The acoustic sense of fish, embodied in the lateral line, no longer worked when amphibians ventured onto the land. The new acoustic environment where sound traveled in the thin medium of air rather than the relatively dense medium of water presented a major chal-lenge. The multiple sensors of the lateral line were replaced by one gross sensor, the tym-panic membrane or eardrum. We show acoustical measurements on the turtle shell that can suggest a possible explanation of how the turtle dealt with the issue of sensing the directionality of incoming sounds.

Exploration and Study of Jianpi Qushi Powder Combined with Standard Anti HP Quadruple Therapy in the Treatment of HP Infectious Gastritis of Spleen Deficiency and Dampness Stagnation Type 健脾祛湿散联合标准抗HP四联疗法治疗脾虚湿滞型HP感染性胃炎的探索与研究

Objective: To explore the therapeutic effect of traditional Chinese medicine Jianpi Qushi powder combined with standard anti-HP quadruple therapy in the treatment of HP infectious gastritis with spleen deficiency and dampness stagnation. Methods: From January 2020 to December 2021, 223 patients with laboratory-confirmed HP infection who were admitted to the Outpatient and Inpatient Department of Internal Medicine in our hospital were selected as the research objects and randomly divided into two groups. 101 patients in the control group were given standard anti HP quadruple therapy; 122 cases in the treatment group were given traditional Chinese medicine Jianpi Qushi powder combined with standard anti HP quadruple therapy. The two groups were rechecked carbon breath test after the designed course of treatment, and the curative effects of the two groups were compared. Results: 113 cases in the treatment group were cured by traditional Chinese medicine Jianpi Qushi powder combined with standard anti HP quadruple therapy, and the cure rate was 92.62%. 84 cases in the control group were cured by standard anti HP quadruple therapy, Open Access *Co-first author. #Corresponding author. †Co-corresponding author.

Climate Changes Consequences from Sun-Earth Connections and Anthropogenic Relationships 日地联系和人为关系对气候变化的影响

This paper is a study to understand how climate changed last fifty years. There are two theories: the first one considers the solar variability and the influence of those alterations on climate; the second one blames human activity and the consequences on temperatures and disruption on the environment created by humans. Our conclusions pointed out that dimensions involved between Earth and Sun, and Earth/Atmosphere, the second one can disturb the temperature on Earth’s surface and make seasonality variations impossible to be explained only by Sun/Earth connections.

The Continuous Relative Deficiency of Intracellular Potassium Is a Core Mechanism for the Occurrence and Metastasis of Tumor Cancer Cells 细胞内钾的持续相对缺乏是肿瘤癌细胞发生和转移的核心机制

The core mechanism for occurrence of tumor cancer cells is related to the continuous relative deficiency of potassium ions in the cells of organs and tissues, which results in em-bryonic like proliferation and differentiation in the affected cells. The purpose of the metastasis of cancer cells is to obtain and utilize the potassium resources in other organs in body. However, if the overall potassium storage in body is obviously insufficient, the me-tastatic cancer cells still fail to achieve the purpose of obtaining enough potassium and turn into normal cells, further proliferation and differentiation of cancer cells will continue, and finally will lead to functional decline in the organs and tissues affected or death. Therefore, the key means to prevent and treat tumors and cancers is to ensure the normal and balanced potassium ions in cells in various organs and tissues, so as to avoid the formation of tumors and cancer cells caused by obvious deficiency of potassium ions.

Method: Collected patients with mental illness who were hospitalized in our hospital from January 2020 to June 2021, and selected as the research subjects patients with psychiatric disorders who were treated with 2 kinds of commonly used antipsychotic drugs; and collected 3 ml of venous blood before treatment and one month after treatment for renal function tests; observed the changes of renal function indexes before and after treatment. Results: In the collected 694 patients with mental illness, before using antipsychotic drugs, the renal function indexes were BUN: 4.42 ± 1.92 mmol/l; Cr: 70.97 ± 16.92 μmol/l; CCr: 88.37 ± 21.07 ml/min;
