The formation and development of agglomeration zones in the Volga-Ural macroregion should contribute to the preservation and development of the demographic resource. Economic and social changes during the development of the agglomeration are likely to help the formation of the migration attractiveness of the territory.

The article deals with the studies of the bed load of watercourses on the territory of the city of Volsk (Saratov region). The research showsthat quartzto bethemostwidespreadrock-formingmineral. Asthe proportion of quartz decreases, thecalcitecontent increases. Ecologicalgeochemical state of the bed load in spring worsens as compared to summer due to the arrival of pollutants with melting snow from the urban watershed. The bed load with a high content of pollutants should be considered as an object of accumulated environmental damage. It can be concluded that recultivation of the streamways along the whole length is required in order to create a comfortable urban environment and reduce the negative impact on the Volgograd reservoir.

This article discusses the state of atmospheric air. Based on the results of the analysis, an assessment of its pollution levels in the city of Yerevan was carried out. It is shown that the concentration of dust in the atmospheric air has a well-defined annual course. The maximum values of dust concentration are typical for the warm period of the year. The greatest proportion of air pollution is observed in the administrative district of Kentron, the excess of dust content in relation to MPC.

Study results of the material composition and conditions of forming P Vogulkinskaya strata of the Tolumskoye field are presented. It is established that the formation of sediments occurred in coastal-marine conditions, in the transgressive stage of the sedimentation basin development. According to the composition of the allotigenic part, the studied sandstones and siltstones correspond to the quartz, grauwack and arkose groups. The study of secondary transformations showed that the rocks of the Vogulkinskaya strata were changed to the level of average catagenesis, characterized by intensive regeneration of quartz, intra-layer dissolution of unstable micas and feldspars, hydrosludization, kaolinization and calcitization. It is established that the deterioration of filtration-capacitance properties is associated with the development of secondary carbonatization.

Two species of Cygnus from the Late Pleistocene deposits of Binagadi asphalt lake are described in this paper, which have not been previously known from this locality. Cygnus cygnus is represented by the left distal fragment of the radius; the right fragment of the proximal humerus and ulna belongs to Cygnus olor. Morphological analysis with recent and fossil species of the genus Cygnus makes it possible to establish taxonomic differences between species, based on certain diagnostic features that can serve as criteria for identifying species.

The results of the paleoecological analysis on ostracods of the upper part of Sultanovskaya Formation (Boissieri zone) in the section near v. Alekseevka are presented. Five ostracod assemblages reflecting changing conditions in the paleobasin are defined. It was established that the sedimentation in the Late Berriasian time occurred under conditions of a warm normally salty with a calm hydrodynamic regime of the basin, mainly in oxygen waters.

On the basis of the results interpretation of hydrochemical indicators change dynamics and the application of bioindication method by phytoplankton communities the geoecological state of two artificial reservoirs located in the zones of influence of metallurgical works objects and tested rehabilitation by introducing two strains of algae chlorella: the Matyrsky reservoir (Chlorella vulgaris ИФР No. C-111) and Balandinsky pond (Chlorella kessleri ВКПМ A1-11 ARW) is given. The positive role of using the method of correction of algocenosis is shown. Changes in the ecologo-biological quality of waters were studied in water bodies.

In the established practice of geological exploration for oil and gas conclusions about the facies belonging of the rocks of oil and gas basins and individual exploration areas were made mainly on the basis of the study of core material. Recently for this purpose the results of seismic exploration and well logging have been used. Geophysical methods despite their obvious progress are indirect and intermittent core sampling and incomplete coring make facies analysis difficult. Тhe study of cuttings during the well logging process makes it possible to fill this gap through direct continuous observations along the well section. The use of the whole complex of geophysical methods allows one to mutually compensate for the limitations and disadvantages of each of them and more fully and reliably assess the genetic characteristics and reservoir potential of productive deposits. Sequential accumulation, comparison and analysis of heterogeneous geophysical data make it possible to continuously refine apriori facies models and forecast oil and gas content which ultimately allows to optimize the directions and volumes of drilling.

The issue of spatial planning includes the subject of taxonomy. It seems that it is necessary to switch to the practice of planning, in addition to the meso-level (subject of the Russian Federation), at two taxonomic levels: the macroregion and the economic microdistrict. To do this, the article identifies the main properties of these formations. On the example of the Volga-Ural macroregion the properties of integrity, complementarity and connectivity are analyzed. The idea of using micro-level nodal districts (economic micro-districts) is substantiated as objects of spatial planning. Territorial differences between economic microdistricts of the Saratov region are revealed.
