The practice of khutba before the Friday prayer is one of the Irshad tools that contribute significantly to the accumulation of religious knowledge for individuals owing to the fact that khutbas can reach out to a large part of society. However, khutbas are also made available to the public through publications such as independent books, journals, and newspapers. The research concerning the Friday khutbas demonstrates that society has questions/problems related to the fiqh among the religious issues. Through the application of the Fatwa Line, the society conveys these questions to the Muftiate or directly to the High Board of Religious Affairs. A component that reflects the faith in the Presidency of Religious Affairs, and the High Board, is the academic efforts to provide a timely response to these questions. In this study, we sought to survey the research and literature concerning the khutba service of the Presidency of Religious Affairs in the aspects of fiqh. However, in the process of developing the contents of khutba , we discovered the sectors in which the expectations of society are directed within the discipline of fiqh. Therefore, we address the relationship between the fatwa , which is described as the response to the religious questions, and the catechization. We also address the possibility of using the fatwas in khutbas as a tool of instruction in fiqh. Concerning the practical elements of our study, we discovered that among the content of the khutbas given in 2019, no usage of fatwas was included. In this study, we highlight the fatwas , which can be accessed on the website of the High Board and can be seen as a response to the questions of society, as these fatwas are in the same context of the content of the khutbas delivered in 2019. Tabaqat Fuhul Al-Shu‘ara (Classes of Champion Poets) of Ibn Sallam Al-Jumahi, one of the leading examples of literary criticism, is commonly referred to as a biography or literary history book. Although Ibn Sallam’s work contains a lot of historical data with objective and clear criteria, he debates topics like originality and imitation in the introduction of his book, and the idea of the classes of champion poets indicates that he basically implemented an activity of pure literary criticism. Based on this inference, our study aims to test the claim that Tabaqat is a primary source that had been applied in the art of literary criticism, and accordingly, it analyzes Ibn Sallam’s contribution to Arabic literary criticism. Therefore, a qualitative research method was used, and data were analyzed through content and descriptive analysis. Thus, the data on the aspect of Tabaqat, being related to literary criticism, were collected and evaluated from a different perspective than in previous studies. ABSTRACT Ibn Sallam Al-Jumahi (d. 231/845) is among the first grammarians, linguists and literary scholars of the Arabic language. His work, Tabaqat Fuhul Al-Shu‘ara , is one of the most eminent presentations of the literary materials in his era. His work includes a number of critical discussions such as the definition of literary criticism, originality, and imitation in Arabic poetry; classification of both Islamic and pre-Islamic poets; the falsification in the poetry transmitted by the rawis from pre-Islamic and early Islamic times; standards for literary works; and the phenomenon of plagiarism.

The subjects, authors, and translators of the works written in the historical course of the Turkish language, when they were written, the period of the Turkish language as well as the reasons for their writing are important to evaluate these works. The reasons for copyright are usually included in the introductions of the works and tell us why the works were written. In these parts, the authors or translators cite factors encouraging them to write while giving information about themselves and the work. In line with the information to be obtained from the copyrighted parts of the works, we can know the elements needful in the emergence of these works. Obtaining information about these elements can help us understand the society in which the author and translator live and the religious, social, cultural and scientific aspects of that society.
