Underwater acoustic networks (UANs) in deep-sea suffer from long propagation delays and severe multipath interference under limited bandwidth. This letter presents DNC-CS-TDMA MAC protocol, a topology-transparent hybrid MAC that overlays delay-aware, locally ordered carrier sensing on a TDMA backbone. Each owner slot admits a dynamic neighbor cluster for safe intra-slot reuse via an adaptive CS-Window and reverberation-aware guarding. Without global link-state knowledge, DNC-CS-TDMA selects the active cluster by maximizing an estimated throughput increment that accounts for contention gain and next-slot penalty. Simulations over large-scale, deep-sea topologies show consistent gains in throughput and end-to-end delay over TT-TDMA and DOTS under medium-to-high traffic loads.

Multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) systems using Rydberg atomic (RA) receivers face significant scalability challenges in signal detection due to their nonlinear signal models. This letter proposes phase-rotated symbol spreading (PRSS), which transmits each symbol across two consecutive time slots with an optimal $boldsymbol {pi /2}$ phase offset. PRSS enables reconstruction of an effective linear signal model while maintaining spectral efficiency and facilitating the use of conventional RF-MIMO detection algorithms. Simulation results demonstrate that PRSS achieves greater than 2.5 dB and 10 dB bit error rate improvements compared to current single-transmission methods when employing optimal exhaustive search and low-complexity sub-optimal detection methods, respectively.
