Fading Channel Prediction by Higher-Order Markov Model 基于高阶马尔可夫模型的衰落信道预测

Optimal and energy-efficient use of the fading radio channel requires prediction of transmission channel gain. It is often necessary to predict this value several time frames in advance to compensate the delay in the feedback channel. In this paper, the fading predictor based on higher-order Finite-state Markov model is examined. In the proposed method, the impact of channel gain discretization and model's order on prediction accuracy for medium and fast Rayleigh fading channel is discussed.

X-Controlled Memristive Devices for Automatic Gain Control in RC Oscillators 用于RC振荡器自动增益控制的x控记忆器件

Classical memristive systems, also referred to as the extended memristors, are generalized to memristive systems whose internal state can be controlled via the voltage or current of an auxiliary port. The usefulness of these proposed devices is illustrated on the example of AGC (Automatic Gain Control) of RC oscillators. The parameters of the corresponding memristive systems required for a smooth startup and low harmonic distortion of the oscillation signal are formulated. It is shown that this concept includes some hitherto employed methods of gain control as special cases, and that its key added value consists in the possibility of nanoscale implementation.

Prediction of Wind Turbine's Doppler Frequency Shifts 风电机组多普勒频移预测

This article deals with the prediction of the dominant Doppler frequency shifts of the wind turbine blades. Spread-spectrum of the Doppler frequency shifts of wind turbine blades can mask the radar targets. Current filtering methods are designed to filter only the complete radar resolution cells in places where wind turbines are located. However, these methods do not solve the problem of masking the target. The parametric model was designed to generate the dominant Doppler frequency shifts of wind turbine blades. The non-linear regression model was used for the initial prediction of the dominant Doppler frequency shifts. The prediction model was applied to generated and measured radar data.

The Simulation Model for the Micro-Doppler Analysis 微多普勒分析的仿真模型

The paper presents mathematical analysis and MATLAB simulation model of unmanned aerial vehicles with rotary parts for micro-Doppler signatures. Mathematical model is based on radar transmission principles valid in real physical environment. The aim of the article is to show effective simulation model for the micro-Doppler signatures verification and in addition to show some more details of micro-Doppler signatures, which are too complex for theoretical analysis. The MATLAB simulation model enables us to define all expected parameters of the radar signal and moving unmanned aerial vehicle. The paper presents three reasonable selected experimental cases.

Omnidirectional Antenna for Smart Railway Crossings 智能铁路道口全向天线

The article deals with the design of an antenna subsystem for a system which increases the security of railway crossings. Specifically, it is a design of a planar antenna array composed of several planar dipoles. The design procedure of a planar dipole is discussed. The article describes the design of this antenna subsystem, including its protective cover and input connector. The proposed antenna system has omnidirectional characteristics in the horizontal plane. This is necessary to achieve an even signal coverage around the railway warning device. In the vertical plane, the antenna array has a beamwidth of 20 degrees, which allows an increase of system gain. Finally, several samples of the designed antenna subsystems were produced and their parameters were verified by measurements.

Car plate recognition application OpenALPR has been modified to multi-threaded application. Paper presents an increase in image processing speed by this parallelization.

Entropy Based Image Quality Assessment of Stego Images Created by Pulse Coupled Neural Network 基于熵的脉冲耦合神经网络隐去图像质量评价

The paper aims to the evaluation of image quality assessments of stego images based on entropy. Two embedding approaches are compared. The first approach is based on a position matrix, which is generated for each image using the Optimized Model of Pulse Coupled Neural Network (OM-PCNN). The second, so called reference approach, is based on generating the random positions for embedding. The subject of research was to observe the increase in entropy of stego images compared to cover images for both embedding approaches. From the point of view of image steganography, a case with zero change in entropy is considered an ideal result. Experiments have shown that the embedding by OM-PCNN position matrix causes smaller increase in entropy compared to the random embedding. Therefore, the OM-PCNN approach is prerequisite for the lower detectability of the message embedding.

Modeling Output Signals of Solid-State Photomultiplier with Capacitive Coupling 电容耦合固态光电倍增管输出信号建模

The paper deals with the statistical analysis of output signals of a solid-state photomultiplier with capacitive-coupled pixels. The photomultiplier represents an array of parallel-connected avalanche photodiodes with integrated quenching resistors. It has several advantages over the single avalanche photodiode, in particular a significantly lower working voltage and a linear response. Analyzed in the paper are the mean and variance of the output signal for background radiation and for the reception of optical pulses. These parameters determine the requirements for averaging and pulse-compression techniques in case of full waveform digitization, which may find applications in range finding.
