Utilization of chicken manure as organic fertilizer to increase growth and production Elephant grass (Pennisetum purpureum) 利用鸡粪作为有机肥促进象草生长和产量的研究

This study aims to determine the level of growth and production of  Pennisetum purpureum which is given organic fertilizer based on chicken manure with different proportions. This research was carried out on land belonging to the Independent Farmers group in Leosama village, Kakuluk Mesak sub-district, Belu Regency, East Nusa Tenggara, which started from March to June 2022. This research was carried out using the experimental method with a Randomized Block Design (RDB) consisting of 4 treatments and 4 replications so that there are 16 experimental plots in total. The treatments tested consisted of: K) Control (without chicken manure); PA) Pennisetum purpureum is given organic fertilizer made from 25% chicken manure; PB) Pennisetum purpureum is given organic fertilizer made from 50% chicken manure; and PC) Pennisetum purpureum fertilized with organic fertilizer made from 75% chicken manure. The results showed that the application of organic fertilizers made from chicken manure had a very significant effect (p<0.01) on the growth of plant height, number of leaves and leaf length as well as the fresh weight and dry weight of Pennisetum purpureum plants. The conclusion of this study is the use of organic fertilizers made from chicken manure up to 75% is the best in increasing the growth and production of  Pennisetum

The Effect of Addition of Garlic and Lemongrass on Media for the Preparation of Salted Chicken Eggs on Organoleptic Test 大蒜和柠檬草对咸蛋制作培养基的影响及感官试验

The objective of this research was to observe organoleptic quality of salted egg with garlic and lemongrass addition. The materials used in this study were 40 eggs, water, garlic, lemongrass and krasak salt (table salt). This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) with 3 treatments and 3 replications, namely P0 = Control, P1 = Addition of garlic and lemongrass 15%, and P2 = Addition of garlic and lemongrass 30%. The parameters observed this study were the organoleptic values ​​of color, taste and texture. Data were analyzed using ANOVA, if significantly different then continued with Duncan's test. The results of the study adding garlic and lemongrass had a significant effect on organoleptic values ​​(taste and texture). The average value of the organoleptic test for salted chicken eggs is color 4.3-4.53; taste 3.93-4.83 and texture 3.40-4.43. Based on these results it can be concluded that the best results on organoleptic values ​​(color, taste and texture) are P2 (30%). It is suggested to further researchers to conduct further research to find out the shelf life of salted eggs for commercialization in the community.

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect the effect of black kabesak (Acacia nilotica) pods supplementation levels on nursing behaviors of culled female Ongole cows fed banana stem, rice straw and rice bran as a basal diet. Three 8-9-year-old culled female Ongole cows (initial live weight 194-210.5 kg) were used in this study following a 3 x 3 Latin Square Design (LSD). The treatments were a basal diet and supplementation of A. nilotica 0% (P0), 0.5% (P0.5) and 1% (P1) of body weight, respectively. The variables observed were nursing behaviors which included length of nursing in the morning, noon and afternoon; milk consumption in the morning, noon and afternoon; total nursing length; and milk production. Data obtained from this study were analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA) of SPSS 23. The results showed that there were no different between treatments on nursing behaviors of culled female Ongole cows. It is concluded that supplementation of A. nilotica pods up to 1% of body weight could be used to feed culled female Ongole cows during nursing.

This study aims to find out how the potential for developing free-range chicken rearing in Braja Dewa Village is. The research was conducted in Way Jepara District, East Lampung. The research was conducted in Way Jepara District, East Lampung. In this study using a survey method. The number of samples is 20 respondents, the population can be considered homogeneous because it has relatively the same characteristics or traits among one another. The research was conducted April-May 2023. The data obtained for the formulation of alternative strategies, namely qualitative and quantitative data which will be processed and analyzed using the SWOT analysis method to determine both potential and development in free-range chicken farming activities. The results of the study with SWOT analysis are that the potential in the strategy for developing free-range chicken farming run by the people of Braja Dewa Village, Way Jepara District, East Lampung Regency is strongly influenced by external factors, namely the highest opportunity is high market demand for free-range chicken meat. While internal factors, the highest strength is the high selling price of free-range chicken. This means that the internal position of free-range chicken farming business development has a strong position in terms of strengths and weaknesses.

Analysis of Protein and Fat Content in Beef Meatballs Sold in the Kefamenanu City 市售牛肉肉丸的蛋白质及脂肪含量分析

­This study aims to analyze  the protein content and fat content of  meatballs sold  in the city of kefamenanu. This research has been carriend out at the architektural livestock chemistry laboratory Nusa Cendana University. The methods Used to measure the protein content and fat content are Soxhlet Extraction Method and the Macro-Kjehldahl Method. The variables observed were the protein content and fat content sold  in the city of  Kefamenanu. The data obtained were tabulated using  tables and graphs and then analyzed descriptively. The results of this study indicate that  the protein content and fat content of beef meatballs circulating in the city of kefamenanu has a protein content below the SNI standard, while the fat content of beef meatballs has met SNI standard.

