We introduce four supersymmetric (SUSY) axion models in which the strong CP problem and the μ problem are solved with the help of the Peccei–Quinn mechanism and the Kim-Nilles mechanism, respectively. The axion physics enriches the SUSY model by introducing axion as a dark matter candidate and, therefore, the lightest supersymmetric particle (LSP) could just be a part of the total dark matter. For this reason, axion relieves the tensions between SUSY models and numerous experimental measurements, such as the dark matter direct detection experiments and the precise measurements of anomalous magnetic moment of the muon aμ. In the present paper, we investigate the constraints imposed by the latest aμ measurements and LUX-ZEPLIN (LZ) experiment on the relic density of the Higgsino-like LSP. Additionally, we consider the constraints arising from the cosmology of saxions and axinos, and their impacts on the parameter space of our models are carefully examined. For the axion constituting the remaining portion of dark matter, we find that the conventional misalignment mechanism can successfully account for the correct dark matter relic density observed by the Planck satellite.

In this paper we present the results of a new kaonic helium-4 measurement with a 1.37 g l−1 gaseous target by the SIDDHARTA-2 experiment at the DAΦNE collider. We measured, for the first time, the energies and yields of three transitions belonging to the M-series. Moreover, we improved by a factor about three, the statistical precision of the 2p level energy shift and width induced by the strong interaction, obtaining the most precise measurement for gaseous kaonic helium, and measured the yield of the Lα transition at the employed density, providing a new experimental input to investigate the density dependence of kaonic atoms transitions yield.

We use two correlated metric functions and transform/deform the pointlike global monopole (PGM) spacetime metric into a quasi-PGM (QPGM) spacetime one. We study Klein–Gordon (KG) particles (manifestly introduced by the non-minimal coupling form of the operator D˜μ=Dμ+Fμ, with FμR, and Dμ = ∂μ − ieAμ) in such QPGM spacetime background. We show that the KG-particles in the QPGM spacetime are isospectral and invariant with KG-particles in the PGM spacetime, provided that the two metric functions are correlated. The Wu-Yang magnetic monopole (WYMM) is also included in the process. We report the effects of both monopoles PGM/QPGM and WYMM on the spectroscopic structure of two models, KG-oscillators and KG-Coulomb particles in such spacetime background. Moreover, we discuss KG-Coulomb particles and shifted KG-oscillators in a PGM spacetime and a WYMM, where such models are manifestly introduced by some Lorentz scalar interaction potentials S(r). The current study is not only of fundamental observability nature but also of pedagogical interest in quantum gravity.

We investigate the radiative QED corrections to the lepton (L = e, μ and τ) anomalous magnetic moment due to the contributions of diagrams with insertions of the photon vacuum polarisation operator consisting solely of four closed lepton (l = e, μ and τ) loops. Moreover, we focus on specific operators with two loops formed by leptons L of the same type as the external one, the other two formed by leptons different from L. The approach is essentially based on the employment of the Mellin–Barnes representation of the x-parametrization of the corresponding Feynman diagrams. This allows one to obtain, for the first time, exact analytical expressions for the radiative corrections of the tenth order w.r.t. the electromagnetic coupling constant e. Analytically, the radiative corrections are expressed in terms of the ratio r = m/mL of the internal to external lepton masses. The dependence on r is investigated numerically in the whole interval of r, 0 < r < ∞ . To make comparisons with earlier published results possible, our exact analytical expressions are expanded as r → 0 and r → ∞ and compared with the corresponding asymptotic expansions known in the literature.

High-K isomeric states in even–even nuclei are described within a mean-field framework with full blocking and using the finite range Gogny force. Theoretical calculations of low energy spectra of several nuclei across the nuclear chart are compared with equal filling approximation results and experimental data. Despite the global character of the employed interactions, a good agreement between the different many-body methods and experimental data is found.

Addressing the mass origin and properties of neutrinos is of strong interest to particle physics, baryogenesis and cosmology. Popular explanations involve physics beyond the standard model, for example, the dimension-5 Weinberg operator or heavy Majorana neutrinos arising from ‘seesaw’ models. The current best direct limits on the electron neutrino mass, derived from nuclei beta decay or neutrinoless double beta decay processes, are at the sub-electronvolt level. Here we propose a novel neutrino–neutrino collider where the neutrino beam is generated from TeV scale muon decays. Such collisions can happen between either neutrinos and anti-neutrinos, or neutrinos and neutrinos. We find that with a tiny integrated luminosity of about 10−5 fb−1 we can already expect to observe direct neutrino anti-neutrino annihilation, νν¯Z, which also opens the door to explore neutrino related resonances νν¯X. The low luminosity requirement can accommodate a relatively large emittance muon beam. Such a device would also allow for probing heavy Majorana neutrino and effective Majorana neutrino mass through νν → HH to a competitive level, for both electron and muon types.

We study the heavy quark energy loss in the presence of a background magnetic field. The analysis considers the high magnetic field generated by spectators from initial hard collisions that were incorporated using the medium-modified Debye mass, determined from quark condensates at finite temperature and magnetic field via recent lattice quantum chromodynamics calculations. We analyse the impact of medium polarization on the heavy quark propagation in a quark–gluon plasma formed in relativistic heavy-ion colliders like relativistic heavy ion collider and large hadron collider. For simplification, we considered the static medium with constant temperature and magnetic field values. Then, we explore the nuclear modification factor (RAA) at different magnitudes of magnetic field strengths at fixed temperatures. The energy loss of heavy quarks significantly increases, leading to RAA suppression at higher magnetic field values.

In recent years, there has been tremendous progress in the investigation of bound systems of quarks with multiplicities beyond the more usual two- and three-quark systems. Experimental and theoretical progress has been made in the four-, five- and even six-quark sectors. In this paper, we review the possible lightest six-quark states using a simple ansatz based on SU(3) symmetry and evaluate the most promising decay branches. The work will be useful to help focus future experimental searches in this six-quark sector.

The deformation-related properties of the single-particle spectrum generated by a fractional rotational group with mixed derivative definitions are investigated in order to ascertain the spectrum's suitability as a viable microscopic model. A new parametrization is proposed based on fits on experimental single-particle levels. The performance of the resulting model is judged by calculating the microscopic contribution to the masses and the ground state deformation of even–even nuclei.
