Computer simulation of soliton pulses propagation through birefringent fiber in the linear and nonlinear mode 孤子脉冲在线性和非线性双折射光纤中传播的计算机模拟

The paper is based on the software modelling of the propagation of soliton pulses and analysis the propagation of solitons in birefringent fiber. The analysis was performed for the case of linear and non-linear propagation regime. Soliton pulses in characteristic transmission points are shown (in the function of number of soliton periods). Appearance and behavior of soliton pulses confirmed the influence of nonlinear effects in the fiber.

Patch slot leaky-wave right-hand circular polarization antenna with additional spiral slots in the radiator 带附加螺旋槽的贴片槽漏波右圆极化天线

A new design of the patch slot leaky-wave antenna with circular polarization has been suggested. The peculiarity of the present antenna is in using additional slots in the front side metal of the antenna radiator, with their electrical length being shorter than the electrical length of the main slots of the radiator. The additional slots are implemented as spiral patches and located between the main spiral slots of the radiator. It is shown that the application of such additional slots allows microwave current lines to be more uniformly distributed along the main slots of the radiator, improving technical characteristics of the patch slot leaky-wave antennas with circular polarization.

A novel linearization technique based on modified baseband signal that modulates carrier second harmonic 一种基于修正基带信号调制载波二次谐波的新型线性化技术

A novel linearization technique for RF power amplifiers is presented in this paper. The proposed technique uses the modified baseband signal that modulates the fundamental carrier second harmonic. This additional signal processed for linearization is then injected, together with the fundamental useful signal, at the input of the amplifier transistor. Also, a prepared signal for linearization is inserted at the amplifier transistor output. In-phase and quadrature-phase components of the modified baseband signal are formed as the products of the second order nonlinearity of a nonlinear system fed by the useful baseband signal. The effects of the proposed linearization method are considered on a single stage power amplifier for quadrature amplitude modulated signals at different input power levels going up to 1dB below saturation region, as well as for WCDMA digitally modulated signal.

Multi User Orthogonal Frequency division Multiple Access (MU-OFDMA) performances in AWGN and fading channels 多用户正交频分多址(MU-OFDMA)在AWGN和衰落信道中的性能

This paper presents the performances of BPSK, QPSK, 16QAM, 64QAM /Multi User Orthogonal Frequency division Multiple Access (MU-OFDMA) and Orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) systems performances in terms of Bit Error Rate (BER) as a function of Signal to Noise Ratio (SNR) using different lengths of Cycling Prefix. The simulations were carried out over AWGN and Rayleigh fading channels, and the results for the two systems have been compared. Based on those results, a number of conclusions have been highlighted in the last chapter of the paper.

Vehicular Ad Hoc Networks(VANETs) are computer networks of moving nodes attached to vehicles. Theyalso include stationary infrastructure elements. This use of wireless local area network technology is becoming necessity and will grow rapidly in the near future. There is a wide range of VANET and associated Dedicated Short Range Communications (DSRC)applications. It starts fromsimple cases likeactive safety systems for driving, traffic information and collision warning, to more comprehensive Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS). Step up from simple driver assistance will be the complete takeover of the vehicle control. Finally, VANETs will support auto driver algorithms and applications for unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs). The aim of this paper is to present an overview of the technology, standards and problems, with some proposals for the quick start with the most necessary applications and for the future research.

Modelling insight into the resonance frequencies of the microwave impedance parameters for GaAs HEMTs 对GaAs hemt微波阻抗参数共振频率的建模洞察

The aim of this paper is to present a detailed and thorough investigation of the dips in the magnitude of the impedance parameters for AlGaAs/GaAs HEMTs. These dips should be attributed to the resonance between the extrinsic inductances and the intrinsic capacitances. As a consequence, the resonance frequencies associated to these dips can be analyzed to determine the intrinsic capacitances when the extrinsic inductances are known. To verify the validity of this straightforward approach, the extracted capacitances are compared with the results obtained with the conventional modelling method. The comparison is performed versus the gate-source voltage and the gate width.

Neural networks-based DOA estimation of multiple stochastic narrow-band EM sources 基于神经网络的多随机窄带电磁源DOA估计

Localization of multiple stochastic narrow-band electromagnetic sources in the far-field is considered in the paper. Artificial neural networks-based approach is proposed to allow for an efficient direction of arrival (DOA) determination of electromagnetic signals radiated from stochastic sources as one of the key steps in the source localization procedure. It uses correlation matrix, obtained by signal sampling via antenna array in far-field scan area, to train an appropriate model based on MLP (Multi-Layer Perceptron) neural network. Proposed approach is validated on the example of a neural model performing accurate and fast one-dimensional (1D) DOA estimation of the position of three stochastic sources placed at fixed angle distance in azimuth plane.

Whispering gallery modes in semiconductor optical fibres and optical bottle microresonators 半导体光纤和光瓶微谐振器中的窃窃廊模式

We explore the optical properties of whispering gallery modes (WGMs) in silicon optical fibres and optical bottle microresonators. In particular, a pump-probe technique is used to experimentally demonstrate thermally induced all-optical modulation. High quality (Q) factors and small mode volumes are utilized to demonstrate ultrafast Kerr effect based modulation and switching. Q factors exceeding ~107 are demonstrated for novel microbottle resonators (MBRs), fabricated from standard telecommunications fibres.

Direct position determination of wideband signals: Coherent and noncoherent approach 宽带信号的直接定位:相干和非相干方法

The localisation of wideband signals emitters can be performed using one-step techniques. Most of the one-step techniques or direct position determination methods are based on the spectral correlation matrix estimation. In order to improve accuracy of the emitter localisation, we investigate two approaches: coherent and noncoherent direct position determination of wideband signals. Using these two pre-processing techniques, wideband processing gain can be improved. In order to compare the coherent and noncoherent direct position determination of wideband signals, some simulation are performed.

Efficient replication of geospatial data for mobile GIS in field work 在野外工作中高效复制移动GIS的地理空间数据

Replication of geospatial data for mobile GIS in field work is important because it allows field workers access to geospatial data even in situations when a server providing that data is unavailable. Due to limitations of mobile devices, it is important to create a specific data set for each specific task. In this way, mobile GIS can always maintain the highest level of performance. This paper presents a module for efficient replication of geospatial data, as part of a previously developed GIS architecture.
