In this paper, we propose to improve the traditional projection onto convex sets (POCS) super-resolution reconstruction (SRR) method by combining a newly-developed compressive sensing (CS) theory. This compressive sensing theory is more recently adapted to super-resolution reconstruction. The only requirement is that the image is known to be sparse, which is a specific but very general and wide-spread property of natural signal. Experimental results exhibit visible improvement on reconstructed image towards traditional POCS method.

Using an acoustic vector sensor array, adaptive beamforming is addressed based on hypercomplex algebra. To utilize the minimum-variance distortionless response beamforming in the biquaternion domain, a variant of Capon beamformer named Biquaternion Capon (BQ-Capon) is proposed. Simulations show that the BQ-Capon beamformer outperforms the conventional long vector Capon beamformer with the convergence rate, and is less sensitive to the inaccuracy of the steering vector of the signal-of-interest (SOI) than the latter.

Inspired by the principle of the biological immune system (BIS), this paper proposed an immune multi-agent network (IMAN) model by means of the theory and method of the multi-agent system (MAS). On the base of analyzing the comparability on the defense function and adaption and self-organization between the cooperative air-defense system of system for surface warship formation (CASoSSWF) and the BIS, the CASoSSWF is mapped to the BIS, furthermore the new function structure model of immune agents of the CASoSSWF are designed. Above IMAN model and its immune defense theory colligated, the novel immune multi-agent network model is established and the model defense mechanism is analyzed. The aim is to exploit an original idea for the cooperative air-defense system of system for surface warship formation, and to provide a theoretical model that can be used to found a modern combat simulation system.

A microphone array speech enhancement method based on blind broadband beamforming is introduced in this paper. The broadband signals are firstly divided into sub-bands in the frequency domain. Then the steering vector is then estimated by computing the singular value decomposition of the forth-order cross cumulant matrix. Finally, the sub-band speech signals are reconstructed and the corrupted speech is enhanced. Simulation results show that compared with some methods, the proposed method in the paper has good performance in the reverberation environments even without the information about direction of interest signal.

In this paper, a new dynamic noise reduction algorithm is proposed based on time-variety filter (TVF), which can be implemented in both time and modified discrete cosine transform (MDCT) domain. In time domain, an IIR filter with changeable bandwidth is for the TVF. In frequency domain, combined with MDCT transform, the noise is suppressed in MDCT domain. A few experiment results reveal that the algorithm retains the noise-suppressing performance with low delay and algorithm complexity.

This paper presents a newly emerging technology called orange computing for humanistic care applications. Orange computing refers to health, happiness, and physiopsychological care computing, which focuses on designing algorithms and systems for enhancing body and mind balance. Compared with green computing, orange computing lays more emphasis on humanistic care, particularly the elderly or those who require a certain degree of extra practical and physical/psychological help. According to color psychology, orange is a harmonic fusion of passion, love, and happiness. It is appropriate to choose orange as the representative color for orange computing. The goal of orange computing is to increase awareness of science and technology and finally to promote mental wellness for the well-being of the society.

Cameras and surveillance systems are widely installed at streets, communities, schools, buildings and so on. In our previous results, the global positioning system (GPS) was incorporated with the visual tracking technique, called GPS-VT. A person can be located and tracking according his GPS coordinate in the outdoor environment. However, GPS-VT service is unavailable when the person walks in an indoor environment. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to provide a seamless fusion of GPS-VT service for persons from the outdoor to indoor environment. In order to achieve the above purpose, template matching, shadow removal, and collision resolution techniques are used for the tracking among multiple cameras in the indoor environment. Besides, the elapsed time of a person leaving the field-of-views (FOV) of one camera and entering the FOV of another is not a fixed value. An automatic estimation mechanism is designed and a normal distribution function is used to estimate an acceptable interval of the elapsed time. Such a mechanism is performed for any two successive cameras. Besides, a prototype was implemented to demonstrate that the GPS-VT service is extended from outdoor to indoor environment with multiple cameras.

This paper considers the possibility of improving the interference pattern in mobile radio communication networks by use of mobile transceiving stations with two antennas and two delay lines. Each of delay lines is installed in reception path of antenna that ensures the constructive interference for useful signal and destructive interference for disturbance signal. Such constructive suggestion leads to amplification of useful signal and to attenuation of almost all other signals received by mobile station in owing to reflection from macro obstacles. This method permits the possibility of utilization of these kind mobile stations not only to face the interference problem but also for simultaneous transceiving the signal by several mobile stations.

There are a lot of tourism support systems to help travelers make a reservation of hotels and ticket. Also, they have normally a rating function to evaluate the services regarding the quality, price, and several other items. In this paper, we propose an evaluation method to make service providers disclose their information. For example, when users make a hotel room reservation on the website, they see some detailed information of the hotel and compare the multiple hotels on the attributes. However, most of users compare the hotel on a few information because the quantities of disclosed information are difference between hotels. Some hotels may be passive to disclose their information, otherwise they show the only photo that is looking good. In the hotel reservation website like agoda.com, hotels.com and others, travelers can give their opinion after staying there. However, the provided information may not be enough for travelers who are choosing a hotel. In this paper, we discuss the evaluation system in hotel reservation website. Then, to avoid asymmetric and incomplete information to the travelers, we design a mechanism of hotel evaluation. After that, we give some experiments to show the rate of incentives to make a reservation in our proposed mechanism.

Paper introduces the type of reversible lanes technology briefly and discusses the fundamentals of reversible lanes technology in two aspects: road conditions and traffic flow characteristics. Based on the internal relationship between reversible lanes and traffic control, also puts forward the framework for reversible lanes and intersection signal control linkage control optimization, mainly researches the traffic organization and intersection organization method of reversible lanes in the following aspects: road situation assessment; signal phase and sequence designing; optimized design of the cycle, green time, splits and offsets for the linkage control. In addition, based on theoretical research, this thesis studies the traffic organization and intersection organization method of reversible lanes in depth. Finally, stronger practicability and accuracy of the methods proposed is verified through the simulation of Kunming transportation network.
