The upcoming wide penetration of plug-in electric vehicles will impose significant challenges to the design and operation of the power grid, as well as balancing supply and demand [1]–[4]. The presented system discloses ready-made solution with minimal hardware and software amendments providing wireless control of simple chargers for electric vehicles.

The mountain rescue services in Croatia and BiH have been using UAVs on search and rescue missions for years. They prove to be very effective on the hard-to-reach Mediterranean karsts landscape, characterized by low but not too dense vegetation. After mapping some terrain segment and collecting a large number of precise and detailed footage from above, images are visually scanned and examined by search rescue member/s. In this paper we will examine the effectiveness of visual search of human observers for the purpose of finding missing/lost persons on aerial imagery.

Simulation of neural networks is a significant task for contemporary artificial intelligence research. Despite the availability of modern processing hardware, the task is still too demanding to be done in a sequential way. Therefore, a parallel computation approach is almost always necessary. Modern graphical accelerators (GPUs) represent highly parallel machines with a significant computational performance that can be unleashed only under certain conditions including threads scheduling, proper sources occupation, aligned data access, communication management, etc. We have proposed a novel acceleration approach for large neural networks. It is using a GPU and incorporating biologically highly precise spiking neurons that can imitate real biological neurons. The simulator can be, for example, used for research of communication dynamics of large neural networks with tens of thousands of spiking neurons.

The paper describes the process of coding information in the heterogenic multi-core system on chip for virtual-based security designed For image processing, signal processing and neural networks emulation. The coding of information carried out in assembly language according to the GOST. This is an implementation of the GOST – a standard symmetric key block cipher has a 64-bit block size and 256-bit key size.

The paper deals with the task of managing the risk sustainability of project development processes in software engineering. We study the formalization of approaches to reduce the risks of the quality of the processes of a software project and the formation of the principles of risk-based project sustainability in the face of uncertainty in the input data. An approach based on the theory of fuzzy sets, fuzzy logic and flow optimization in a directed network is proposed. The developed technique makes the analysis and quantitative assessment of risk events based on the vector of limiting indicators and allows to ensure the risk sustainability of a software project according to quality criteria. The advantage of the developed approach is the possibility of balancing the requirements for the content, time and cost of the project, which affect the quality of the development process and the final product.

This research work aims to find out how students gain knowledge involving in robotics instruction method and learning programing languages with robotics tools. Teaching programming language via hardware control such as robotics is very popular in this time and in the future. We expect this will make students learn programming language with great eagerness within very popular technology ‘robotics. The second aim of this study is to inform computer science teachers about how much their instruction methods based on robotics affects the outcome of their class. We expect this study will have positive effects to the field of computer science education. The computer science class is different from other classes. Computer science teachers have to use new educational methods because of continuously improving technology. The entire world are getting instant information what is new in technology via social medias. Computer science teachers should take the first step to introduce the news to their students in a practical way. It is the way to make students to see the changes on technology in the class.

In today's automated, interconnected world, remote monitoring and control are necessary procedures for the operation of several systems. The monitoring of environmental data is one of the most common telemetering activities, useful for many systems, from electricity microgrids, to smart buildings and remote facilities. Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) provide the technology for collecting, transmitting and processing information in a low-cost and integrated manner. They are functionally and energy-independent, easily deployed and scalable. In this paper, we present the design, implementation and testing of a secure monitoring system based on WSNs consisting of Advanticsys CM5000 motes. The sensor nodes collect a variety of environmental measurements and send them to a centralized data repository. Data transmissions inside the WSN are protected through encryption. At the repository, the measurements are presented to the end user in a graphical form using open source cloud technologies.

Development of digital systems with standard hardware description languages (HDL) is considered difficult to unexperienced designers due to complex modeling syntax and semantic rules. In the paper, we propose a novel HDL modeling methodology based on simple digital model description. We present an open online tool for model parsing, analysis and automatic translation to VHDL. The simplified language enables quick development of digital circuits and the tool outputs readable VHDL with test bench for back-end synthesis and simulation.
