Cognitive base station design for efficient spectrum utilization in cellular network 面向蜂窝网络频谱高效利用的认知基站设计

This paper proposes the architecture of a cognitive base station for 4G cellular communication networks. We have developed a novel priority driven spectrum handoff technique for Multi-User MIMO communication, where the base station creates beams for establishing communication links. Adaptive beamforming methods along with DoA have been used to dynamically create a beam toward the intended receiver as well as track the users and steer the beam when users are mobile. The work is followed by related simulations which shows 5.4 dB gain over the traditional cellular architecture with respect to CCI. Our proposed algorithms lead to significant increase in overall capacity of the network. It also promises higher spectrum efficiency compared to the traditional cellular architecture.

Radio model for sector coded transmission protocol 扇区编码传输协议的无线电模型

This paper gives the insights of energy efficiency of sector coded transmission (SCT) protocol for cognitive radio networks. SCT is a cluster head rotation based protocol used for cooperative spectrum sensing in cognitive radio networks. A modified transmission and reception radio model based on SCT is proposed for cognitive radio networks. Further the paper evaluates the effect of number of users, sectors and hierarchy levels on energy efficiency in SCT protocol. The frame structure for sending secondary users spectrum sensing decision data is also proposed in this work.

Universal transadmittance filter using CMOS MOCDTA 通用跨导纳滤波器采用CMOS MOCDTA

This paper presents a new realization of transadmittance mode universal filter having three inputs and single output. The circuit employs two current differencing transconductance amplifier (CDTA), two capacitors and two resistors. One of the CDTA has multiple outputs hence, called MOCDTA. The configuration can realizes low pass (LP), high pass (HP), band pass (BP), and notch filter using CMOS based CDTA which greatly reduces the space requirement and power consumption. The circuit offers the advantages of having low input impedance and high output impedance. Both the active and passive sensitivities are low. The natural angular frequency (ω0) and quality factor (Q) of proposed filter can be electronically controlled. PSPICE simulation results are included to verify the theoretical analysis.

Performance analysis of FMAC in wireless sensor networks 无线传感器网络中FMAC性能分析

The set of different sensor nodes randomly deployed in sensor area to capture the environmental changes. Sensor nodes are working with specific routing and MAC Protocols in the network. Performance of the network is depends upon the network traffic and congestion in the network. Throughput, latency, loss ratio, delivery ratio, energy consumption, reliability are the QoS of the sensor network that has to considered for performance of WSN. In this paper performance of the different MAC protocols like CSMA, TDMA, 802.15.4 and FMAC for different node density is included. Effect of traffic and congestion on performance of the network is also tested. Behavior of different MAC for heavy traffic load and congestion is checked. Results are taken using NS2 simulation tool for various QoS in WSN.

Design and simulation of Software Defined Radio using MATLAB® SIMULINK® 使用MATLAB®SIMULINK®设计和仿真软件定义无线电

Software Defined Radio (SDR) has been one of the new techniques developed to change the way the traditional wireless communication systems work. SDRs enable us to build reconfigurable and interoperable radios that can be upgraded for future technologies. Designing a multi-modulation schemes system in term of hardware will cost a lot and definitely consume power and increase the interference. This paper presents the design of baseband processing section of Software Defined Radio, using MATLAB® SIMULINK® tool incorporated with Xilinx System Generator, using QPSK. The simulated results of designed SDR system are verified through hardware co simulated results. The same model is then in its Verilog form synthesized in Xilinx ISE Design suite.

Design of a triple band-notched circular monopole antenna for UWB applications 超宽带应用的三带陷波圆单极天线设计

A novel triple-band notched circular ultrawideband (UWB) antenna with a band rejection characteristics at WiMAX, WLAN and C-band is presented. A design involving two concentric G-shaped circular slots etched on the circular patch structure and a U-shaped slot on the CPW transmission line is used to reject and control the notched frequency bands. The proposed antenna has good UWB characteristics from 3-12 GHz with VSWR <; 2, except frequency bands of 3.3-3.6 GHz, 3.7-4.2 GHz, and 5.1-5.9 GHz. The designed structure exhibits good radiation characteristics over the desired band and is a good candidate for UWB applications.

Design and analysis of GaN HEMT based LNA with CPW matching 基于GaN HEMT的CPW匹配LNA的设计与分析

GaN based devices are in great demand due to its rugged characteristics at extreme conditions. In this paper, design of GaN monolithic microwave integrated circuit (MMIC) low noise amplifier (LNA) with coplanar waveguide matching is presented to understand the key aspects of high gain, low noise figure and high linearity. The LNA can be used in base station technologies as frequency of interest is from 0.6-3 GHz. It delivers gain of 23 dB and noise figure 0.3 dB and OIP3 upto 51 dBm. The linear performance presented here enables reconfigurable designs of LNA over multiple octaves of bandwidth.

Recent energy-preservation endeavours for longlife wireless sensor networks: A concise survey 长寿命无线传感器网络的最新节能工作:简要综述

Energy consumption remains the dominant limitation in most sensor networks. An outsized and growing body of literature has investigated the energy-efficiency problem. In general, energy is afforded either through preserving the already allocated energy sources such as batteries or super-capacitors; or through harvesting energy from the environment; or by utilizing both approaches. In this paper, we highlight the recent research efforts for saving the allocated energy. A unique taxonomy of energy-saving techniques dedicated to sensor networks is provided. Therefore, this paper represents an excellent source for new researchers in this field. Moreover, we present our recent developed approaches within the same context including exploiting the concepts of virtual detection and Fuzzy transform for optimizing the power consumed by sensing and radio communication units, respectively.

Mobile Ad-Hoc Network (MANET) for disaster management 用于灾难管理的移动自组网(MANET)

Information technology plays an important role in facilitating disaster management and allowing planners for a more efficient disaster handling. Climate change can reasonably be expected to increase countries' vulnerability to natural hazards in future. We are already witnesses of extreme meteorological phenomena, such as expanded fires and floods. This paper gives Mobile Ad-Hoc Network (MANET) along with Dynamic Source Routing protocol (DSR). Simulation results for performance measurement of DSR algorithm for normal condition are given first. Same parameters are measured after applying disaster condition on nodes is presented in next section. In last section simulation results of disaster prevention condition are given. It is observed that performance of the network after application of prevention condition is nearly same as the normal performance. The performance is evaluated in terms of Network Throughput, Packet Delivery Ratio, and Average end to end delay.

It is observed that performance of the network after application of prevention condition is nearly same as the normal performance. Joint power and spectrum allocation for cooperative cognitive radio network with end user mobility 具有终端用户移动性的协同认知无线网络的联合功率和频谱分配

Cooperative cognitive radio network (CCRN) has gained much attention in the literature of wireless communication. In CCRN, cooperative relaying stimulates primary user (PU) to lease more spectrum to secondary users (SUs). This paper proposes a two stage joint power and spectrum allocation scheme for a CCRN. In the proposed scheme, PU leases unused licensed spectrum to multiple SUs using the frequency division multiple access (FDMA) technique. Here, we have considered that the end users (primary and secondary receivers) can move randomly in any direction. In the first stage, a pricing based dynamic spectrum leasing (DSL) has been used for PU to lease its unused frequency band to the SUs to maximize the revenue. Equal power has been allocated to the PU and all SUs in this stage. In the second stage, a relay assisted DSL scheme has been proposed to induce the PU to lease extra bandwidth to satisfy the increased quality of service (QoS) demands of the SUs, on the condition that QoS of the PU is satisfied. In this stage, power has been allocated to maximize the rate gain of PU and all the SUs. Numerical results have been used to verify the validation of the proposed methodology.
