Sebastian Faulk’s novel, Human Traces (2006), embarks on a new trend in contemporary English fiction. Through its representations of two main protagonists, pioneers in the field of psychology between the 1870s and 1918, Faulks traces the formative years of the development of the young discipline of psychiatry. Even though Faulks works in the realist traditions of Charles Dickens and George Eliot, yet he delves into such major questions as the role of unconscious motivations in human individual behaviour, the causes of mental illness, and the very attempt to understand the nature of the human being. The time frame of the novel expands from the portrayal of the struggles and relationships of a handful of individuals, to encompass the entire sweep of human evolution. Thus, Faulks in Human Traces introduces a radically new dimension in the development of the novel. This paper offers an attempt at evaluating the innovative thematic and technical achievement of a major work of modern fiction.

The study’s purpose is to investigate the impact of selected factors (Computer self-efficacy (CSE), subjective norms (SN), perceived enjoyment (PE), perceived usefulness (PU), perceived ease of use (PEOU), attitude) on university students’ intention to use e-learning. The objective of this paper is to advance a conceptual framework to better understand the factors that could affect the intention of students to use e-learning in Lebanese universities. The collection of the data was from 444 private universities students in Lebanon. The SEM analysis had been used to assess the influence of these components to intend e-learning system. All proposed relationships are accepted in the framework expected the relationships between Computer self-efficacy (CSE) and subjective norms (SN) on perceived usefulness are rejected. In addition, relationships between subjective norms and perceived enjoyment on perceived ease of use (PEOU) are rejected. Finally, results are discussed then conclusions and future research are presented.

This paper investigates whether or not banks in the MENA region are susceptible to failures. Two z score models are investigated in predicting the health of ninety banks across ten countries. Using discriminant and regression analysis, one can determine which ratios are statistically significant in predicting the health of the selected banks and which zone they belong to safe, grey, or distressed zone. The study spans the years 2006 to 2016. The goal of this study is to compare two z scores to assess if banks within MENA are subject to failure. According to the findings of this study, the Z score developed by El Ansary may be a better way for emerging economies to measure the indicators that rigger banks' risk level.

The paper’s purpose is to investigate the influence of selected elements (Accessibility, personal innovativeness (PI), resistance to change, facilitating conditions, perceived usefulness (PU), perceived ease of use (PEOU), attitude) on university students’ to intend e-learning usage. The objective of this paper is to advance a conceptual framework to analyze and to recognize the intention of students to use e-learning in Lebanese private universities. The collection of the data was from 444 private universities students in Lebanon. The SEM analysis had been used to evaluate the influence of these components to intend e-learning system. The results stated that relationships between accessibility on perceived usefulness are not accepted. Furthermore, the associations between (PI) and PEOU are also not accepted. However, all other relationships are accepted in the framework model. Finally, results discussed then conclusions and future research are presented.
