In this paper, a new Web-based English-Chinese bilingual dictionary construction pattern is established on the basis of the fusion of the reverse hierarchical alignment. On the one hand, English-Chinese bilingual corpora are collected based on Web mining. On the other hand, unlike the traditional alignment manner from sentence level to word level, the reverse alignment and verification from word level to sentence level is implemented by combining K-vec-based word-level alignment algorithm and Champollion-based sentence-level alignment algorithm. The experimental results show that the more ideal effect is obtained in the manner of “word level” −> “sentence level” reverse alignment dictionary construction.

The correct prediction of the future development needs of the whole society, as well as the advanced adjustments and planning of postgraduate education are of great significance to achieve the sustainable and healthy development of postgraduate education in Hebei Province and to form a positive interaction between the development of postgraduate education and socio-economy development in Hebei Province. Based on the trend fitting model and the linear regression model, this paper predicts the scale of postgraduate education in Hebei Province to be achieved during the 12th and the 13th Five-year Plan, and points out that the scale of graduate student enrollment should be compatible with the GDP growth rate. Finally, we put forward some suggestions for the future development of the postgraduate education in Hebei Province.

Now control system of condenser does not take into account the overall characteristics of the condenser, cooling water, exhaust system and hot well use single variable controller and their relations are not considered, the control system of condenser is not benefit to condenser in variable conditions or changing load case. In order to improve the working environment of the condenser of nuclear power plant in different conditions, this paper proposes a condenser controller base on coordinated control technology from the overall characteristics of the condenser, In order to verify & validate the feasibility of the coordinated controller of condenser, simulation experiment is carried out by the vapor condenser simulation models which can describe the dynamic behavior of a nuclear power shell-and-tube condenser. The simulation results show that the coordinated controller is better than the traditional controller for the condenser, the transients of the most variables are milder and faster to reach their final values in mode of coordinated controller.

Fault diagnosis in analog circuits is a comparatively front research topic. Firstly, the characteristics and the difficulties of fault diagnosis in analog circuits are introduced in this paper. Secondly, to overcome the defections of existing methods of SVM multiclass classification, a new method of SVM multiclass classification based on binary tree is presented. Aiming at the characteristics of fault diagnosis with finite samples and the difficulties of traditional mode identifying method based on gradual-close theory faces in fault pattern classifier, we used our new method of SVM multiclass classification to fault diagnosis of analog circuits. Finally, we also simulate on the fault diagnosis examples with the same training and test samples, and compare the results with that of neural networks method. The simulation results show the new method is efficient.

In this paper, a new correction method for Dead Reckoning (DR) navigation system is proposed based on digital map. An improved Map-Match algorithm is adopted, including a new “road correction” algorithm and a new “road projection” algorithm based on fuzzy theory and geometry theory. New information that contains the similarity of the road is introduced to the communication protocol between DR system and Map-Match system, which greatly enhances the robustness of the data fusion period. Based on the information provided by digital map, the DR system can not only corrects the position output, but also estimates the odometer scale factor error. The result of road test proves that the new method greatly improves the performance of DR system in long distance navigation.

Lung cancer is one of the most frequently occurring cancer and has a very low five-year survival rate. Computer-aided diagnosis (CAD) helps reducing the burden of radiologists and improving the accuracy of abnormality detection during CT image interpretations. Owing to rapid development of the scanner technology, the volume of medical imaging data is becoming huger and huger. Automated segmentations of the target organ region are always required by the CAD systems. Although the analysis of lung fissures provides important information for treatment, it is still a challenge to extract fissures automatically based on the CT values because the appearance of lung fissures is very fuzzy and indefinite. Since the oblique fissures can be visualized more easily among other fissures on the chest CT images, they are used to check the exact localization of the lesions. In this paper, we propose a fully automatic fissure detection method based on the genetic algorithm to identify the oblique fissures. The accurate rates of identifying the oblique fissures in the right lung and the left lung are 97% and 86%, respectively when the method was tested on 87 slices.

Based on saliency region representation of visual scene, a framework for quantifying the semantic similarity of two video scenes is proposed in this paper. Frame-segment key-frame strategy is used to concisely represent video content in temporal domain. Spatio-temporal conspicuity model for basic visual semantics, a neuromorphic model that simulates human visual system, is used to select dynamic and static spatial salient areas. With pattern classification technique, the basic visual semantics are recognized. Then, the similarity of two visual scenes is calculated according to information theoretic similarity principles and Tversky's set-theoretic similarity. Experiment results demonstrate the framework could compute quantitative semantic similarity of two video scenes.

The Choquet integral is a very useful tool for multiple resource information fusion. Also, the case-based reasoning (CBR) can serve as the information fusion tool based on the basic idea “similar problems have similar solutions”. But the similarity measure among diverse cases has been studied with little satisfaction in the past decades. In this paper we take arbitrary number of similar case distances as the input of the Choquet integral to flexibly represent the interaction among the cases. Consequently, our proposed approach has the ability to approximate the more general relation described by a CBR system. Because of the application of the Choquet integral and the fact that the existing CBR system can be regarded as a special case of our proposed approach, we largely generalize the application scope of traditional CBR techniques. Essentially, our proposed approach can work well based on incomplete data and also tolerate noisy data and outliers.

We propose an improved neural-network-based palm biometric system with a rotation detection mechanism. An efficient method is developed for detecting the palm rotation angle in the scanned image by establishing reference line segments and calculating the segment slopes. By integrating this mechanism into our previous work [1], the limitation of palm rotation angle can be alleviated. Besides, the feature point searching step in [1] can be simplified. Experimental results have shown that the rotation of palms in scanned images can be detected and the feature points can be located correctly.

This paper proposed a method for Unknown Words Identification (UWI) based on repeats. To identify Unknown words with reliable theory, we put forward a formal model for the process of UWI, which can give directions on the selection of features used in UWI in theory. For the formal model, we propose employing Conditional Random Fields model (CRF) as statistical frame to resolve it. Under the statistical frame, UWI is converted to the process of exploiting effective features that can represent the essences of unknown words. The experiments show that the method of this paper is effective, and reasonable combination of features used in CRF can evidently improve the result of UWI. The ultimate result (F score) of this method is 47.81% and 69.83% in open test and word extraction respectively, which is better over the best result reported in previous works.
