Spectrum allocation optimization for Cognitive Radio networks using Binary Firefly Algorithm 基于二进制萤火虫算法的认知无线网络频谱分配优化

Cognitive Radio is a promising technology to improve the spectrum utilization and ease the shortage of spectrum resources, and the quality of spectrum allocation directly determines the spectrum utilization. In order to explore a better solution for spectrum allocation in cognitive radio networks, a spectrum allocation model based on graph theory is established to describe the problem in this paper, and the novel Binary Firefly Algorithm is used to facilitate the spectrum allocation optimization, so as to maximize the cognitive network spectrum utilization and secondary user fair within the interference constraint. Finally, the simulation results demonstrate that the proposed spectrum allocation algorithm can perform better than a set of existing algorithms in network reward, secondary user's fairness and convergence.

Process modelling for a creative problem solving support system 为创造性解决问题的支持系统建立过程模型

More and more digital supports are being developed to assist creativity. Some of them are designed to uniquely support specific creative methods, while others target the overall support of the creativity and innovation process. Whatever they might offer, only a few use a systems engineering approach. Generally, they do not formalize the environment or interactions within it. The present study proposes a new formalism for modelling the creativity process through the design of a Creative Support System (CSS). This formalism attempts to model an Innovation Challenge and is inspired by actual system engineering modelling formalisms and the literature on creativity. The first section will discuss CSS support of the “48h to Generate Ideas®” creativity challenge. Following this, the new representation formalism will be discussed. The conclusion will focus on the application of this formalism and establishment of the basis for future research.

Blank design for the stretch forming of aircraft skin 飞机蒙皮拉伸成形的毛坯设计

In this article, a new approach is proposed for the manufacture of aircraft skin. Based on the optimal designed flatten blank with pockets pre-machined, stretch forming process is employed to form the designed aircraft skin. This approach relatively increased the accuracy of pockets shapes and thickness value and reduced the machining difficulty on the curved surface compared with the traditional method that the pockets are machined after the blank deformed. To study the feasibility of this method, FEA software was used to conduct the numerical simulation to obtain CAD data of the deformed part. Then the profiles of the pockets were dispersed with numerous points and the correspondence relationships were set up among the designed pockets on flat blank, formed pockets and the target pockets. To improve the blank design, shape sensitive method was employed by evaluating the offset influence of two designed blanks on the formed pockets profiles. It could decrease the numbers of iteration in blank design and reduce the shapes deviations between the formed pockets profiles and the target pockets profiles.

Towards a conceptual semantic design for mechatronic product's family development 面向机电产品族开发的概念语义设计

Conceptual design is the first step in mechatronic products development process. In this paper, a conceptual semantic design methodology for mechatronic product's family development is proposed. Thus, we go from the specification to a set of classes of solutions satisfying requirements and likely to meet performance constraints such as maintainability, availability, reliability, safety, recyclability. The proposed methodology allows us to take into account the various skills of designers who can participate in the design process. It, also, takes into account the actors that participate to the manufacturing process. This methodology combines collaborative, concurrent, parametric and constraint-based design and is also compatible with V-Model and systematic design.

A network-based assessment of design dependency in product development 产品开发中基于网络的设计依赖性评估

When design evolves design changes are inevitable. They affect the design of a product in many aspects and requires much redesign, which is time consuming and costly. This article introduces a network-based approach to assess the design dependency in a quantitative manner such that strategic design decisions could be made to deal with design resources allocation and design activity scheduling, and reduces unnecessary design changes. This approach considers the dependencies of design elements from a global perspective, and calculates and ranks the weights of corresponding design elements in terms of their design interaction behaviour. Different design strategies are recommended accordingly. A case study is conducted to validate the feasibility and robustness of the proposed approach.

The engineering design and efficiency analysis of gear reducer for gear-motor 减速机的工程设计及效率分析

Recently, the power system equipped in elevator contains motor and gear reducer to get large output torque. In general, the motor and gear reducer are designed and manufactured separately. Its chief advantage is the reducing complexity of the related design process. However, the power system would constitute a variety of problems such as larger amount of components, heavy weight, longer power-path, and large installation space. The purpose of this paper is to present new design concept which integrates motor and gear reducer into one single device and named as “gear-motor”. This concept has advantages: 1. less friction loss and higher overall efficiency, 2. smaller volume, less weight, and less axial space, and 3. better dynamic characteristic, less vibration, and less noise. First, according to the combining and eliminating methods of check list, we proposed four design concepts “gear-motor”. Based on the concept of train value equation of the train circuit, the 2-stage planetary gear reducer and coupled type gear reducer are synthesized. Then, according to the latent power theorem, the meshing efficiencies of the corresponding gear reducers are analyzed to be 95.46% and 95.87%. Finally, the engineering design is accomplished to illustrate the design methodology. Based on the proposed methodology, all gear-motors can be synthesized.

Product recommendation system for small online retailers using association rules mining 基于关联规则挖掘的小型在线零售商产品推荐系统

Recommendation systems in e-commerce have become essential tools to help businesses increase their sales. In this paper, we detail the design of a product recommendation system for small online retailers. Our system is specifically designed to address the needs of retailers with small data pools and limited processing power, and is tested for accuracy, efficiency, and scalability on real life data from a small online retailer.

Localization of freeform surface workpiece with particle swarm optimization algorithm 基于粒子群算法的自由曲面工件定位

A localization method for freeform surface workpiece with particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm is proposed in this paper. This study is the first attempt to use PSO as a matching algorithm in localization based on in situ measuring technology. The performance of the algorithm is studied by a set of simulations and optimal parameters settings are given. To test the performance of PSO and compare it with the classical Iterative Closest Point (ICP) algorithm, a blade model and a free-form surface model are used in this study. Simulation results show that PSO with the proposed parameter settings is appropriate to the localization of different freeform surface workpieces with high accuracy and not dependent on pre-localization condition. This study proves that PSO is a new effective algorithm for the localization of freeform surface workpiece because of its advantage of high global search ability over most existing algorithms.

Trends in concurrent, multi-criteria and optimal design of mechatronic systems: A review 机电系统并行、多准则和优化设计的发展趋势

Due to the inherent complexity and the dynamic coupling between subsystems of mechatronic systems, a systematic and multicriteria design thinking methodology is crucial to replace the traditionally used sequential design approach. In this paper we discuss the various aspects of current approaches within mechatronic system design to point out the most important challenges. Accordingly, a review on the most recent work on design and optimization methods and tools is presented and briefly discussed. A framework for concurrent and integrated design of mechatronic system based on separation of realtime and non-realtime system behaviours is also introduced and developed methods based on this model are presented.

A preliminary study of EEG spectrogram of a single subject performing a creativity test 进行创造性测试的单个受试者的脑电图谱图的初步研究

Following our previous attempts to use physiological signals to study design activities, in this paper we study EEG spectrogram of one subject when he performed non-creative and creative tasks. In the non-creative task, the subject is given a simple figure and is asked to name it as he intuitively perceives. In the creative task, the subject is presented to the same figure but is required to elaborate on it creatively. The EEG spectrogram of Fz channel is generated and evaluated based on the behaviour data. We find that beta is weak when the subject does not seem to put much effort in the task. Beta also occurs more frequently in creative tasks than in non-creative tasks.
