Regions) in the image. Then these regions are classified into shadow-areas and non-shadow areas. Our method is experimentally verified by applying it to Quickbird images. The experimental result shows that it can effectively extract shadow areas in high resolution remote sensing images.

With consideration of two-dimensional (2D) nature of iterative learning control (ILC), the equivalence between the compound ILC and a special 2D system is investigated. On the basis of robust analysis and design methods are developed for a special 2D system, a new segmented compound ILC scheme based on the 2D state input and output feedback has been delivered which gives the solutions to the descriptions, analyses and compensation of linear motor disturbances on the compound ILC system. The effectiveness and good performances of the proposed ILC schemes not only illustrated by permanent magnet linear synchronous motor (PMLSM) simulation test on minimum disturbances along the time and iterative axis, but also shown in experiments that tracking position precision of PMLSM can be effectively improved by the scheme the experimental results.

In this paper, we define a kind of singular Teodorescu operator with order n+α+1 in Lp space with valued in Clifford algebra. We discuss its boundedness and Hölder continuity. And the works lay a strong foundation for the studies of boundary value problems of degenerate equations in Clifford analysis. Moreover boundary value problems of various equations and extreme value problem of it's solution have been widely apply in theory of control, signal processing and so on.
