Periodical changes in quality parameters of honey during storage and processing 蜂蜜在贮存和加工过程中质量参数的周期性变化

The effect of storage upto 15 months on apiary honey with an increase in storage period upto 15 months resulted in an increase in the refractive index, pfund value, TRS, glucose, HMF and yeast and decrease in the moisture, pH and sucrose levels. The properties of honey changed with the advancement of storage. The honey when subjected to indirect heating at different temperatures revealed that moisture content of honey was reduced when heated beyond 50 0C. A slight variation in TRS content was also observed. In addition to that, the increasing trend in HMF content of honey with the increasing temperature was found. The observation on yeast population in honey exhibited significant growth during the storage. The pollen and yeast counts of processed and unprocessed honey were reduced significantly from 53,760.33 to 38,132.67 and 47,927.33 to 1734.33, respectively.

Assessment of some Indian wheat genotypes and breeding lines for adult plant resistance (APR) against stripe rust 一些印度小麦成虫抗条锈病基因型及选育品系的评价

Stripe or yellow rust of wheat caused by Puccinia striiformis west end f. sp. tritici is devastating foliar disease and is considered of immense importance in cool and humid wheat growing parts of the world. A total of 41 wheat genotypes collected from different institutes of India were evaluated for Adult Plant Resistance to stripe rust. The field studies revealed fifteen genotypes viz: PBW 750, PBW 752, PBW 779, PBW 780, JAUW 672, WH 1184, HI 1619, 13th HTWYT 719, 25th HRWSN 2105, 47th IBWSN 1185, 32nd SAWSN 3011, HD 3086, 22nd SAWYT 316, PBW 763 and PBW 801 exhibiting resistant reaction with Average Coefficient of Infection (ACI) ranging from 0.45 to 2.

Evaluation of capsicum hybrids against viral diseases under protected cultivation in Dharwad, Karnataka 卡纳塔克邦达尔瓦德辣椒保护栽培杂种抗病毒性评价

Screening of capsicum hybrids were conducted under protected cultivation during kharif 2018 and rabi 2018-19. The results indicated that out of fourteen hybrids screened, none of them were found to be highly resistant, resistant and moderately resistant during both the seasons. During kharif 2018 out of fourteen hybrids screened, six hybrids were found to be moderately susceptible viz., Maxibell, Shristika, SV1865PB, Asha, Arka Gaurav and Arka Basanti for leaf curl disease. For mild mottle disease, hybrids Arka Gaurav and Arka Basanti recorded moderately resistant reaction. However, during rabi 2018-19 eight hybrids viz., Maxibell, Shristika, SV1865PB, Asha, Indra, Arka Gaurav, Arka Basanti and Rithal showed susceptible reaction for leaf curl disease. Whereas, eight hybrids viz., Shristika, SV1865PB, Asha, Indra, Arka Gaurav, Arka Basanti, 35-160-R2 and NSX 8 recorded moderately susceptible for mosaic disease. The symptoms observed during screening included mosaic and mottling, yellow discoloration, vein clearing, leaf deformation and narrowing, stunted plant growth, reduced fruit setting and light green colour mottling symptoms on fruits.

The experiment was conducted during Kharif seasons of 2018-19 at AICRP (Vegetables) RHREC, Dharwad, Karnataka. The experiment was laid out in a randomized block design (RBD) with six treatments with four replications. Significantly higher plant height of 150.17 cm, number of fruits per plant (61.67), average fruit weight of 59.59 g, fruit yield per plant of 4395.29 g, fruit yield per hectare of 375.69 q and lower per cent diseases incidence of 1.25 per cent were registered under the treatment T1 (Root stock: Solanum torvum Scion: Any popular hybrid of the region (MAHY Super-10). While treatment T2 (Root stock: Surya Scion: MAHY Super-10) found to be on par with T1 with regard to yield per hectare (342.18 q/ha) and per cent diseases incidence of 7.78 per cent.

Significantly lowest dry weight of total weed biomass and Number of weeds per m2 area are registered under the treatment Pre-application of Pendimethalin @ 6 ml/L + one hand weeding of 7.43 g and 6.67 respectively at 60 DAS and also Higher gross return (Rs.175095), net return (Rs.108768) and B:C ration of 1.64.

The experiment was conducted during Kharif seasons of 2019-20 at AICRP (Vegetables) RHREC, Dharwad, Karnataka. Significantly increased in yield per plot and per hectare was recorded with the application of T1 (RDF) of 8.7 kg and 183.05 q/ha followed by T5 (Vermicompost @ 2 t/ha + PSB + Azospirrilum@5kg/ha each) of 7.60kg and 162.36.33q/ha. Higher gross return (Rs.146440), net return (Rs.113540) and B:C ration of 3.45 were reported in Treatment (T1) RDF. While lower gross return (Rs.118776), net return (Rs.84526) and B:C ration of 2.47 were reported in T3 FYM @ 20 t/ha.

Effect of phytohormones on morphophysiological parameter of Kalmegh (Andrographis paniculata Nees) 植物激素对山楂形态生理参数的影响

Kalmegh Andrographis paniculata is an erect annual herb consider as “king of bitter. The experiment was laid out in randomized block design with three replications. The various phytohormones were applied as foliar at 30 days after transplanting. The treatments comprised of T1 (NAA 50 mg/l), T2 (NAA 100 mg/l), T3 (NAA 200 mg/l), T4 (GA3 50 mg/l), T5 (GA3 100 mg/l), T6 (GA3 200 mg/l), T7 (paclobutrazol 50 mg/l), T8 (paclobutrazol 100 mg/l), T9 (paclobutrazol 200 mg/l) andT10 (control). Results were significantly increase plant height with GA3 100 mg/l treatment while minimum plant height was recorded in paclobutrazol 100 mg/l application during the different growth stages as compared to control. The various morphological growth parameter i.e. number of leaves, number of primary branches were significantly higher in GA3 100 mg/l treatment as compared to control during the growth period of Kalmegh. The results concern to physiological parameters indicated that the leaf area, relative growth rate and net assimilation rate increase significantly in the GA3 100 mg/l during the different growth stages.

The treatments comprised of T1 (NAA 50 mg/l), T2 (NAA 100 mg/l), T3 (NAA 200 mg/l), T4 (GA3 50 mg/l), T5 (GA3 100 mg/l), T6 (GA3 200 mg/l), T7 (paclobutrazol 50 mg/l), T8 (paclobutrazol 100 mg/l), T9 (paclobutrazol 200 mg/l) andT10 (control). Results were significantly increase plant height with GA3 100 mg/l treatment while minimum plant height was recorded in paclobutrazol 100 mg/l application during the different growth stages as compared to control. The various morphological growth parameter i.e. number of leaves, number of primary branches were significantly higher in GA3 100 mg/l treatment as compared to control during the growth period of Kalmegh. Carbon sequestration potential in total biomass of Melia dubia cav. under semi-arid region of Karnataka 杜鹃总生物量的固碳潜力。位于卡纳塔克邦半干旱地区

A study was conducted to know the carbon sequestration potential in biomass of Melia dubia under semi-arid region of Karnataka. Plantations of 2, 4, 6 and 8 year old grown in different soil types such as black and red were selected and biometric observation were recorded at the time of start of experiment and at 12 months after start of experiment. Plantations grown in black soil recorded the higher values for carbon sequestration in above ground biomass, below grown biomass and in total biomass as compared to red soils. Among the age gradations, plantations of 8 year old recorded the higher values for biomass carbon as compared to rest of age gradations. From the results it can be concluded that black soil have higher potential to sequester higher carbon in total biomass in Melia dubia.
