Low cost sensor for the measurement of yarn input tension on knitting machines 用于测量针织机上纱线输入张力的低成本传感器

The production of weft knitted fabric demands a continuous monitoring of the yarn forces directly involved in the knitting process. This monitoring prevents the occurrence of unthreaded yarns due to yarn break, and thus avoids the decrease on productivity. On the other hand, more information concerning the knitting process is desirable, because it allows the evaluation of possible future malfunctions and detection of faults. The classical device which is usually used to accomplish the first task does not have the necessary technology to accomplish the second task. The purpose of this paper is to present research that is being carried out to develop a different sensor device, capable of complying with both objectives and thus successfully replace the present system, which is used solely to detect lack or exceeding force applied to the yarn. Furthermore, the solution suggested is a low cost one, allowing its installation in every feeder as the present solution. Some considerations are made concerning the problems that this approach present and the dynamical behaviour for different configurations of the system is discussed.

In this paper, abnormal operating conditions impacts on a three-phase three-switch three-level boost rectifier are presented and analyzed. A state-space low frequency model of the converter is presented. The main considered disturbances are firstly a load unbalance on the DC side, and secondly a short-time increase or drops of the AC supply voltage. The mathematical model of the converter is built using the averaging method applied on a dual time basis. The obtained parametric model, expressed in the (d, q, 0) rotating reference frame, is a fourth-order time-invariant system. Manifestly, the model parameters depend on the operating conditions. Simulation results are performed allowing the assessment on the relation's existence between parameters and their corresponding operating disturbances. Then, a feedback linearization control approach is applied to the converter. Effects of main voltage shortening as well as sudden supply over voltage on both line current and DC output voltage are analyzed.

The iterative learning control strategy for hybrid active filter to dampen harmonic resonance in industrial power system 混合有源滤波器抑制工业电力系统谐波谐振的迭代学习控制策略

This paper introduces application of iterative learning control strategy to hybrid active filter with the purpose of damping harmonics resonance in industrial power system. The control strategy can facilitate optimizing performance of damping harmonics resonance due to combination of feedback and feedforward learning control. In the hybrid filter, to obtain the proper reference voltage for voltage-source inverter based active filter, the feedback control scheme mainly focuses on the compensation of reactive power harmonic current and feedforward learning control puts its attention on tracking source voltage distortion and load harmonic current as fast as possible. The control strategy can also simplify configuration of the controller with only source current viewpoints and easy algorithm. The paper still establishes a set of strategy to self-optimizing performance of the system, and presents more useful criteria for identification of stable state of system incorporating reduction of THD of source current corresponding to reference voltage. Some simulation and experimental results based on 12-pulse rectifier system examined are given in the paper.

Multilevel regular-based binary multiplier for SPIM speed control 用于SPIM速度控制的多电平正则二进制乘法器

This paper presents multilevel regular-based binary multiplier switching method and parallel-full bridge inverter circuit for controlling speed of single-phase induction motor (SPIM). By constructing various types of 8 bit regular-based binary multiplier signal (RBM) modulated by single-phase multilevel signal, and then generating inverter output signal. This technique can improve the inverter output signal's performance, which demonstrates in term of reduction of total harmonic distortion (THD) and lower-order harmonic when applying to control the motor, resulting to improve the motor efficiency and performance.

Development of electrostatic levitation motor for vacuum condition 真空条件下静电悬浮电机的研制

To drive a motor in vacuum condition, many factors must be considered, such as friction and heat generation. Since typical electromagnetic motors structurally have problems of friction and heat generation, it is difficult to use them in vacuum condition. Besides, in some vacuum applications like EB lithography, SEM, and TEM, electromagnetic motors are unlikely to be used since existence of electromagnetic field is a fatal problem. We propose an application of non-contact levitation electrostatic motor using dual excitation multiphase electrostatic drive (DEMED) system to those fields. We have developed a direct drive high-power electrostatic linear motor called DEMED. DEMED is a linear synchronous motor that consists of pairs of thin plates, stator and slider, and possesses a power per weight ratio of 230 W/kg and acceleration of over 100 G in an open loop systems in dielectric liquid. These performances are higher than those of typical electromagnetic drives. In this paper non-contact levitation and driving control system for DEMED is proposed. A levitation motor using DEMED utilizes the same electrodes for both levitation and driving. For controlling attractive force, bias voltage is superposed onto driving voltage. We have fabricated prototype motor with 2-DOF and have realized levitation drive control. The fabricated motor was operated at a speed of 20 mm/s with keeping a levitation gap of 200 /spl mu/m.

