Learning Bayesian Networks for Systems Diagnosis 学习贝叶斯网络用于系统诊断

This paper proposes the construction of a Bayesian network for failure diagnosis in industrial systems. We built this network considering the plant mathematical model and it includes parameters and structure learning through the Beta Dirichlet distributions. We experience the previous methodology by means of a case study, where we simulate some failures that can occurs in the valves used to interconnect a deposits system. With those failures information, we train the network and this way we learn the structure and parameters of the Bayesian network. Once obtained the network, we design the diagnosis probabilistic inference through the poly-trees algorithm. It will give us the valves failure probabilities according to the evidences that show up in our entrance sensors. In this work, we try the existent uncertainty in the diagnosis variables through the probabilistic and fuzzy approach. Since the information provided by our sensors (diagnosis variables) is represented in a fuzzy logic form, for then to be converted to probability intervals, generalizing the Dempster-Shafer theory to fuzzy sets. After that, we spread this information in interval form throughout the diagnosis Bayesian network to get our diagnosis results. The probability interval is more advisable in the taking decisions that a singular value

Interoperability and Reusability of Knowledge in a Constructivist Web-Based Learning CSCL System 建构主义网络学习CSCL系统中知识的互操作性与可重用性

Computer supported collaborative learning (CSCL) is an evolving field that emphasizes the collaborative aspects of learning by means of artifacts deployed over a group. CSCL targets the development of problem-solving skills by means of a collaborative process of knowledge construction. Unfortunately most recent e-learning systems lack of the fundamental characteristics that guarantee knowledge sharing such as accessibility, interoperability, durability and reusability. In this paper, we propose the use of the shareable courseware object reference model (SCORM) as the technological foundation for a CSCL environment based on the scientific method. The contribution of this work is on showing the design of a Web-based learning system that promotes the use of the scientific method as a general methodology for problem-solving by helping the participants to find, import, share, reuse, and export learning content in a standardized way

A Novel Motion Prediction Algorithm with Collision Detection 一种新的带有碰撞检测的运动预测算法

The novel algorithm for estimation and prediction of objects motion in dynamic scene is presented in this paper. The proposed hybrid algorithm is based on computing the differences between consecutive frames of video stream by processing of objects time-varying edges. The prediction of objects motion and their possible collisions are computed by extrapolation taking into account proposed motion stabilization technique useful for analysis of irregular displacement. In order to avoid high error of route prediction and to detect the collisions between multiple objects in motion the algorithm operates with clustering areas of image using so-called envelopes. They permit fast motion prediction even the objects in motion have occlusions and rotation. The proposed solution has satisfactory performance for this still open problem of motion estimation and prediction

A Framework for Cooperative Multi-Robot Surveillance Tasks 一种多机器人协同监视任务框架

In the last years, security incidents, like terrorism, have raised new research areas focused in surveillance issues in different areas, and the automation of this task is an important research area using robotic platforms and fixed sensors. The use of a team of robots and sensors is an approach that has many advantages over a single robot platform. In this paper it is proposed a framework to develop cooperative multi-robot surveillance systems which could help in the development of surveillance platforms following this approach. A formal definition of the surveillance problem is presented. Then the sub-problem decomposition of surveillance for cooperating agents is shown. Finally, a case of study of a surveillance problem is presented to show the application of the framework

An Ontology Solution for Language Interoperability between Agents agent间语言互操作性的本体解决方案

Traditional negotiation systems have been implemented using agent architectures, where agents communicate exchanging negotiation primitives generated by each system, based on particular language definitions implicitly encoded, giving different syntax and semantics to their messages. In this paper we address the problem of communicating heterogeneous negotiation agents in a Web-based environment, considering differences in their language implementations. Our research is based in the development of an ontology solution for describing and sharing negotiation primitives; and a translator module which is executed only when a misunderstanding occurs. We executed experiments in an electronic marketplace architecture, where heterogeneous agents participate in negotiation processes. The results of experiments show that the proposed solution improves the communication between negotiation agents

Packet Loss and Compression Effects on Vocal Recognition 丢包和压缩对语音识别的影响

This paper deals with the effects of packet loss and voice data compression on vocal recognition over IP connections. One contribution of this paper consists in diagnosing most precisely the problems due to the compression and the packet losses for two different recognition tasks: the automatic speech recognition and speaker recognition. Another contribution corresponds to the proposal for recovering techniques in order to improve the robustness of systems under significant packet losses conditions. From the diagnosis, a more important degradation due to the compression on the speaker verification task was noted. The experimental results show that the techniques of interleaving based on the transmitter combined with the interpolation based on the receiver, prove to be the most efficient

One contribution of this paper consists in diagnosing most precisely the problems due to the compression and the packet losses for two different recognition tasks: the automatic speech recognition and speaker recognition. Another contribution corresponds to the proposal for recovering techniques in order to improve the robustness of systems under significant packet losses conditions. From the diagnosis, a more important degradation due to the compression on the speaker verification task was noted. Information security has been one of the most sensible issues when designing communications systems; especially when this information is cataloged as confidential. This paper deals with a secure system that let you get access to privileged data, when the medium access is a wireless network based on IEEE 802.11 standard. The system designed is conformed by three main functions, which capture the first http request and forward it to an authentication server; the server validates the user's identity in order to give access to the information resources. The control access entity determines which users are allowed or denied from the system. These functions are performed by a captive portal, an authentication server and an access point
