The study objectives were: 1) to study current states and problems of relevant primary students in developing mix method mathematics instruction model for improving cognitive learning in mathematics, and 2) to evaluate the effectiveness of model. The model was created and implemented with grade sixth students of primary schools, in Thailand, and compared with control group, provided in traditional approach. The research participants consisted of ninth school administrators, and ninth mathematics teachers who taught in 6th grade level in the academic year of 2018, from ninth schools in Chombung District, Ratchaburi Province, Thailand. The research instruments consisted of questionnaire on the problem of cognitive learning in mathematics; a case study of two-dimensional geometry. The collected data were analyzed by mean, percentage, mean and standard deviation (S.D). The model was designed through methodology of research and development, which was composed of: 1) principles and theoretical concepts, 2) learning objectives, 3) learning process, 4) social system, 5) principles of response, 6) the support system. The research findings were as follows: 1) mathematics learning problem, it was found that the sample agreed with the problem of learning mathematics, 2) the development of a mathematical course model, 3) multimedia and learning resources of the system can support the teachers, learners and parents.

Writing is an important skill for language production. However, it is considered as one of the most significant problems that affect not only native English speakers, but also hundreds of students that are learning English as a second or foreign language around the world. Thus, students face many challenges in writing. The fact that students do not have interest in the Composition writing leads them to be poor writers, increase the errors in their homework, write run-on sentences and incoherent paragraphs. Therefore, the present study aims to investigate problems in undergraduate ESP learners' writing and factors that hinder their writing skills. It also aimed at obtaining suggestions on how to improve learners' writing skills. For this purpose, teachers must improve their students writing skills by using effective teaching methods and more reading and writing practice.

Black Mulberry (Morus nigra L.) is belonging to the Moraceae family. The present study evaluated the possible genotoxic and/or protective activities of black mulberry fruit juice (BMFJ), in vitro, using mitomycin C (MMC) as a positive control, by chromosomal aberrations and micronucleus assays. Human lymphocytes were treated with BMFJ concentrations alone (1/1, 1/2, 1/4, 1/8 dilutions), pretreatment (49h) (0.20 μg/ml MMC+ 1/1 BMFJ, 0.20 μg/ml MMC+1/2 diluted BMFJ, 0.20 μg/ml MMC+1/4 diluted BMFJ, 0.20 μg/ml MMC+1/8 diluted BMFJ) and simultaneous-treatment (48h) (0.20 μg/ml MMC+ 1/1 BMFJ, 0.20 μg/ml MMC+1/2 diluted BMFJ, 0.20 μg/ml MMC+1/4 diluted BMFJ, 0.20 μg/ml MMC+1/8 diluted BMFJ). The in vitro results demonstrated that BMFJ showed no genotoxicity, but it significantly decreased chromosomal aberration and micronucleus induced by MMC. Protective effects of BMFJ on MMC induced chromosomal damages most probably due to its free radical scavenging activity.

Child neglect is the situation where adults are incapable of meeting the needs, maintaining the wellbeing and providing protection for the children under their care. In order to prevent child neglect, it is crucial to identify the families in the risk group. In this regard, identifying the socio-demographic factors relevant to child neglect would help in identifying the children under the risk. Thus, this study aimed to examine child neglect in terms of sociodemographic variables. The participants of the study consisted of 402 secondary school students in Ankara, Turkey. The students were administered “Socio-Demographic Information Form” in order to gather socio-demographic information. The students were also administered “Multidimensional Neglectful Behavior Scale (10-15 Years Form)” in order to assess their neglect experiences by their parents. As a result, it was found that children’s neglect experiences by their mothers and fathers differed according to children’s age, grade level, school success, whether they spend time on social media, the level of their relationships with their parents and whether they actively spend time with their mothers and fathers. It was also found that children’s neglect experiences differed according to the age and education level of their fathers. As a result of the research, certain proposals as with the prevention of child neglect were brought for the prevention of child neglect.

Midnight’s Children tells the dramatic and extraordinary story about postcolonial India. The novel depicts the historic events which shaped the life of India that we know today through the portrayal of personal history of Sinai family. Midnight’s Children is a critique of Indian mentality, diversity, politics and history, but at the same time a study on human relations. In this paper I will try to explore the historic events in relation to the personal affairs. I will focus my attention on the far-reaching consequences of these events on the path of the country and on the individual lives of its citizens. Ultimately, I will attempt to answer the challenging question: Why have the diversity, plurality and cultural and religious differences divided a country and destroyed the lives of so many people, including the midnight’s children?

The present research analyses the discursive representation of women in the Algerian family code of 2005. It draws on critical discourse analysis (henceforth CDA) framework in an effort to shed light on the way women are discursively represented in the amended Algerian family code. For this particular purpose, the aforementioned legal text is linguistically examined following a CDA framework with a special emphasis on Van Leewen’s(1996,2008) sociosemantic model of analysis. The latter is employed to explore how women as ‘social actors’ are represented aiming to uncover the way power, dominance, bias, and ideologies are maintained in the target discourse. The analyses of this study reveal that the Algerian family code maintains and perpetuates women’s inferior position. These findings indicate that gender bias and asymmetrical power relations are enacted in the Algerian Family code in relation to marriage and its dissolution.

This essay provides a concise overview of the sites of conflict and discussion that affect contemporary Native American theater. To this effect, the paper will first explore the issue of Eurocentrism versus Nativism in order to reflect the long and difficult history of development of indigenous theater. After this initial approach, the much-discussed debate about the origins of Native drama will also be examined by focusing on two clearly distinct perspectives. In like manner, the chronological discussion about the emergence of contemporary American Indian theater will be addressed so as to review the different dates provided by several authors and scholars. Finally, the essay will explore the controversy about the geographical, political and cultural boundaries of the genre and will likewise conclude with a brief overview of the Native theater scene today with its initiatives and obstacles. As will be demonstrated, although Native American theater has a long and complex history, a great number of theater plays and a significant body of scholarship, the genre still does not enjoy a confident development, and obviously more work is needed to unleash its full potential.
