Study of the Electromagnetic Emission Generated from the Underground Cables between the Low- Tension Transformer and Residential Units. Problems and Solutions 低压变压器与住宅单位间地下电缆电磁发射的研究。问题与解决方案

. Propagation of the magnetic field radiation in many residential areas within Riyadh City is high and sometimes exceed 300 mG. It has been found that the source of this radiation is underground cables that lies between the low voltage transformers and houses. The aim of this investigation is to find the sources of electromagnetic emissions and the reason for their emission and then develop solutions to avoid this problem. The outcomes of this survey indicated that the primary cause for the magnetic field radiation contamination results from the earthling of the neutral cable as that place for the earthling must be at one point before the low voltage transformer. This study has also provided solutions to avoid this problem through applying special earthling per dwelling unit availed by the client, where the company that provides the service of electricity test the efficiency of this earthling before opening the master breaker for the client . A complementary solution to this problem is to impose install breakers (MCCB) or (RCD) in the client box as a compulsory prerequisite for connecting electricity and electricity supplier install this breaker to prevent client overtakes. This study has concluded that many of the benefits can be achieved through applying these technical proposals to meet the aim of prevention of electromagnetic radiation resulting from technical faults in the electrical conductivity within the homes.

. Since the 1990s, antibodies to human T-lymphotropic virus type I (anti-HTLV-I) have been screened in units of blood donors at blood banks in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA). HTLV-I was the first human retrovirus to be discovered which naturally infects CD4 + T lymphocytes and can be transmitted through blood transfer or from mother to infant through cells in breast milk. In most cases, the infection is harmless but may develop a type of adult T-cell leukemia in which every tumor cell carries a clonally integrated HTLV-I provirus. The aim of this study was to determine the prevalence of anti-HTLV-I/II antibodies in blood donations at Aseer region, KSA, and to compare the results with other reports from different localities in KSA, as well as the cost effectiveness of anti-HTLV-I/II antibodies screening. A 4432 blood units collected from blood donors at Aseer region were tested for the presence of anti-HTLV-I/II using enzyme-linked immunosorbant assay (ELISA). There was no seropositive case in the tested blood units. Therefore, Aseer Region appears to be a non-endemic area for HTLV-I/II. Also, the current practice of screening all blood donors for anti-HTLV-I/II should be reviewed all over the Kingdom as it does not seem to be cost-effective.

A radiation survey in an area suspected to be contaminated with a magnetic field from underground transmission cables 在怀疑受到地下输电电缆磁场污染的地区进行辐射调查

This work presents a detailed study of the underground transmission cables at 231 locations within Riyadh in order to detect and identify the source of the magnetic field in very low frequencies ELF that might be present. The magnetic field was measured parallel to the path of the cable once and orthogonal with them. The aim is to explain how it affects to the nearby houses. The magnetic field is measured in the summer and spring season. Handheld triaxial EMF magnetic field metre (TM-192, Tenmars Electronics) has been used for magnetic field measurement. The measurement of magnetic field has been carried out at a distance of one metre above the ground. It was found that the magnetic field fall within a range of 1.3-197 mG with an overall mean value of 54.7±42.2 mG. The results show that the mean values of the magnetic field in this study was far below the allowable limit set by international agencies. The results of this study have concluded without doubt that the underground transmission

Morphological and Molecular Study of the Male mosquito of Aedes aegypti Linnaeus, 1762 (Diptera - Culicidae) in Aleppo – Syria 叙利亚阿勒颇1762年埃及伊蚊属雄蚊形态与分子研究(双翅目-库蚊科)

: The mosquito Aedes aegypti is the most important medical insects because it is a vector of many diseases such as dengue fever , yellow fever and Rift Valley fever which cause serious health problems. These fevers may be terminated by the death of the patients. This research focusses on the morphological and molecular study of this insect. In this research, PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction) and identifying nucleotide sequence were used for the morphological classification of Aedes aegypti , and determine its type genetic (DNA). The collected insect specimens were morphologicaly celly classified using taxonomic keys, The DNA was extracted from insect male, PCR performed with the MT-ND4 Mitochondrial gene that encodes enzyme NADH dehydrogenase 4 using specific primers (ND4+ and ND4-). After MT-ND4 Mitochondrial gen was amplified, electrophoretic PCR products showed the length of fragment MT-ND4 Mitochondrial gene that amplified was 381 bp. Then the nucleotide sequence was indentified for the pogment of DNA from the gene MT-ND4 amplified by PCR and compared it with the nucleotide sequences of this gen in the gene bank. Therefore we have obtained the morphological classification of the aedes aegypti at the molecular level

This study aimed to identify the most common ways of cooking Hasawi rice in the eastern region of Saudi Arabia, and the effect of different cooking methods on the chemical components of local Hasawi rice and white rice, Three methods of cooking were used i.e. shortening frying, boiling, and with tomato. The results indicated significant differences between the studied types of rice before cooking in ash content, carbohydrates and fats. The study showed that the cooking processes affected the chemical composition of rice grains. In local Hasawi the moisture percentages varied between the three methods and the higher percentages was to the rice cooked with tomatoes and the lowest for fried Hasawi, and the content of carbohydrates in cooked rice were statistically varied in all cooking methods, the highest value was for boiled Hasawi and the lowest was for Hasawi with tomato the percentage of fat, protein and fiber, was statistically differed between the three cooking methods. The higher percentage of fat and protein was for local Hasawi, and the higher percentage of fiber was for Hasawi with tomato, Meanwhile boiled Hasawi has the least fat and fiber percentage, and Hasawi with tomato, has the least for protein content. The white boiled rice has the higher moisture and white rice with tomato has lowest rate, while white rice with tomatoes has the highest percentage of ash , carbohydrates, fat, protein and fiber. On the contrary, the boiled White rice was the lowest. of nutritionists, to eat a balanced diet depends on the appropriate cooking method according to health status and age group. From These results we should choose the best cooking method based on the recommendations of the nutritionists and its suitability for health status and age group.
