The circularly polarized resonator antenna using double polarizing metallic EBG 圆极化谐振器天线采用双极化金属EBG

The high gain circularly polarized antenna has been investigated, using double polarizing metallic EBG and excitation with a 45° oriented curved strip dipole placed on a ground plane. The electromagnetic band gap (EBG) characteristic is partially reflecting surface (PRS) in x and y axis, which is improved on the electric field of the both polarizes. In this paper consisted in improving the antenna design and characteristics. Ultimately, an antenna was studied at 2.5 GHz with the 19.04 dB gain. The axial ratio remains lower than 3 dB at the resonant frequency.

Mutual scattering mode for LTE MIMO antennas and its application to correlation reduction LTE MIMO天线的互散射模式及其在相关降低中的应用

A - mutual scattering mode -is introduced in this paper as a novel method to reduce the correlation for the LTE MIMO antenna arrays. This mode is mainly based on the increase of the Q factor for the closely-positioned MIMO antenna elements. With the increased Q factor, each element becomes a scatter for the other elements. Consequently, without adding any structure in the MIMO system, the radiation patterns will be separated to achieve a low correlation (even close to zero) in LTE 700 MHz bands. In practice, this high Q factor is realized through better impedance matching, which makes this mode quite easy to excite. When the effective MIMO element distance is larger than a certain value, better matching (higher Q factor) can not only reduce the correlation but also improve the efficiency (even though the mutual coupling becomes stronger).

Performance analysis of a seven-beam CDMA-based LEO satellite system 基于七波束cdma的LEO卫星系统性能分析

To provide a tool for performance analysis of multibeam CDMA-based LEO satellite system, this paper establishes a comprehensive evaluation model of voice and packet communication respectively, and proposes three performance metrics: capacity, throughput and delay. And moreover with a practical seven-beam antenna pattern, we firstly develop a novel simulation algorithm based on geometric relations to performance analysis. It is shown that system capacity is reduced with the increase of two types of Power Control Error (PCE): PCE for shadowed user and PCE for unshadowed user, but the capacity degradation caused by PCE for shadowed user is larger than the others; In addition the method of power overcompensate in power control can improve the system performance only within limits. Finally, the throughput and delay is also affected by PCE, however, the effect of PCE in high traffic is opposite to that in low traffic.

Effect of wireless charging antennas on transmission of an antenna pair through human body 无线充电天线对天线对人体传输的影响

In this paper, the effect of the spiral antenna and the loop antenna for wireless charging on the transmission of an antenna pair comprising an external antenna and an implanted antenna through human body is studied. The transmission characteristic of the antenna pair with a wireless charging antenna positioned between the antenna pair is investigated over the frequency band of 3 - 5 GHz. It is found that the loop antenna features a limited effect on the transmission response while the spiral antenna causes the transmission response to change drastically across the frequency band. It is suggested that a loop antenna, compared to a spiral antenna, is a more efficient wireless charging antenna for an implanted radio system and causes less effect on the transmission between the external and the implanted antenna pair.

Several novel omnidirectional printed dipole antenna units for LTE-FDD/WCDMA system 几种用于LTE-FDD/WCDMA系统的新型全向印刷偶极子天线单元

In this paper several novel wideband omnidirectional printed dipole antenna units whose operating frequency covers 1.92GHz to 2.17GHz(the WCDMA band and the LTE-FDD band 1) based on a basic one(Antenna I) are proposed. Through meandering and slotting on the micro-strip arms, the size of units get less. The experimental results which agree well with the simulation results show that the novel units have good performance on return loss. Indeed, two of them have better radiation patterns than the basic one.

Analytical investigation on DL MU-MIMO performance with increased feedback bits 增加反馈位对DL MU-MIMO性能的分析研究

This paper investigates downlink MU-MIMO for further improvement using an analytical method. The method shows that the potential benefit for MU-MIMO with increased feedback is strongly dependant to channel frequency selectivity. The introduced codebook with 8- and 12-bt PMI cases are shown to exploit the structure to significantly lower the complexity of PMI searches. Link level simulations confirm our findings.

This paper presents the design of 5.8 GHz reader antenna for Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) system. The printed diamond slot antenna with a bent microstrip line is presented. The measured results can achieve the operating bandwidth (|S11| <; -10dB) from 5.45 GHz to 6.18 GHz and can achieve the circular polarization (axial ratio <; 3 dB) from 5.71 GHz to 5.89 GHz. In addition, the antenna radiates uni-directional pattern along the frequency band.

Ultra-wideband balun using microstrip to slotline transitions 使用微带到槽线转换的超宽带平衡

The design of a compact balun using a pair of microstrip to slotline transitions is presented. The balun is intended to be part of a quasi-Yagi antenna for wideband applications such as microwave imaging. The output port of the balun is in the form of balanced coplanar strip-lines as needed for the quasi-Yagi antennas, whereas the input is a microstrip line. The simulated performance of the designed balun shows more than 10 dB return loss and less than 1 dB insertion loss across the band from 3 to 11 GHz.

Increase the signal-to-noise ratio of magnetic resonance imaging by a vertical coil array 利用垂直线圈阵列提高磁共振成像的信噪比

A vertical coil array is designed to increase the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) for magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). The SNR increase is realized by properly combining the output of each coil element of the array, and in this way the coupling within the array is totally removed. The method of determining the combiner coefficients is introduced in a simulated MRI system and the SNR is shown to increase with the number of coils in the array.

Compact flat monopole antenna for small aircraft of VHF communication system 小型飞机甚高频通信系统用小型扁平单极天线

This paper presents the design of compact flat monopole antenna for the small aircraft of VHF communication system. It can operate along the wide frequency band without the matching circuit that make itself compact size. From the simulation results, the proposed antenna has a frequency range between 112 and 130 MHz. It yields an omnidirectional pattern with a linear polarization. The simulated gain is 1.88 dBi. The prototype antenna was fabricated and tested with the VHF aircraft communication system. It has sufficient characteristics for the VHF communication system. It is found that this antenna can be efficiently used for the small aircraft.