A mitigation method for non-eliminated harmonics of SHEPWM three-level multipulse three-phase active front end converter SHEPWM三电平多脉冲三相有源前端变换器非消除谐波的抑制方法

Three-level NPC active-front-end (3LAFE) converters can be applied for high-power medium voltage applications, with 4-quadrant unity-power factor operation, allowing for decentralized energy distribution and utilization, hence making full regenerative systems possible. Switching losses and network interaction limit the operation of 3LAFE high-power converters, especially in the case of GTO-inverters. That is why obtaining a low switching frequency and reduced harmonic distortion are the main goals when using optimum pattern PWM with a selective harmonic elimination method (SHEPWM). For 12-pulse configurations, the lowest switching frequency can be achieved using a 3-angle scheme for SHEPWM where the 11th and 13th harmonics can be eliminated by the correct firing angle application. The remaining non-eliminated harmonics of orders 23, 25, 35 and 37 play a main role on defining the voltage distortion injected into the power network, where the resulting harmonic current injection depends on the series impedance between the network and 3LAFE. This paper presents the experimental study concerning the regenerative unity-power factor operation of a 3LAFE converter, highlighting the possible reduction of non-eliminated harmonics by the introduction of slight variations of modulation index and DC-link voltage regarding a selective harmonic distortion factor (SHD). This work opens new possibilities for avoiding or reducing harmonic filters, especially by operating within weak networks and stringent conditions to be studied in further projects.

Three-phase three-level unity power factor PWM rectifier using DSP 采用DSP的三相三电平单位功率因数PWM整流器

This article presents the study and implementation of a three-phase three-level pre-regulator rectifier with digital control using a DSP. The structure has a common capacitive center point that allows the three-level operation and a low blocking-voltage stress on the power switches (half of dc link voltage). The reduction of blocking voltage allows the use of low cost and low losses power devices, increasing the efficiency and the power density with reduced production cost. The control technique used aims to obtain power factor correction (PFC), regulated and balanced output voltages. With the advance of DSP controllers, digital control is increasingly used in power converts systems and offers a number of advantages like more flexibility in modification code and less sensitive to noise. However, sampling time delay, resolution of A/D converter, word length of DSP and instructions cycle time are disadvantages over analog control. Nowadays, control optimized DSP's deliver high performance, great code efficiency and optimal peripheral integration for the digital control with high level on-chip integration to deliver system cost reduction, and powerful computational abilities that enable software innovation then reducing disadvantages of a digital control.

Harmonic voltage reduction using a series active filter under different load conditions 采用串联有源滤波器对不同负载条件下的谐波电压进行降压

This paper proposes a series active filter using a simple control technique. The series active filter reduces the terminal harmonic voltages, supplying linear or even non-linear loads with a good quality voltage waveform. The operation principle, control strategy and theoretical analysis of the active filter are presented. These aspects were proven by the results of numerical simulations. Experimental results of the series active filter demonstrated its good performance under different load conditions.

Losses in soft-switched and hard-switched voltage inverters 软开关和硬开关电压逆变器的损耗

This paper introduces an adequate loss model, based on the experimental results, which can be used to estimate the losses in hard-switched and soft-switched inverters. As an example and considering the use of IGBTs, it compares the losses produced by hard-switched, auxiliary resonant commutated pole (ARCP) and quasi-square-wave (QSW) inverters for different current and frequencies. The study takes into account conduction losses, switching losses (turn-on and turn-off losses) and losses in the passive components. In the proposed model, the device power losses are considered as a function of the circuit and operating parameters. Experimental results validate the loss model employed.
