ABSTRACT This article aims to analyze the importance of family participation in school. For this, this research was conducted with the managers of a school. The participation of the family in the educational process together with the school is of utmost importance, because by working together it will be possible to form critical and reflective citizens, endowed with possibilities and skills, so that in this way the school will be able to fulfill its basic and social formation. It is in the family that the first examples are followed in the course of their education and the role of the school facing the difficulties found in the family. Finally, the exchange of experiences with parents can result in a more significant learning experience for the student. This integration between family and school is a win-win process; the family can align the routine, monitor the child’s development and help them better. It is essential that the family and the school go hand in hand to promote a higher quality education for the intellectual and social growth of the student. The family is considered the first educational agency of the human being and is mainly responsible for the way in which the subject relates to the world.

Education is a universal human and peoples’ right and a public good. The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) points out that higher education is a broad and diverse group that goes beyond the traditional conception of identifying it with a university; it is called to exercise with autonomy and freedom its ethical and cultural vocation; acquiring challenges, functions, commitments, generating policies and practices for the changes required by society; Being involved in the generation of wealth, in social progress, in the fight against hunger and poverty, in promoting a culture of peace and assuming a leading role in terms of the effects of climate change; which then demands that it evolves, overcomes the fragmentation of thought, adopts rigor, openness and tolerance. This work is part of an ongoing research and in this first phase presents the product of a documentary review of different sources that lead to a whole theoretical framework covering aspects related to the necessary higher education seen from Transdisciplinarity and Transhumanism; in order to have elements that lead in the following phases of this research to a theorization that supports the transformation of the higher education system towards changes and adaptations; where the Earth is recognized and respected as our Planet Homeland, reevaluating the imaginary, the intuitive, ethics, aesthetics; looking beyond the institutions themselves, considering education for and throughout life.

The purpose of this paper is to analyze dropout and its causes, as it is considered one of the biggest problems that schools, parents, and educational systems often face. Dropout is questionable because it is a problem in schools, given the high dropout and dropout rates. Because it is considered a difficult subject, there is good reason to question why so many people are forced to drop out, as many simply drop out because they don’t want to learn.

Abstract The great challenge for pedagogy today is to awaken in children a taste for reading, to make it a habit in their lives. Especially in the initial years of their school life. This paper aims to report the importance of encouraging reading in the early years of an individual’s school life, as well as to emphasize the role of the family and the teacher in this process. The methodology was developed through bibliographic research, where initially a search was made for previously published works of great relevance to the field, the visions of each researched author were analyzed, and then the researcher’s versions were presented, following her own points of view. The conclusion was that reading is significantly important for the construction of the individual and that it is essential to insert the practice of reading into the students’ early years, in order to strengthen their knowledge base for the development of learning.
