Due to its pervasiveness, social networking sites (SNS) have a substantial impact on their users' lives. Studies have found an association between the use of SNS with both positive and negative effects. The level of satisfaction with life and dispositional envy were measured and compared to the content shared on Instagram by 86 Mexican university students. For this purpose, a total of 15,897 images were collected and analyzed with an image recognition software. Lastly, images were categorized. Results show 1) a negative correlation between envy and participants' levels of satisfaction with life; 2) satisfaction with life levels decreased, although minimally, for each image of the categories of Nature and Properties; and 3) levels of envy increased for each image from the categories of Education and Properties, and decreased for each image categorized under the Business and People categories. We conclude that Instagram provides a fertile ground to develop research on human behavioral fields, including education.

The modern education system uses theories given by Ivan Pavlov, Albert Bandura, Benjamin Bloom and Norman L. Webb as tools for making traditional classroom-based teaching easy. These theories work well when applied on one to one or traditional classroom teaching environment. In online education, it is often not possible to directly use these theories to control learner's classical conditioning, learning by doing, learning by imitation and social-cognitive skills concerning the course structure due to differences in learner's learning ecosystem. This research is the answer to this problem. In this research, we will propose a reference architecture for a lecture, based on theories given by Benjamin Bloom and Norman L. Webb. This architecture allows us to find tradeoffs between classical conditioning, learning by imitation and learning by doing in the online education system. We believe that the study of this kind helps the MOOC designers to design pedagogically effective MOOC's.

Webb给出的理论,为讲座提出一个参考架构。这种架构使我们能够在经典条件反射、模仿学习和在线教育系统中的实践学习之间找到折衷。我们认为,这种研究有助于MOOC设计者设计出具有教学效果的MOOC。

In this paper, we propose a collaborative task assignment algorithm to reduce a total response time in Multi-access Edge Cloud (MEC) platform. In the proposed algorithm, we derive a response time for each task processing place and formulate an optimization problem that minimizes the total response time of all tasks. Moreover, the optimal task assignment is determined by solving the optimization problem. In numerical examples, we evaluate the performance of the proposed method by simulation and we show the effectiveness of the proposed method.

The nature of Science must exist in Science learning. However, the most widely used source, the science textbooks, do not have a similar framework to the nature of Science. Science teachers need to use learning resources that are in line with the nature of Science, one of which is Adapted Primary Literature (APL). This study aims to investigate the science teachers' perceptions of APL and identify the characteristics related to these perceptions. A questionnaire regarding teachers' perceptions had been completed by 29 science teachers in Bandung. The data from the questionnaire indicated that science teachers' perceptions of APL is apparently high. Teachers' scientific publications experience was considered as a characteristic related to their perception of APL. Gender, birth generation, teaching experience, and school status are not regarded as related characteristics on teachers' perceptions of APL. The results suggested that science teachers' training regarding APL use in science class should be carefully designed.

With the growing popularity of smartphone devices, the demand for mobile application programmers has been increasing, particularly for the most popular mobile platform Android. Then, Android application programming has become one of the most important subjects that students should learn in professional schools and universities in IT departments. To assist self-studies of students, we have developed Android Programming Learning Assistance System (APLAS). To guide students to reach correct answers for given assignments, APLAS adopts the Test-Driven Development (TDD) method to validate student answers automatically using JUnit and Robolectric. The learning model for APLAS consists of four stages where each stage has several topics. In this paper, we implement Advanced Widgets as the second topic in the Interactive Application stage and evaluate it through applications to students in an IT department in Indonesia.

In this study, we report the curriculum of a programming course case study of senior citizens jointly implemented by the university and a local government in Japan. The objective of the course is to offer lifelong learning opportunities for retired seniors. The program also offers them necessary skills for impacting programming education in the local elementary schools. Through a questionnaire, we design the course by collecting the opinions of the participants to understand the manner in which the participants developed human relations and learning for one year. The research objectives are to study the learnability of the programming course and the course operation among differently aged participants. Through qualitative analysis, we observed distinct characteristics of senior learners with respect to their diversities in terms of motivation, background knowledge, and skills. The second course was taught by senior lecturers who had previously attended the course and the learnability of the second course was better than the previous one. With respect to the instructional design for senior citizens, scheduling, pacing, and diverse learning styles were observed to be the key.

The main objective of this paper is to show a state of the art of "digital citizenship". Furthermore, the aim is to promote the varied relationships between digital citizenship and education, from educational theory and policy to educational practice and research. Thus, we have extracted the documents from databases in Web of Science (the search results of "digital citizen*" were 411) and they were examined with the bibliographic analysis tool VOSviewer. The description of the documents claims to a dizzying rate in the last three years (half of the total) and to the importance of education as a category of scientific discipline (one third of the total). The bibliometric analysis provided co-occurrences by keywords and co-authorships by nationalities. The conclusions are the rise of the keywords "social media", "education" and "surveillance"; the increase of documents focused on youth and their digital engagement; and the relevance of American researchers followed by Spanish researchers.

Recently, utilization of hardware other than CPU (Central Processing Unit) such as GPU (Graphics Processing Unit) or FPGA (Field-Programmable Gate Array) is increasing including education field. However, when using heterogeneous hardware other than CPUs, barriers of technical skills such as CUDA (Compute Unified Device Architecture) and HDL (Hardware Description Language) are high. Based on that, I have proposed environment adaptive software that enables automatic conversion, configuration, and high-performance operation of once written code, according to the hardware to be placed. Partly of the offloading to the GPU and FPGA was automated previously. In this paper, I improve and propose a previous automatic GPU offloading method to expand applicable software and enhance performances more. I evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed method in multiple applications.

Currently, project-based learning is a learning model that encourages learners to become active learners. Learners are self-discoverers of knowledge through various activities and apply their experiences in daily life. One thing that should be developed alongside learning is growth mindset, because this mindset will allow learners to believe that learning can change themselves. Mistakes arising from project work will help to create learning and sustainably adjust oneself. In today's digital learning environment, it is easier to support the collection of positive thinking, one of growth mindset. These things will make learning more effective and sustainable. Therefore, this research has two objectives: 1) To synthesize a learning model in creating positive thinking for learners through project-based learning in order to lead to improve growth mindset and 2) To assess the suitability of the generated learning model by 9 educational experts. The results of this research will be improved to be suitable for the learners group in order to organize learning activities for the students further.
