One of the expectations from Agile software development is to reduce the cost of the project as the Agile development methodology focuses on delivering the right product and eliminating the waste. However, with shorter project cycles, smaller and agile teams the cost is not going down [3]. This emphasis the focus to re look at the phases in the software product development and one such area is regression testing. Regression testing is one of the most expensive yet important phase in software development, hence cannot be completely ignored, however can be reduced or minimized without compromising on the quality of the product. Researchers used several techniques to reduce and prioritize the test cases. In this paper we have presented various techniques presented to test case selection and prioritization.

In the seismically activated areas and in seismically activated conditions, the structure is liable to many forces driving the structure into motion. These forces are large in magnitude and may cause dreadful harm to the structure. Some structural mechanism which reduces the forces acting in such condition and improves the response of these structures by dissipating the forces are called as dampers. In this study effects of use of exponential damping mechanism coupled with structure is studied. Also the response of various finite element models have been shown. It was seen that the response improved by the use of exponential dampers.

Numerical models are widely used to characterize the vehicle dynamics in order to control the active suspension process. However, little information is available on the evaluation of performance when the model parameters do not match real vehicle configurations. Obtaining estimates of the influence of these factors on the system control requires statistical analysis, which generates stochastic data on the issue under consideration. A sensitivity analysis of the test data is one the most successful approaches to this type of problem. A Monte Carlo simulation with uncertainty parameters for mass, front and rear stiffness and damping was used with design of experiments analysis to evaluate the performance of three methods of active suspension control (PID, MPC and LQR). In this study a sensitivity analysis was developed to determine the relevant factors and the crosscorrelation effects of their features. The methodology is applied to a model of a passenger car, which is excited by an asymmetric speed bump and uneven road profile. The changes in the behavior of the main parameters of each controller were observed and evaluated as improved for the PID and MPC controllers and worsened for the LQR controller when compared to the designed condition.

The most imminent technology that Telecom sector is striving to deploy is the next generation mobile phone system IMT 2020, which is currently being disseminated as “5G”. There have been significant development in the research on fifth generation networks. Apart from being an evolution to broadband services (like increase in throughput, latency reduction, ultra-reliability, more bandwidth availability to users, etc.), it acts as a proverbial gateway to a plethora of services like Narrowband IOT, Machine-to-machine communication, Vehicle to anything(V2X), etc. All the stakeholders such as regulatory bodies, standardization authorities, industrial fora , mobile operators and workers must work in unison to bring 5G to fruition. The recently launched 3GPP 38 series expounds the specifications of 5G RAN, here known as 5G NR. In this paper, we aggregate the 5G related information coming from various stakeholders in order to have a comprehensive overview of 5G and to provide a succinct survey of the envisioned 5G technologies as per the 3GPP specifications.

Condition monitoring and maintenance of electrical equipments are very important matters as it has an enormous influence on daily life. Temperature inflation is a significant factor which concerns the performance of electrical equipment. In this paper, a method is proposed to compute a temperature of any point from acquired thermal image. Thermal camera is used for image acquisition which is a non-contact device. For the experiment, temperature profile of high-wattage resistors was analyzed. Current, voltage, power dissipation was measured theoretically and practically. The relation between electrical characteristics and thermal profile is analyzed by using thermal image processing. The results achieved from this study explains how electrical characteristics affect the temperature distribution. The results presented in this work can be helpful to estimate the safety limits so that electrical equipment can be protected from overheating and helps to diagnose the faults at early stages. This method can be valuable in preventive maintenance and it is safer than other contact methods.

Network security involves authorization entry to data in the network which is controlled by the network administrator. Intrusion detection system (IDS) is a network security technology for computers and networks. An IDS gathers and analyzes information from various areas within a computer or a network to identify possible security attacks, which include both intrusions (attacks from outside the organization) and misuse ( from within the organization). The main goal of intrusion detection system is to identify normal and abnormal behavior of an intruder.

Temperature distribution during any welding process holds the key for understanding and predicting several important welding attributes like heat affected zone, microstructure of the weld, residual stress, and distortion during welding. The metal-inert gas welding temperature in the heat affected zone was measured with the help of k-type thermocouple wire. The thermocouples junctions were made with the help of a soft arc of carbon arc welding. These junctions (hot junctions) were then embedded into the workpiece through brazing at progressively increasing distance from the weld line so as to record the variation of temperature with respect to distance from weld center line. The thermocouple wire was connected to a circuit at the Sunrom thermocouple amplifier. The temperature was measured on Arduino serial plotter. The temperature found during MIG welding were in good agreement with the expected temperature at the specified distance for a particular set of conditions.

SPS Engineering is a manufacturing company established in 1998, which produces engine and transmission mounts, suspension mounts, etc. This study is mainly focused on 5S implementation to help SPS Engineering reach its expectation. The problems of SPS Engineering were messy tool setting, bad working environment, and inefficient process flow. After implementing 5S principles in SPS Engineering, the average time consuming looking for and retrieving drill bits and end mill bits were reduced by 59.5% and 49.4%, respectively. The time reduction is the direct result of 5S implementation and allows SPS Engineering to manufacture products more efficiently and productively. SPS Engineering is one step ahead in terms of lean manufacturing company.

The surface texture cutting tools has excellent cutting performance in the metal cutting process, which can better reduce the cutting force and cutting heat in the cutting process. In this paper, we use the CBN tools to cut the AISI 1045 material by the finite element simulation method. Taguchi method is used to study surface texture tools of different sizes. Simulation studies are conducted by changing the width, depth and spacing of the tool texture. We consider the size combination of the width, depth and spacing of the surface texture, and select a more appropriate size parameter. The width of surface texture has the greatest influence on the temperature and stress distribution of metal cutting.