The Application of technical aspects of raising swamp buffalo in Pangean sub-district, Kuantan Singingi Regency 关丹Singingi县Pangean街道沼泽水牛养殖技术应用

Buffalo (Baballus buballis) is a large ruminant livestock that has long been known by the people of Indonesia. Pangean sub-district is a sub-district that has a fairly large population of buffalo, namely 876 heads. In general, farms in Pangean District have not implemented the technical aspects of maintenance and there are still many deficiencies that need to be addressed and repaired by breeders. This study aimed to determine the application of technical aspects of maintenance including parts of breeding, housing, feed, health and maintenance management in Pangean District, Kuantan Singingi Regency and the structure of the buffalo population. The method used in this study was a survey method with 151 farmers as respondents. The variables in the study were the profile of respondents, aspects of breeding, housing, feed, health, maintenance management, and population structure of buffaloes. The results of this study indicate that the characteristics of the respondents consisted of 79.47% male and 20.53% female, the age of the breeders ranged from 32-68 years, 35.76% graduated from high school, had livestock farming experience of 1-13 years, and the main occupation was as farmers 49.01%. Implementation of technical aspects of maintenance with the following percentages: nursery aspect 42.05%, housing aspect 58.68%, feed aspect 33.33%, health aspect 73.51%, and maintenance management aspect 62.03%. It can be concluded that overall the technical aspects of raising buffalo livestock in Pangean District, Kuantan Singingi Regency, with an unfavorable percentage of 53.92%. The population structure of buffalo in the Pangean District is dominated by female livestock.

Characteristics of Fried Milk Made of Cows Milk by Using of Papain as a Coagulant 用木瓜蛋白酶作混凝剂制备牛奶油炸乳的特性研究

This research aims to determine the effect of the use of papain as a coagulant on physical and organoleptic of fried milk made of cows milk.  The Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 4 replication was applied in this experiment. Those treatment were papain levels tested consist: P1: 0.5% of milk volume, P2: 1% of milk volume, P3: 1.5% of milk volume and P4: 2% of milk volume. Variables measured were curd yield, fried milk yield, density, pH, color, taste, aroma and texture. The results showed that the treatment had a significant effect (P<0.05) on curd yield, density, pH and texture of fried milk and had no significant effect (P>0.05) on fried milk yield, color, taste and aroma. It can be concluded that increasing of papain level can decreased curd yield and density, increasing of  fried milk yield, pH and smoother in texture,but  stabilized in  color, taste and aroma of fried milk. The best results found at the use of papain as much as 0.5% (P1) .

Flamboyant (Delonix regia) is a plant that thrives all year round. This study aims to evaluate the nutritional content of flamboyant leaves processed with different processing methods. The study took in the Animal Feed Nutrition Laboratory of State Agricultural Polytechnic of Kupang from June to August 2022. The experimental design used was a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 5 treatments and 5 replications. The treatments tested were F1: flamboyant was dried in the shade for 5 days, F2: flamboyant was soaked in water for 4 hours, F3: flamboyant was soaked in a solution of rubbing ash for 4 hours, F4: flamboyant was ammoniated for 3 weeks, F5: flamboyant was fermented for 3 weeks. The results showed that the treatment tested had a very significant effect (P<0.01) on the content of organic matter, crude protein and crude fiber but had no effect (P>0.05) on the content of dry matter and crude fat. It can be concluded that the water immersion can increase the organic matter content, ammonia treatment increases the crude protein content and reduces the crude fiber content of flamboyant leaves.

This study aims to determine the effect of using young coconut water as a diluent on viability, spermatozoa abnormalities and pH of ram semen. This research has been carried out for 2 months, from June to August 2021, and has been carried out in a sheep semen shelter in Naiola Village, South Bikomi District, North Central Timor Regency and evaluated at the Laboratory of the Faculty of Agriculture, Timor University. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) with four treatments and five replications. The R1 treatment without young coconut water, R2 treatment 10% young coconut water, R3 treatment 15% young coconut water, R4 treatment 20% young coconut water. The results showed that the effect of treatment was significantly different (P<0.05) on the viability of spermatozoa. The average spermatozoa viability of each treatment was P1 of 78,0±8,15, P2 of 75,2±7,79, P3 of 71,8±9,44 and P4 of 66,8±4,54. Spermatozoa abnormalities were not significantly different (P>0.05). Spermatozoa abnormalities of treatment P1 were 8,4±1,14, P2 was 9,2±0,83, P3 was 9,4±1,34 and P4 was 9,6±3,84. The degree of acidity (pH) of semen was significantly different (P<0.05) between treatments. The pH values ​​of each treatment were P1 of 6,79±0,16, P2 of 6,53±0,34, P3 of 6,47±0,33, and P4 of 6,35±0,20. So this study concluded that the addition of young coconut water level of (20%) can still maintain the viability, normality of spermatozoa and pH of ram semen.

Potential of agricultural waste (rice and corn straw to development of cattle in Harau District, Lima Puluh Kota Regency 农业废弃物(水稻和玉米秸秆)对利马普赫哥打县哈劳区畜牧业发展的潜力

The development of livestock business requires the availability of feed, both in quantity and quality. Limited feed can cause disruption of production and reproduction of both poultry, small and large livestock. Small livestock and large livestock of the ruminant group can utilize agricultural waste as a source of forage feed. Utilization of waste is one way to save costs and also increase efficiency in providing feed. This study aims to determine 1. Availability of agricultural waste in the development of cattle, 2. Capacity of agricultural waste, 3. Carrying capacity of waste. This research was conducted in Harau District, Fifty City District. The research method used is a survey method with the main research data source coming from the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS), and supporting data from related journals. Data processing using the formula for determining the potential capacity and index of holding capacity of agricultural waste. The results showed that the potential of rice and corn agricultural waste available in Harau District was 74,389,240 tons which could accommodate 22,707 ST cattle. Of the existing population, agricultural waste can still accommodate 15,560 ST of cattle. It can be concluded that the development of cattle in Harau District, Lima Puluh Kota Regency, can still be carried out due to the availability of forage waste at a safe IDD level, namely >2.
