Tibial malunions, which result in deformities such shortening, lengthening, aberrant rotation, or angulation, are characterised by the healing of tibial fractures in an unacceptably abnormal alignment These deformities can have adverse effects on patients, such as pain and gait disturbance, as well as long term development of post-traumatic arthritis. Treatment options included osteotomies, plate and screws, intramedullary nails, the Illizarov fixator, and external fixators. As there are several surgical techniques to tibial malunion that have been proven to be effective in delivering great clinical results, surgical strategies should be tailored to each individual patient

Background and Aim: Total hip arthroplasty is one of the most effective orthopedic procedures, adoption of minimally invasive approaches aims to enhance functional outcome and decrease the burden of patient’s recovery. Aim of the study: Is to explain the surgical approach and to demonstrate the results that were attained and the complications that occurred. Methods: 30 hips were included in this study; they underwent a n anterior approach for hip replacement. Complications, surgical factors, and patient characteristics were all noted and assessed. Harris hip score was employed to assess the clinical results. Results: The mean clinical score was 96 points at 1 year follow-up compared to pre-operative score of 54. One patient had a revision while other complications were clinically insignificant. With carefully chosen patients, the direct anterior interval for hip replacement is a viable procedure that produces positive results.

Introduction: Platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) naturally derived second generation of platelet concentrates, which has gained increasing awareness in recent years for regenerative procedures. This biologic additive is completely autologous, easy to prepare, has minimal expense, and possesses prolonged growth factor release, together with several other advantages over traditionally prepared platelet concentrates. However, reference data about potential effect of some PRF components on hard and soft tissue healing are still conflicting. The current article intends to clarify the relevant advances about physiological role of certain PRF components on wound healing in 50 patients. In this study shows effective wound healing in limited duration with p value of < 0.005. Conclusion: PRF has more regenerative progression than other platelet concentrators easily available, affordable and inexpensive for wound healing in minimal duration.

Background : The medical condition known as carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS) occurs when the median nerve at the wrist joint is being compressed and is the most frequent form of nerve entrapment-related peripheral neuropathy. The purpose of the present review was to examine the evidence that was available on the clinical benefits of various treatments for CTS. Method : Electronic research was conducted in Google Scholar, Pub Med, and Springer Link, in English and Greek language. Randomized controlled studies in either English or Greek language were included in the review, and there was no limitation to the publication date. The trials were required to focus on CTS and include the use of physical therapy, electrotherapy, or rehabilitation as key interventions. Results : 10 studies each comparing a different treatment modality with either a control or alternative treatment, conducted by various authors, and published in different journals were included. The studies evaluated the performance of radial shock wave therapy, pulsed radiofrequency, interferential current therapy, transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation, high-intensity Laser, low-level laser therapy, manual therapy, and extracorporeal shockwave therapy. The primary outcomes assessed in the studies were pain, electrophysiological parameters, and functional improvement. Conclusions : The implementation of a physiotherapy program appears to be advantageous to the rehabilitation of CTS patients. Ultrasound-guided pulsed radiofrequency, radial shock wave therapy, interferential current therapy, and Laser therapy were associated with greater improvement in symptoms than TENS. Manual Therapy techniques have a greater impact on pain reduction and patients’ functional capacity when compared to all the above electrotherapy approaches.
