Curing plays a chief function in the improving the strength of concrete. The function of a self-curing agent is to save the water and to reduce the water evaporation from the concrete, and hence they increase the water retention capacity of concrete compared to the conventionally cured concrete. Prosopisjuliflora root powder is used as admixtures for self-curing concrete in this study. Prosopisjuliflora (SeemaiKaruvelam in Tamil) grows tremendously and spreads due to its mechanism to overcome adverse conditions of like drought and salt. With deep penetrating roots, it can draw water from deeper layers. Their root has high water holding capacity, so powder made from it can be used as admixture for self-curing concrete. This project involves the experimental investigation of self-curing of concrete by using Prosopisjuliflora root powder. Tests on fresh concrete and hardened concrete were conducted. From the results, we have concluded that adding prosopisjuliflora root powder as a self-curing agent in the concrete mix at various percentages, the addition of 0.75% of prosopisjuliflora root powder by the weight of cement attains the 28 days compressive strength of a conventional M25 grade concrete in 7 days.

Health care is a kind of livelihood maintenance and improving one’s health through prevention, diagnosis and treating illness, disease and injury and physical and medical discomforts in patients. The proposed system uses the Body Sensor Network (BSN) which is a network that connects the medical sensors all over the body, even the implants placed inside or outside the human body and can operate autonomously. The BSN technology is a core technology of IoT performing in the field of health care, where patients are of monitoring using a cluster of tiny powered and lightweight wearable wireless sensor nodes for sensing and for analysis of various vital frameworks of the human body. The BSN gathers, stores the information and also shares with each other, making it achievable to gather record and analyze data. Therefore it overcomes the trouble crossing under the name of manual checkups. Patients will have high quality services. The emerging new technology in the field of health care also concerned with the security of the patient’s privacy information invulnerably. Thus the proposed system mainly concerned with both the vital health care of the patients and the security issues of the patients via a sensor named Body Sensor Network (BSN).

The handmade tiles are manufactured in Athangudi, Sivagangai district. We observed that these tiles are reducing foot pain and appearing aesthetic look. But one disadvantage was that these Athangudi tiles were getting easily cracked. We studied that these tiles are getting cracks. Due to its lesser resistance. It shows some cracks on surface of tiles after setting and hardening process. In this project, we gave solution to rectify the problem for this purpose we adding the zirconium di oxide to cement paste at the time of manufacturing process. Because the zirconium di oxide possess high crack resistance property in these tiles. The field test (water penetration test), abrasion test, water absorption test and acid resistance test were conducted on Athangudi tiles with zirconium di oxide and without zirconium di oxide. Then the test result was compared between normal tiles and zirconium di oxide used tiles. Hence we conclude that zirconium di oxide used tiles are somewhat better than normal Athangudi tiles from the above result. We will conduct more tests and come with the conclusion that zirconium di oxide used tiles having better cracking resistance in future.

Pervious concrete is a type of concrete with high porosity. It is used for concrete flatworks application that allows the water to pass through it, thereby reducing the runoff from a site and allowing ground water recharge. The high porosity is attained by highly interconnected voids content. Pervious concrete has water to cementicious material ratio of 0.36. The mixture is composed of cementicious materials, coarse aggregates and water with no fine aggregates. In this paper works porous concrete with fly ash as a blended material is tested for strength and permeability for assessing the adaptability of fly ash as a substitute material to cement. The percentage of fly ash is varied from 10% and 20%. Various tests like compressive strength, tensile strength and water permeability are done on the specimens and results are discussed.

Septic system plays a major role in sanitary disposal activities. In developing country it is very essential for proper disposal of wastes for providing clean environment. In our country the government has adopted scheme, “CLEAN INDIA”,. For achieving this aim, the septic system is necessary to construct in each and every residential, commercial buildings and public areas. Septic tank systems are a type of simple onsite sewage facility. But groundwater pollution may occur and can create a problem. Usage of mobile septic tank can be helpful to avoid such problem. In this present investigation an idea has been arrived and the septic tank constructed by the way which have been tested for 10 days for decomposition using microbes. The term ‘septic’ refer to the anaerobic bacteria environment that develops in the tanks which decomposes or mineralizes the water discharged into the tank. The rate of accumulation of sludge is faster than rate of decomposition. So in our project we have used microbes for decomposition. In urban areas, construction of septic tanks are easier. But in rock exposures, the septic tanks cannot be constructed easily. In this paper, the problem is solved by giving an idea as solution by providing a “MOBILE SEPTIC TANK”. This will be helpful and eliminate such problems.
